I have nothing but the highest words of praise for the entire crew. Angel, is just that, an angel. We had them do a bathroom remodel. It turned out to be just beautiful. Angel is a great listener and helps pull together a great looking project. She always listens to what your preferences are and brings together samples accordingly. The guys are thoughtful and respectful of keeping the construction debris and dust to a minimum. They cleaned up after themselves every afternoon when they left. The craftsmanship of everyone of them from the tile setters to the painters is outstanding. I would definitely recommend them and call them again if we do another project. read more

DO NOT USE! They lie to you and try to rip you off. Angel came to my house and I walked her through the job and all the details that I wanted. She didn't write anything down but sent a bid based on our discussion. Then two months later Distinctive sent me a bill for all these things they say were 'change orders' that I mentioned at the beginning, but they didn't have in any notes (because she didn't take any). I just completed a remodel on another house (with another crew) so I knew to mention all the details that I knew would add cost, as I wanted an accurate bid. It felt like a real bait & switch to have a bid come from a discussion that doesn't include the details and then be told I never asked for these things. To add further frustration, the relationship between Distinctive & Vincere is broken, Vincere had the costs of some of the items in their bid, but Distinctive was missing their related costs. It's so frustrating to be caught in the middle of their terrible business processes. For example, a wall had to be removed, Vincere had the wall removal in the bid, but Distinctive didn't have the corresponding repair cost (floor repair where the wall was) in their bid and tried to charge me later for it, by saying it was a change order. On top of this all, the quality of the work that Distinctive and Vincere do is severely lacking and I found constant issues throughout the process. Both Angel & Anthony act like they are on top of their crews, but I ended up being the foreman for this job and repeatedly had to stop the crew to have them do the work the correct way. For example, I stopped the shower tiler who was tiling the shower walls but never cut a hole in the hardiebacker for the shower head to come out. I'm not a professional remodeler, I'm just a homeowner, but these are basic and obvious problems if anyone bothers to look and think. So many steps had to be done 2-3 times to get it done right. And still, there are compromises that I'm living with, like a flooding bathroom floor because their crew doesn't know how to properly grade a shower floor. It would have been another week or two to have Distinctive grind down the cement floor to fix the issue they caused by over-pouring the cement. They also installed poorly-finished (see pics) and broken countertop marble, because their subcontractor and Angel can't follow the finishing details that were requested. All of this rework doubled the time they were supposed to be in the house and makes for shoddy-looking work, that will devalue the house when I go to resell it later and need to disclose all these issues. read more

My wife and I decided on major renovations to our home so we called our trusted contractors Distinctive Flooring and Vincere Industries to once again tackle the project. Angel and Anthony lead a great team to take on new flooring throughout our home, take down a wall and elevate a section of ceiling with the duct vent, gut our guest bathroom to finish it similarly to how they did our master bathroom a couple years ago, and give our home a fresh coat of interior paint. Needless to say they killed it! The craftsmanship was exceptional, and the project came in on-budget and on-time. I am extremely happy with Distinctive Flooring! I had a somewhat unusual job. My project was floor covering for STAIRS in my condo. I had already installed LVP (luxury vinyl plank) by a company recommended by the big box store where I purchased the material. Apparently they couldn't/wouldn't install on the STAIRS due to no warranty of this product on stairs. So I had to find someone that would. In addition to wanting LVP on treads, I wanted Mexican tiles installed on the risers. Distinctive Flooring said they could do that. They sent a wonderful man who did the install exactly as I wanted!! The tiles weren't big enough to fill the riser so we came up with adding an additional piece of black tile above. Turned out this "fix" turned into a fabulous design feature. Not happy at all. Best advise: Skip them and move onto a better company. They took too long to install and installed improperly. The owner was not willing to admit that his contractors did a horrible job. Within a month the flooring was splitting. They would not admit it was their fault, nor would they fix it. These guys do what they say. I had to arrange a complicated work schedule because of work travel. Whatever I threw at them in terms of when I needed them, they were there. The install was fantastic, on time and as quoted. I loved them so much that I've already had them back to work on another project.
