I took my Honda Accord to Cherry Valley Auto because the A/C stopped working. They fixed the problem very quickly for a fair price. I was hopeful that he new owners would be as good as Dave, the previous owner as I always took my cars to them for many years. Because I had a great experience, I decided to get the oil changed on my Smart car. Unfortunately that experience was horrible. I was told that my car would be ready at noon. I showed up at 12:45 and my car hadn't been moved. I was told that it would be ready at 1:20. It wasn't ready until 2:00. If that wasn't bad enough, I was over charged by $40.00 - two filters. When I asked in shock why an oil change would cost $110.00, they "rechecked" the bill and made the adjustment. Never again for me. So sad and disappointed. read more

Wow!! My sister was driving when her car made a horrible bomb sound and smoke came from underneath the car. She was so scared. She is a widowed senior and did not know what to do. She pulled over the car and called for help. It was towed to cherry valley automotive. Danny was so kind and told her they would find the problem. They did! She had ran over a metal object and it lodged under her car causing the smoke from scraping the road. Danny got it up on the rack and removed it and did not charge her a dime. Service light came on, stopped in, no apt. and they ran a computer check the service light went out but report said the Idle was high. Then light came on again in a couple weeks and we just stopped in and again they ran the check same results. But on another look under the hood Noah discovered a hose was not hooked up so he hooked it up and reran check and no more report of high Idle. Service light off. And no charge to us either time. It's always hard trying to find a place you can trust when you're new to town. As a woman, I'm always worried about being ripped off because I don't know anything about cars. I've got two older cars that run well, but occasionally something wonky happens with one. Randomly, my little Hyundai was shaking badly and I had no idea what to do. I do not recommend. The past owner(s) were very good but the new owners are not. For a simple transmission new belt and a set of new tires took 2-1/2 days of being left without our only car. They set the appointment saying they had the tires in stock. Nope, we waited for a tire to be delivered from elsewhere. And the mechanic drained and replaced trans fluid but failed to replace the belt despite being on the estimate I agreed to. This required another return to get the work completed. Other than a minor 5% discount for seniors which we had to remind them about, they didn't own up to the inconvenience they caused us. We had to re-schedule two important appointments and had to pay for DoorDash to deliver us food to eat. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE THERE! THIS IS A BAD EXPERIENCE. read more

We ended up here based on a recommendation from AAA after the van we were driving in died on the freeway. The guys here were great. They were responsive and got the job done. The diagnostics aligned to our (and a friend's mechanic's) thinking. The prices were reasonable - we were in a bind and did not feel taken advantage of. They are closed over the weekend, which meant we had to extend our stay and extra day - nothing for them to change, just good for others to know in case they need immediate repairs on a Friday like we did. I have come here since 2021 I have brought three different cars here. My mom, and sisters come here. I never had an issue. They've always done great work. Until today. I came in Thursday 07/18 and asked for a diagnostic, was told my positive battery terminal needed to be replaced. Replaced it the very next day for 388$ Once I drove it home, car was still not working. I called Monday and spoke to DAVE not who I usually talk to, and was told to bring it no charge since it was still messing up. And all to find out I didn't have the right battery like how did we miss this the first time around? he was charging 525.00 I said my cars under warranty, I can't afford 525.00 so I would like to go through my car company first see if they could help could I please get a paper showing the battery. He starts yelling at me, stating " since you're not coming through me you're not getting not getting it free, no paperwork, and I'm charging you 65$ now. I said you told me no charge. He proceeded to yell at me to come get my car. I show up, I waited after he helped another woman and I told my boss to hold on I was picking up my car he snaps his fingers ( 3 times ) and says hello are you looking at me do I have your attention? I said confusingly yes? He said I'm going to jump your car I said you told me over the phone if some one jumps it's it'll mess up my computer system please don't jump it if that's the case I can get it to start he starts yelling in which ( no elder gentleman should yell at a woman that way) I got nervous and started recording with how hostile he was, and he's saying don't jump her car, get this junk out of here, I was so humiliated and started crying I was so embarrassed I had my eight year old with me and he walks by laughing and says have a good day I have the video recording but it won't let me post, and I realized when I got home I got a call that my low jack was disabled so he disconnected my LOJACK system and was so upset he didn't put my car back together. Hes done great work on my cars, I'm sad I lost a mechanic over it seemed like he was ( just having a bad day ) and took it all out on me, in front of my daughter. I was 1 hour into a 5 hour drive 4:30 on the 10 freeway on a Friday night when my battery light came on stuck in traffic and the battery discharge warning started going off. I quickly exited and we just made it into this shop I found on google. They were closing at 5 and said we will take care of you. I had my 2 young children with me! Talk about relief. Within minutes my car was on the lift and the problem identified. My serpentine belt was shredded. Within a few more minutes the part arrived! With in an hour I was already back on the road. This shop is clean, the staff was all smiling, friendly and honest. The waiting room has complimentary water and candy and coloring books for the kids. What could have been a very stressful situation turned into a pleasant business transaction that was also affordable. They also gave me tips to talk to the dealer about some other issues I have going on with my car. They also checked my oil and tire pressure to make sure my kids and I were safe for the rest of the trip! Highly recommended!! read more

The Service Supervisor Steve Hardy handled my need for a complete tune-up and found that my brakes were at 5% of padding and needed replacing. The mechanic also found other significant issues that needed repair related to the brakes. With an itemized estimate of services needed, I and my wife were assured of what was needed. This shop is great! I'm in the automotive repair business (mostly collision repairs) & work with many repair shops. I also usually do my repairs myself but this time I needed to have a shop do it. $1200 and 1100 miles later the problem returned... phone call fell upon death ears as attitude surfaced. Stuff happens... and not all repairs hold true.. one would expect "customer service" at all times.. not just with good reviews.... interesting how behavior turns pejorative when confronted with a service that was inadequate. Make your own choices.. and not based upon my review of a repair that was less than what a good review would require..
