Don't ever go to the eye doctor located inside. Dr. Forman gave me the most unthorough eye exam I have ever received. I have struggled with vision issues and the exam itself lasted ten minutes tops. I feel like he barely looked at my eyes and barely asked about my eye history. The only thing he did was talk about himself and how good of a doctor he is. After the exam he then charged me an extra $70 for writing me a new contact prescription. I tried to contact him and his secretary why I was charged $165 for an eye exam to only get lame excuses and no actual answer. Very disappointed and would not recommend. read more

Purchased a refrigerator and spent an additional $200.00 on a worthless warranty with Asurion. While my claim for a broken ice maker was approved, there have been constant no-shows by the repair shops they contract with along with little to no communication. Would rather have the $200.00 refunded and hire my own repair company. Poor customer service. read more

Great deals, good product, lousy service. The clothing, shoes and houseware products are great (as long as it's not electronic). The return policy is buyer friendly. But the staff (old and new) is not the most helpful or most pleasant around. Believe or not, I'm not a JCPenny fan. At all. I think the last time I've ever stepped foot in one, I was about ten sporting frizzy hair and a Mickey Mouse sweatshirt. However when I heard the Warwick Mall was opening a Sephora inside, the alluring whispers of pricey make-up were calling my name. This review is actually for the mini Sephora located toward the back of customer service as I could find no official number or listing for them separate from JC & crew. The section is small but cute with most of the middle priced brands from the full sized store. Lots of Sephora brand items, Too Faced, Benefit, Bare Escentuals, Stila, Smashbox, Philosophy, Tarte, etc. Aside from a few select items (mascara and fragrances), don't expect much Dior, Yves, Clinique, Laura Mercier, Lancome and so forth. They do have a rather nice selection of Nars which is a wonderful addition. Beauty Insider? While they unfortunately don't accept yo' point cards nor dish out the freebies, you can still rack up your well deserved points by keeping the receipt and calling a handy 800 number. The sales staff are completely peachy. I've never been harassed into making a purchase nor have I been ignored. If anything, they've provided exemplary service. Yesterday, one of the busiest "mall" days this month, Charlie & I went to return a couple items. However, at the bottom of the bag was also a lipstick I had purchased, still wrapped in the red paper. At no fault of Sephora, I had totally forgotten it was left in the original bag... and unfortunately, when we returned the other items, it went right along with it. Around an hour or so later as we were leaving the mall, it suddenly hit me that the lipstick had been left in the bag. We rushed back thinking that perhaps, they may have noticed and put it aside. D'oh. It was thrown out. I fulled expected to eat the cash since it was my fault totally but surprisingly, not only did the sales woman insist on a refund, she also provided us with a bag full of samples. Wonderful! Granted they don't stock many of the items I usually purchase but I would definitely stop here anytime over trekking to Providence Place. read more

Being in a retail service myself I have a little higher standards than most. That being said I am disappointed in my visit today. I had read that a bunch of these locations are closing and love the jeans they carry so figured I'd use my gift card and get some spring clothes too. I was there for a good ninety minutes. I found the jeans I wanted after a long time. Found a few shirts I needed a different size in and was looking for someone who worked there to ask for one. I had shopped all over the store and didn't remember where I had gotten them from. Didn't find anyone to ask. I figured eventually someone would see me with a huge pile of clothes and say hello or ask if I needed help. Nope. In ninety minutes no one said hello or smiled at me. I finally went to check out and there was some kind of a problem with a coupon so the clerk called for a manager . No backup just a manager. In the meantime there's three of us in line. I went to find another register which I did in shoes. The clerk there was very nice and pleasant and was the only one who said hello to me. I walked out by the register I had previously been at and there was the same people in line. Wow. Bad service. Next time I'll order what I want online and avoid the store all together. read more

The portrait studio is a joke. The employees have no clue what they are doing. I had a scheduled appointment and they made me wait 45 minutes so a walk in could go before me. I just needed short simple business portraits. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! read more

This location really is prime. Its right in the heart of yhw statr. Easy on off access to rt 10 and 95. Exchanges are so easy and there is a check out at every door. Parking is abundant, but can fet frustrating during the holidays of course. read more

But this is the place that I shop for my kids clothing apparel. Affordable and a variety of styles to choose from. This JCP is in the Warwick Mall which makes it very convenient. I would give the portrait studio 5 stars if I could as they are EXCELLENT at dealing with the kids. I am giving 3 stars due to the fact that if you have a stroller or a wheelchair, you can't move throughout this store as the racks and center aisle make it so you can't get through without knocking something over or having to move a shelf from department to department. Case in point. I am a mother. I have my kids in for portraits. I want to take them to the kids section. I can't get to the kids section due to the center aisle displays. I can't go down into the shoe area as my stroller won't fit down the aisles. I can't shop for clothes as I can barely fit down the tight aisles and the store is a MESS with everything thrown everywhere. If you are in wheels, you can't get around. They are losing at least $100 on top of portrait sales from me alone as I can't navigate through the store in a safe manner with my kids. read more

My husband and I took our daughter to get her one year pictures taken on the 8th of February. When we first walked in the woman who was going to photograph her (Susan O.) smelled of cigarette smoke and was coughing all over the place. I was a little spectacle at first because I didn't want my daughter to catch whatever this woman had. But after thinking about it and driving almost 45 minuets to get there I decided to go ahead with the shoot and just distance my daughter from her as much as I could. The woman continued to hack and cough all over the place during my daughters shoot at which point I said "just get the last picture so we can leave please" I then proceeded to pay 112.00 dollars for 27 pictures that were average at best. Fast forward to February 11th and my daughter I has the worst cold she's ever had, to the point I'm considering taking her to the hospital. I've never been so dissatisfied or angry with someone in my whole life. Not to mention the appointment after ours was a 4 WEEK OLD BABY! If my one year old with a good immune system is sick I can only imagine the poor one month old is sick as well. Susan really needs to learn when to call out sick and how to take better pictures. DO NOT GO THRRE FOR PICTURES! You could probably take pictures that are just as good with your phone. Infuriated doesn't even begin to describe how I feel. read more

JC Penny Portraits - we were there over the weekend to get pictures done for my Granddaughter. Our photographer was a young guy named Dan. He was great! Sounded like he had just come in to check on his hours and was asked to help because they were so busy. When working with him you never felt rushed, he was very, very patient. He was great with our granddaughter, we thought he did a great job coming up with different poses and props given the back rounds that we had chosen. He was just as patient and understanding when it came to us selecting photo's, did a great job clarifying what you got in each package, the best way to buy them. I was a painless experience and I attribute it directly to him. I'd go back in a minute. Great experience, thanks Dan! read more

Review applies to JCPenny Portraits: I had just a really frustrating experience top to bottom. 1) booked a session to take photos for my family's first Christmas card. Didn't realize I'd have to create the cards on the spot by watching the photographer click through backgrounds and styles. It was very frustrating for me to watch someone scrolling and clicking and periodically asking if I liked something she happened to stop on. 2) we paid $100 (that's discounted from $150 with a coupon I had), for what turned out to be 18 digital photos. That's in addition to a $10/person sitting fee. So nearly $7 per DIGITAL photo. I had no idea we would be given so few options. 3) we ordered cards and were then told they could be picked up at the mall in two weeks. Not wanting to make a trip back with my newborn (during holiday shopping), and generally having a bad feeling about the order, I called first thing the next morning and asked to cancel the order for cards. Couldn't be done I was told. Well that's on me for allowing myself to be pressured into buying the cards. Well my husband picked the cards up gets home and instead of "Merry Christmas" on the front, they say "Happy Holidays" and instead of "love," with our names, the back of the card is blank. 4) my husband and I are not small people. They put us both on the same tiny ottoman which made us look even heavier and were just really unflattering. There was MINIMAL feedback from the photographer on our appearance and things that could have been fixed (hair falling out of place, double chins, etc) were photographed. So our measly 18 photos had only a few nice shots, none with the whole family. Bottom line: even though we had coupons which gave us pretty discounted pricing, we paid WAY too much for what was delivered and our order was completed incorrectly. If I could give the portrait studio negative stars I would and here is why. I had my daughter's pictures taken today at one of your studios. Never again. I had an appointment for noon and was not sat until a full hour later at 1 pm. The photographer had no intention of using any of the studio's props. I had to suggest using the 3 props that were used. Multiple shots were missed because the system didn't "fire". I was sorely disappointed to find that instead of getting a CD of all the shots, I would only be purchasing the images via a Web link. Even then those images were not everything that was put together. I was informed that any collage images were no longer included in that $100 purchase. Because they were no longer included, I war not interested in choosing them, but your sales person proceeded to build them anyway. When I asked if we could just be done so I could pay and go feed my daughter, your sales person elected to finish the collage building. I was offered 3 free sheets for my inconvenience, but $10 worth of product doesn't even come close to making up for the fact that I had to do part of your photographer's job after waiting an hour and then finding out that you've cut to digital package but still charge the same price. I'm beyond disappointed and in the future, I plan to make the 2 hour each way trip to Portrait Innovations in lieu of dealing with a mess like today. Also, rest assured that something similar to this message will be posted on any review site that I can find, because everyone needs to know that JC Penney Portrait Studio doesn't provide the quality that they claim to. read more
