Take this review with a grain of salt. I'm from CA where we have so many different types of Beauty Supply stores with different hair products, braid hair, etc. So here's my review: 1. This beauty supply is medium size, with lots of different wig selections, if that's what you're looking for. 2. This place has so many different types of hair products and hair for braids, crochet, and wigs. 3. The products are moderately priced. There are both organic and non-organic products here. 4. Customer Service: both people working were excited to help me look for my specific product(s) without hovering over me like other beauty supply stores. I am new to Austin and thought I would try this place out since I am unfamiliar with the hair supply stores around here. The moment I walked in I knew what I needed so I went to the counter up front to ask for the exact hair I wanted. The man was not eager to help me and acted like he didn't understand English as I asked him questions like "how would you describe the quality of this hair?" And "do you have 20'' in stock?" -- didn't think that would be overwhelming. After he showed me a bundle I was seeking... I asked for another associates opinion on the hair -- again, I was hesitant to buy because I wanted to ensure the quality was to my level of expectations. They both "agreed" that the bundle of hair was good and so I proceeded to buy it. I wasn't IN LOVE with the customer service as a first time customer, but I moved on with my day. The next day when I opened my box of hair ready to use it, the sewing was messed up and the ends of the hair felt damaged. The hair was also not consistent in length. So.... I called the store to explain what happened and that I would like to exchange it for another bundle (still open to buy from the store again). And to my surprise I was told a direct no because I opened the box (how else was I suppose to know that the quality was opposite than how it was sold to me). It had been only 24 hours since I purchased the hair and it was their product that was 100% in poor condition. It took me 2 seconds to realize the hair wasn't good and I put it right back in the box. I never used it, damaged it, or did anything with the hair... and still, I was told that I couldn't take it back. Now I wish I would've never spent my money on a store that couldn't be gracious. If they would've been kind and opened the box in their store to really go the extra mile and show me their product... I would've never been inconvenienced. Needless to say, the hair stores back in Dallas show better quality hair and better customer service. I have always been a loyal customer with whom I purchase my hair at. And I would like for the next person to take this post into consideration when spending money at a place like this. I'm sure there's better spots in Austin Let this place be your last resort. read more

I am very frustrated with this place. I went in a week ago and purchased straight clip in extensions, I was told they would curl. After attempting to curl them, I realized they wouldn't curl at all. I called and asked if they could do an exchange and pay the difference with curly clip extensions. Apparently the curly clip in extensions I was shown last week are no longer there and never have been. Now I am out $130 for clip in extensions that I can't use since they don't curl. I attempted to relay this information to the owners but considering the language barrier they were not able to communicate. The lady they put me on the phone with (Mandy) was also no help and was very rude. If you're looking for extensions and unsure as to what you're buying I suggest looking it up online and not asking for help from anyone there, since they aren't much help at all. read more

I've been shopping here since I was 12 Years old and I am now 34 Years old and I still shop there all the time in fact I spend more money there than I do any other store in Austin, Texas. I love the variety, the staff has always been very nice and very helpful. Sometimes I think, 'they have got to be sick of me.' Anytime I feel down I come here and shop and find my adhesive lashes ways on point, an awesome new look color and style wig or extensions to go with my outfit. I also get my jewelry and piercings here. They always have the best nose rings. I love the sun glasses. They also have many great hair products and make up. My wife loves this store because they have a plethora of options, colors and styles for her hair. They also have a nice variety of earrings and thick white tee's. They aren't Pro Club brand t-shirts but they are close enough. Small store but a ton of different things to buy. read more

The guy (that I believe is the owner) is extremely rude. I was waiting on him to ring me up and he just looked pasted me and rang up someone else. I said "I was standing here waiting" and out of no where he starts yelling at me in front of everyone in the store saying "I didn't ignore you!, I didn't ignore you!!" First of all, no one said he ignored me, I just simply said I had been waiting. Therefore evidently he must have felt that he did ignore me especially since he had to scream it at me. I consider this place to be a wig and hair outlet. Meaning you won't get as personalized service as going to a custom wigmaker, but you'll generally pay less. If you're looking to have some fun with wigs, play dressup, or are costuming, try Lucy In Disguise or Coco Coquette, both have great customer service when it comes to creating a 'look'. That said, Quarter to Ten WILL help you match colors, and they will make suggestions. You can try on wigs, but they require you purchase a cap for 50c. They will also custom order colors for you, but there is a slight language barrier if you're working with the owners, and the whole process can be streamlined if you figure out your color preference ahead of time online (universal wig color chart). Overall great value on wigs and that's what counts. read more

I used to buy 18" clip-on extensions there but now I don't wear extensions anymore. I would say I bought about 4 packs. I bought 3 18" blonde packs and 1 18" brunette pack. The lady who worked there was very helpful in matching my hair color to the extensions. They extensions where fairly good quality and would last about 4-6 months. I hate to see negative reviews on this business. I'm African American and I've frequented my share of beauty supply stores where I walk in and I can tell they think I'm stealing or either don't want to assist me in finding what I need. When I walked in my first day here a few weeks back the owner approached me and asked if I needed help finding anything once I said "no" because I only planned to get lashes he left me alone. I looked around I didn't see anyone shadowing me or giving me looks, when I approached the wig section the girl behind the desk helped me try on wigs gave her best opinions and was pretty pleasant. I ended up spending $100+ more than I planned to spend because I just needed lashes but they made me feel comfortable. Even when ringing me out he advised me about a piece of jewelry I was getting and told me read the instructions good thing because it saved me from discoloring the piece. In conclusion I think this couple is sweet and just wants to run their business they do the best with all the traffic coming in with the one employee they have. read more

It's just okay. Their hair prices keep changing. One month I purchased hair returned about one month later to purchase the same product, and it cost 50% more than before. Also, they have samples of hair in certain colors, and when you ask for the exact hair color as on the display they Do Not have it, and can not order it as shown. I believe that if the store can not give you what they advertise or have on display that they should not display it-it is not right and frustrating for the customer. Then they try to sell you what they have instead of what you really wanted that they did not have. I won't shop there any more. read more

Despite the 3 wig try-on rule (the owner is strict), the lady at the wig counter is AWESOME! My mother and I each bought 3 fabulous wigs and had a wonderful time trying new looks! Forget ulta and Sally's this is a south Austin gem!! My cousin raved about it so I went and wow make up heaven. Came in here to get some hair extension. The Korean lady greet me nicely and help me check out their collections. I went with indie Remi as she recommend it is the best line. They have quite a good brands collection but a little limited on their color choices. The lady was not trying to sell me her products at all which I love. Because I wanted extensions that's longer than my hair which is around 16" so I need 18" but she showed me that their 16" is just as long as 18" and cost less! I decided to go with 16" Remi hair and was happy with my decision. The hair is in great quality, sealed box and does not shed at all. I'm over all very satisfy and will come back for more when those goes bad which in my experience they last up to half a year or longer depends on how often you wear them and take good care of it. They also have some jewelry and makeup and hair products which I did not check out because my main mission is to get some hair extension. read more

Worst hair store ever! Apparently my brown skin does not afford me the due respect you would give a person that has patronized your store for years. Over looking the rude, accusing and down right in humane treatment given by all owners and staff members every time I go into this establishment is something I can no longer do. I experienced probably the worst treatment ever, when going in to purchase hair. The 30 seconds it took to look at the hair before asking questions sent wife/owner into a crazed rage (screaming at me) and taking away the product. She started helping another customer while I was standing there in shock, I asked if I could please look at the hair to make a decision...This was a no go, as this clear racist continued to spit hate at me. Deciding not to allow this moment to define me or shape the rest of my day, I politely asked one more time. To which she said no, and started yelling again. By this time my self respect would not allow me to endure anymore abuse. I decided to put all items down and promptly walked out the store. When I turned around not only did the people that the owner very kindly started helping after me also walk out behind me, and asked where else they could go. I, like many others, are customers of these types of stores out of convenience. I do not understand how this place has one star let alone 4.5. I had no idea this place existed in my five years of living in South Austin. I always traveled to Big Joy or Supreme as those were the only ones I knew about. The selection at this place is amazing! Everything is nice, neat, and is easy to find. They have enough natural and artificial lighting to be able to actually match your hair color. Everyone was so nice and helpful.
