I've always recieved great customer service from here. From walking in , to exam and purchase . You can even sign up for a JCpenney credit card and use that for optical purchases and in store shopping. The reason I came today was for my prescription sunglsses. Somehow the screw fell out and I was not able to wear them . I searched and searched and was just not winnng that battle . Called in and spoke to Emily who directed me to come in when Archie the manager comes in . You can imagine I was worried about paying a fee for repair or having to buy a new pair . I did neither . Archie fixed them by adding in a new screw and I saved $$$ . I'm so happy that I got that taken care of because a few hours outside without sunglasses is torture! Hahaha read more

This is the first time we have used JC Penney Optical, and I would say, "it was the best experience'! Sydney was such a joy to work with and her patience with us on deciding eye wear was so helpful as we spent a lot of time trying to decide on what was the best fit and look for my wife and me. WE actually changed our mind after purchasing the 4 pairs and each one of us switched out one pair of glasses and Sydney worked with us with a smile! After spending enough time there and getting to know Sydney we later found out we shared the same last name, but no relationship! lol the doctor was also very nice, and he was very thorough in the examination room. He answered all the questions I had and even went into more detail than expected. I am very satisfied in our experience with JC Penney optical and have shared our experience with family and friends to come here for their optical needs. Thank you, JC Penney - Optical, job well done! The Jimenez's read more

I can hardly believe the price I paid yesterday for two pairs of eyeglasses, progressive bifocals no less! One of the pairs was even Polaroid sunglasses! Great prices, especially when they have two for one sales! The eye exam is given by an optician that is so pleasant. She makes the experience pleasant. Archie, the manager, is the best. Archie and his technicians will leave you with glasses that you will be totally pleased with. When you think about it getting glasses is so important and personal. After all, glasses are something you wear on your face daily. They allow you to see the world. And the style you wear defines you. It doesn't get more intimate than that! I wouldn't go anywhere else to get my glasses. Archie and his staff are the best! Don't be fooled that their office is in JC Penny. Their business is top noch! read more

Ana and Dr. Han are one of the hardest working duo I've come across with. Not only do they provide service that is beyond what you get nowadays but they also exude sincerity. Always armed with a smile and and a pleasant disposition no matter how busy they are. I was immediately won over. Good service oriented folks are hard to find. Exceptional ones are like a needle in a haystack. This is one of them. read more

Had an appointment on 11.26 ordered glasses as well as sunglasses. Archie's is amazing.. always so helpful.. Received an email stating my glasses were in. No calls.. when I went to pick them up, found out that my sunglasses were the ONLY thing ready and that I would receive a call AS SOON AS my glasses came in. I called multiple time on 12.20 to check since it's been a month & had to leave a message. I call on 12.23, spoke to ANA.. which I must say was extremely run.. did not let me finish my sentences.. she cut me off a few times!! So when I asked when they received my glasses I was told the 10th. So they have been sitting there almost 2 weeks and NO EMAIL OR PHONE CALL read more

It had been way too long since the last time I came in for a visit, but I was in the JCPenney and heard an announcement over the speaker about the optical so I went in... Ana and her team were so helpful in getting a new prescription for contacts and these stylish new European glasses too! The doctor is always such a sweetheart too. Absolutely loved the service, would recommend anyone to come in. read more

I have been going to JCPenney Optical for about 8 years now the doctor, Dr. Sunny Han is wonderful and she actually wants to help you to see well, she actually cares about you, and she does refer out to specialists to help you if you have an eye condition. I have been buying glasses at JCPenney Optical just as long as I have been going to Dr. Sunny Han. I have had some issues with glasses, but they always remedy the issue I have never had any problems with the service. I always look forward to seeing Archie who is very professional and pleasant to work with. I feel I get good deal on glasses due to the customer service and personal care I received over the years. So far they are very competitive with pricing, and what I like is there's no hassle. My new prescription that I recently ordered took one week which is faster than going to Costco. read more

It pains me to give them even one star. But I had no choice. They do NOT know how to interpret insurance benefits. I called and asked if they accepted my insurance. They said yes. Actually, they DON'T. I've waited 18 days now for a contact lenses prescription. 18 DAYS! I feel like a hostage! I will never return to JCPenney Optical. Never! Buyer BEWARE! read more

I went into this location for an eye exam and to purchase new contacts. Loved that the place felt very clean the workers had gloves and mask. Anna was super welcoming, she asked me what I was in for and got me prepped right away. The doctor (sunny) was super sweet, gentle and made sure I was comfortable throughout my exam. After I was done Anna helped me get contacts at a great price!! she also let me know about sales and promotions that were going on for contacts and recommend me to get glasses to help out with letting my eyes breathe. I've been coming to Dr. Sunny for many years now. She's an amazing human being, very passionate about her job, very compassionate about her patients. Words can't explain how special she is for me. Every time we come with my oldest son for our check, she's been attentive to our needs. Her staff are amazing as well, starting with Archie that is no longer there. Great service!! Archie really knows his stuff. He was able to find my secondary benefits. So happy he did because he had to help insurance agent and show them exactly where they could find my benefits so that they could give authorization. Paid $26 for one year supply of contacts instead of $200 retail. Thanks Archie!! read more

I recently lost my most recent pair of eyeglasses so I called JC Penny Optical to see if I could order a new pair without having to come in. I spoke to Archie, who provided excellent service. Since they have my prescription on file he was able to do everything over the phone and even advised me that my glasses were still under warranty so the new pair would cost less than 100 dollars, instead of the four hundred they originally cost, and he would have them for me in ten days. I was overjoyed. I will definitely remain a loyal customer. read more

I have my prescription and tried to get my glasses from there. But the selection of their glasses are mostly tight and expensive(compared to Sears optical). Eventually, I did not get any glasses from there. I would not recommend anyone to go there. read more

Got a super deal on glasses and sunglasses last fall. The service was great and I was happy. Fast forward to last week when I fell asleep and woke up with a broken frame. I called Archie and he immediately put me at ease. He told me that I was covered for replacement and walked me through the process. I had moved to another state and was afraid I would have to buy new glasses until Archie calmed me down. I would like to thank him for everything. His honesty (those glasses are not right for you), his integrity, and his calm demeanor are what makes my sister and I repeat customers. read more

Does anyone even work at this location? They do NOT answer the phone at all They do NOT even have staff on hand as I witnessed myself a sign placed infront of the store saying someone would be back in an hour and guess what, in an hour was the time they closed at! What a joke this location is, don't waste your time here. read more

My wife and I purchased prescription eye glasses from the JCP Optical. My glasses had a white dot in the middle of each glass and would disappear when I blocked the light with my hands. My wifes glasses are a lot worse. When she is driving at night several white spots appear. My wife thought it was her eyes and got nervous so she went to a Kaiser Optometrist and he said it wasn't her eyes and the glasses were defected. She took the glasses back to the manager at JCP West Covina Fashion Plaza. The manager told my wife the cause was the transition application to the glasses and could have them fixed for $110 but would fix the glasses at his cost $35. My wife told the manager that it was't her fault that the glasses were defected so why should she have to pay extra money to get them fixed. My wife came home very upset with the two pair of glasses she bought. One pair were not the pair she ordered and the other had the white spots. The manager would not make this right so we are out $195. Do not buy your glasses there. We do most of our Christmas shopping at JCP but not anymore. I am pissssst !!! read more

Talk to Archie. A great manager in any setting, but as your go to glasses guy, he's a gem. Always helpful, a family guy, he knows how our boys are not so carefull with their glasses. Patient and understanding, he finds a way to get us the best deals possible. In the past 4 years, we have opted to not use our insurance at Lens Crafters because JC Penney Optical simply offers us the best deal. Great guy, great deals. Find out for yourself, you won't be dissapointed. read more

Great customer service. I have ordered glasses from here for two years for three members of my family. Each time we come here we are treated well and the optician is very thorough with her examination. Everyone has a pleasant personality and they have good followup. read more

I drove 35 miles to this location that is the nearest J.C. Penny Optical Center for my glasses. It was 7 minutes before closing at this optical center. All I needed to drop off my prescription for glasses. The Hispanic female employee was at the optical desk, but she refused to service me staring at me with a hostile tone, "We are closed." I told her there was still 7 minutes before closing, but she shouted at me to leave. I called the J.C. Penny manager; his name is Mark, a Hispanic man who is just as hostile as the Hispanic female at the optical desk. Do I need spend my money to support the hostile business? There is no point to speak to a violent Mark who refused to listen, bullied me, and then threatened me to leave, or he would call the security to harass me. What a horrific experience shopping at J.C. Penny. I strongly not recommend J.C. Penny to anyone! read more

We have been ordering glasses here for years. Prices are always good, but you cannot beat the price when they have the 2 for $99 sale! Archie is the absolute best. He is extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and always super helpful. Anna is very good also. read more

This was a horrible experience. The lady told me that it was going to 2 weeks, probably less & that I had a very mild prescription. I waited much longer than 3 weeks & when I got there to pick up my glasses the girl at the desk literally handed me my glass in the case not checking if they were the right ones. She didn't even see if they fit good. I wouldn't recommend any one go here! read more
