Amazing service. Halbert was very helpful in getting done what I needed in a very short time. Top tier problem solving and a good price!

Dishonest! I guess because I'm a senior and I live in a country club he could charge me anything he wanted and I would pay it. I have a 2014 Mercedes but it only has 47,000 miles on it and he wanted to try and charge me $1500 for a B check up wanted to charge me $150 to do the analysis machine I asked him for a copy and he says oh I forgot to take a picture of it. I said I want a copy. Long story short I left he gave me $150 back in cash but he still has my credit card number. Just do not trust him. read more

Halbert is one of the most passionate mechanics in this industry. He is incredibly caring, resourceful, and hospitable. This past weekend, I had a major emergency - I had a collision with a plastic chair that flew into my truck and punctured my radiator. By the grace of God I found Halbert's shop, called, and hearing out my situation - Halbert was able to squeeze me in and get everything back up and running. We broke down near Cabazon, heading back to OC from AZ on this late afternoon. Of course AAA suggested their local shops but no one had an alternator belt for my truck, or way too busy to help. And as expected, it was too late in the day for the stealership to make a quick repair as well. Thankfully, the wife found Halbert on her internet search. Halbert was polite, DETAIL oriented, and truly saved the day. His positive reviews are well deserved. If we lived in the area, he would be my new go to mechanic. read more

Had my car worked on here and I trust Halbert. The location is accessible and my experience work very good

My car broke down and I was fortunate to exit the freeway at the exit that eventually led me to Halbert. AAA towed my car there and even though it was a Sunday he came in to meet me, hear about the car's issues and communicate his intention tackle the job. The car ultimately wasn't worth saving (too high a cost for repairs) but Halbert's honesty and good communication were evident. He helped connect me to a salvage yard to pick the vehicle up and was kind and gracious throughout. If I lived in the area I would definitely bring him my business. read more

I have had the pleasure of taking my Jeep Patriot to Halbert's Auto Garage on three separate occasions. Each visit reaffirmed my belief in his exceptional service and expertise. My first encounter with Halbert was when my Jeep was experiencing a problem that two other franchise auto stores couldn't diagnose. Halbert, however, quickly identified the issue and rectified it with ease. His ability to troubleshoot where others had failed was truly impressive. What sets Halbert apart is his honesty. Despite my vehicle being older and having clocked many miles, he was transparent about the repairs needed and the prospects of my vehicle. He didn't try to upsell unnecessary services or take advantage of the situation, which is a refreshing change in the auto repair industry. In conclusion, Halbert's Auto Garage provides reliable, honest, and high-quality service. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of auto repairs or maintenance. I was on my way to Texas when our car broke down. It was late Friday afternoon and most mechanics were closed. We found Halbert's shop online and gave him a call. He was very helpful and even provided us with a loner car for about an hour after he closed so that we could find a rental car place. He met us back at the shop after we got our rental car. He provided a good explanation as to what the problem with the car could be and how he was going to fix it. We left our car with him while we continued on with our trip. He called on Monday and told me that the problem was fixed. He did an inspection on my car and let me know that my rear brakes needed work. He took care of that for me as well. Everything he did, he provided great service and a good price. He could have easily taken advantage of me because of the desperate situation we were in, but he did not. I found him to be a very competent and honest mechanic. I am very grateful that we broke down where we did. read more
