Nice dress women's designer display first walk in, I fell eye candy over red dress and yes fast staff came up and asked me if I needed help, the man smiled as he looked at me and was ready to help me as I did say yes bc I had questions about phone coupons and he explained all I needed and stayed with me through all I wanted to see and the location of the store for my wants . I got to shop with ease and safety was able to check out with a lady who was friendly and smiled and explained to me all my concerns and questions I had . Was pleased with all ! Present for my wife for Christmas. Order was placed online. Online store Claimed there was 2 available. I get to the store and the order was not ready(which I understand takes 2 hours or more). I ask if I can buy the other one available and pay for it since I live an hour way from the location(please consider it was raining today w/ traffic). The guy at the counter says, "sure that's fine". So I go in search of what I'm looking for. After 10 mins I never found it. I go back to wait in line again. I tell the guy at the register that there was two available. I refresh my page and now it says "1 available". So he steps out back to check on it. Another 5 mins go by. I'm finally told: "my manager couldn't find the product in the back either. We have had positive experiences coming to this location as they have been taking COVID safety measures seriously and consistently since the beginning of the pandemic. You will notice a one way in and one way out set up as you walk up to the entrance with clear signage on the doors of wearing your mask and following procedures the store has set up. It is nice that there is a Sephora set up in this location as well as it allows me to grab makeup items as well as a new outfit when the occasion comes up for me to shop. All employees are super nice, friendly, and helpful here. They are all masked up and ready to assist you if you need any help. Lots of sales here as I love shopping their sales rack. Came in with my family, and I was very impressed at how Penney's has maintained their quality and reasonable prices over the years. Seems like they're getting more trendy! Kudos. Big rat ran across the floor while the associate was answering a question for me. She seemed startled but not surprised. On the other hand, I wasn't about to stay in the store, so I thanked her (from about 20 feet away after running!) and did not get a chance to finish shopping because I headed to my car! The employee was nice though. However, a comfortable shopping experience and big rats just don't go together. It was big...like put-a-saddle-on-it kind of big LOL! I guess at some point those of us who are not obese will need to return to sewing our own clothes. Fortunately, for now I can still drive to the north side of town and find clothes in smaller sizes--but at Southpark Meadows? Forget it. It's possible they have smaller sizes here in skimpy, revealing "juniors" clothes but I'm in my 50s so that's not going to work. Please order some smaller sizes in womens clothes! Let me start by saying Wonderful Online shopping and Thank you to the people in Store when I picked up. I had No problem online shopping and getting free in store pick up same day. It's wonderful to have that option. My biggest complaint was the condition of my items!! The box was tore up and this is supposed to be a gift for Christmas to my mother. The Boots I got, had pieces of the box and other lint and dust on them. Please CHECK YOUR ITEMS before leaving the store. I did not think to check in store since i had a feeling of being rushed due to how over crowded the store was. The box is in HORRIBLE condition and I'm a little ashamed to give this as a gift. You could provide a more decent box next time JC Penney's I'm sorry but I will never go back to this location ever. It had been so long since I'd see a JCPenney store in a single-story architecture, I almost forgot what that could be like to shop one. That's one of the beauties of this store. Without the two-story stack, it is a delight to shop. You no longer have to remember "Now, is menswear upstairs or downstairs?"--or be surprised when they suddenly move it to another floor. So why get malled when you can park right outside the front door, get your stash, and tote it to your car, all within 15 minutes? I particularly like the fact that this store is in the less busy section of Southpark Meadows next to Target. Easy in, easy out, FTW! read more

Worst salon experience ever. My daughter and I went for updo for a wedding. We paid between $65-75 a piece for a "master stylist" only to have the hair fall out before we left the store! Our stylist seemed rushed and not in the beat of moods. I specifically asked when making my appointment if I needed to arrive with clean and dry hair and she said it didn't matter. They could even shampoo my hair if needed as it was included in the price. I showed up with damp hair and the stylist was unhappy about that and said she doesn't usually blow dry hair, for future reference. Then she kept running to the back, where I assume she had another client. If this is the service you get from a master stylist at this high rate, I will stick to Supercuts. read more

I will never go to another JC Penny Salon. My hair was just past my shoulders, I brought a picture, I said I don't want much length taken out, really I just needed some chunky layers. End result, I have a chin length bob with mullet in the back. I was almost too stunned to say anything to the stylist, who was fairly proud of herself. I ended up calling to talk to the manager when I got home, who wasn't in. She did actually return my call. She didn't however offer any type of apology for my experience, only asked when I could come back. I won't be going back, I will drive to San Antonio to go with a known stylist before I will step foot in another JC Penny salon. I wasn't expecting the world here, $40 for a haircut isn't a lot for today's standards, but I'd of done a little better with Super Cuts, or my mom... Hair will grow back, that's not the end of the world. It's the response from management that was more off-putting. If this is any indication of why this brand is going under. Too bad. read more

I am always successful in the plus size department when looking for professional clothes for work or casual clothes or jeans. There is usually always some sort of sale going on too. This is for the Sephora inside of JC Pennys, in the South Park Meadows Shopping Center. There is a young woman name Connie who is extremely rude. She calls her customers darling, baby and honey. RUDE. I went in Oct 16th and spent $162. and change, Returned and spent $297. and change. Asked this young woman for samples and she said that they didn't give them. I also over heard her telling the customer in front of me the same thing!!!!! I have been in there in the evening and I have heard her say to the other sales girl that her Connie and the other male that work there need to go to the back to unload boxes. When the store is busy. I will not return to the Sephora and will tell all my family and friends about the rudeness of this young woman. There is something very fishy about her. Keep your eyes on her Sephora. This was my first time coming here, and we had a wonderful experience! I walked in with my 4 year old daughter and immediately we were greeted. He was very interactive with my daughter, showing her the cool skirt with the sequins (she loves shiny things). When we left the store, I found out the man who greeted us was the general manager after all. I went to find some pants for my daughter. We were checked on by an associate, asking if we were finding everything okay (as I was looking at the pants). I go here all the time, or I used to. Today I walked straight in to grab the glam glow mask bc my skin has been breaking out. I walked up to the front to grab it. Didn't see any, so I just started looking at the makeup and swatching all the new fall collections. The sweet blonde girl asked if I needed helped and she ended up finding the mask for me somewhere. Then I go to check out. Mind u I had my daughter with me and she likes to smell the perfumes and ask me which ones I like. I secondly thought, oh shoot did my daughter stick something in her stroller. Then this other girl comes around the corner and all loud is like THE JEWELRY, AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR STROLLER *she says as she demonically giggles*. Check the clothing for tags before you leave the store, apparently its the responsibility of the customer and not the cashier? I recently visited JC Penney in Southpark Meadows and I am now a big fan! I usually buy my clothing at Chico's, Talbots, and Coldwater Creek, and Coach. I found some of the cutest clothing and purses here at much more reasonable prices. I will be coming back. i changed my mind on one of the blouses I purchased, so I took it back without any hassel. While I was back at the customer service center I realized they have a salon, a portrait studio, and a great selection of drapery. As I headed back toward the front of the store, I noticed the rugs and found the perfect one for our living room - great quality, beautiful colors, and best was the price. A 5' x 8' for under $200!! I would never find this gorgeous rug at Pottery Barn or W-S for this price. It just so happens they also carry the lamp we found at Pier 1, but did not want to pay $179 for, so I picked it up for $80!! On top of all of this, the customer service is outstanding. Friendly, helpful employees. In particular, I would like to point out that a gentleman named Eli was very quick to help me with my rug and lamp after assisting another customer. I thought he was going to help me carry my things to the register, but he helped me all the way to my car. I am a national sales manager and I know that customer service is huge, it just makes all the difference. I was so surprised at the level of customer service at this JC Penney that I am thrilled to tell everyone who will listen to me. Access to the store is so easy in this strip mall, ample parking, clean store. My only complaint was the dressing room. There was no attendant and the clothes were piling up a bit. read more

The two stars are only for the fact that they remove/replace links in watches with no charge. Other than that I try to avoid this place like the plague. The lines are always super long and they normally only have a few cashiers available to checkout. This is part of the reason JCP is a sinking ship... My complaint comes from the Sephora that was just opened in this location a few months ago. I went to purchase an exfoliating facial cleanser and received a snooty attitude from one of the cashiers. It was the weekend before Christmas, so I'm going to give her a pass on that one because maybe she was having a bad day. My card wasn't working in their system for whatever reason (I'd literally just used it at Walmart and used it after I left there, so it had to be their system) and the cashier took it upon herself to loudly announce, "It's not OUR system, it's HER card." No worries, Ulta is right next door and they offer the same products, so they won't have to worry about me returning. Hell, even Amazon has better prices and customer service than I experienced there. I definitely won't be returning... read more

I was there last night at the salon. I had an appointment with someone who didn't seem to pleased that I was running late (I had indicated when I made the appointment that this might be the case). She seemed annoyed ... she had someone already in her chair who she asked to move ... when I was seated. We spoke a little and I indicated that I needed help selecting a style/cut. She was rather short with me and NOT very helpful at all. I told her that this was not going to work and asked to see another stylist. SOOOO glad I did. I worked with Patti and she was great. She helped me find a style and cut that worked for me and didn't seem to mind that I needed help. She was patient and caring. I highly recommend Patti to anyone looking for a stylist. I'm sure that if she does half the work she did with me, you will be satisfied. I have my next appointment set with her-- something I never do -- as I don't commit very easily. However, I know that I'll be in skilled, caring hands. read more

I'm not too impressed. Four pack of hanes boxer briefs was 25$, at Target same is 18.99. Checkout clerk answered the phone twice, making me wait while checking out. When she apologized I said she shouldn't have to run the register and answer calls and maybe Penney's would figure out customer service after the "no sales or coupons " thing. She said no, they're "getting rid of customer service and everyone in back and moving it all up here". Maybe they're cutting customer service to make up what they are losing from no one paying "regular" price any more. At any rate, high prices and worse service isn't a good combination. read more

You call in to make an appointment for a basic haircut and then you get just that BUT they decide to tell you it's more expensive when paying because you had it cut by a "senior" employee which they failed to tell you about on the phone. Always short staffed, and the employees are never even that friendly! Had an appointment and ended up waiting almost an hour later due to them running behind. Personally I'd find a different salon because this one is nothing but chaotic and unenjoyable. read more
