We purchased a dishwasher through the Ferguson Home showroom in Rancho Mirage. The initial sales…read moreexperience with Gayle was fine. Where things fell apart was after the sale. When I had follow-up questions regarding delivery timing, I left Gayle a voicemail that was never returned. Someone else from Ferguson did eventually call to schedule delivery, which was appreciated. However, the installer Gayle recommended also failed to return calls. When I reached back out to Gayle to ask for an alternate installer recommendation, I again received no response. I don't understand how this level of follow-through is acceptable in a sales role, especially after the purchase has been made. If you're comfortable chasing down answers on your own, you may be fine -- but don't expect proactive or even basic post-sale communication.

The Michaels are an outstanding resource for creative design assistance, furniture, fabrics, window…read moretreatments, carpets, accessories, etc. And they are great guys too. Our relationship began with the purchase of floor samples (sofa and chairs) for a mid-century modern home we had just purchased and for which we were poised to start an extensive update. We also had no furniture for the house. Michael T. personally managed the delivery and vulunteered to help us with paint color selection. We made a great decision with his assistance. The assistance morphed into retaining the Michaels to work with us on the floor plan and acquisition of furniture, carpets, motorized blinds, etc. for living, dining and TV rooms. They stayed within our budget, were respectful of our wishes and needs, color and fabric preferences and we are thrilled with the end result. The outcome is very consistent with our mid-century modern home without being excessive and provides for comfortable daily living too. We ended up with exactly what we wanted: a great neutral palette, with different textures and fabrics, that really made our extensive art work pop. One of the Michaels' strengths is access to vendors who will semi-custom make furniture and who will work with the customer's own fabric. The result is one-of-a-kind pieces at furniture store prices. This how they gets a Big Bang from a customer's budget dollars. We continue to use the Michaels. Just recently we had them make custom lamp shades for two vintage lamps. The result with their design input: fantastic. There's no doubt that our personal and professional relationships will continue.
