We are absolutely in love with our new cabinets! Our original cabinets were circa 2002 with a dark staining done about 7 years ago. The dark stain was wearing off in spots and they were just starting to bug me in general. Rich came out right away to take measurements and discuss their product and options. He answered all my questions and had the estimate to me the next day. Originally was given a start date of 3-4 weeks out but then they asked if they could start early due to delays in other projects not being ready for them. Jesse did the refacing work at the house. He was amazingly conscientious masking off the kitchen and laying down floor protectors. The actual work took 5 days between the kitchen and master bath. We got multiple quotes to re-face our 1961 kitchen cabinets. Precision works wasn't the cheapest, or the most expensive, but they certainly were the most professional! They had a dedicated sales guy, Richard, who came by. He was prompt and got us a written quote within a few days. After comparing with other cabinet re-facers, we went with Precision Works, and we are glad we did. The owner, Pierre came by to measure, and measure he did, right down to the 1/32 of an inch. Very precise! He told us what cabinet refacing could and could not do. Within a few days he contacted us with a start date. His crew, just one craftsman/carpenter, Angel, postponed at the last minute, but did show up the next day, Tuesday, and was finished by Friday afternoon the same week. 4 days. We are very happy with the result...our kitchen looks modern and new. We paid 1/2 up front and 1/2 after work was done. Due to Precision Works bookkeeper's error we were mistakenly treated like we were trying to dodge the final payment, (invoice was sent to an incorrect email), but all was worked out in the end. We did a kitchen remodel and opted for cabinet refacing because it was more affordable. Still, we were surprised about getting several quotes on the high side including from Home Depot - but Precision was a better price. We felt confident that they can provide these better prices without sacrificing the quality because they are the source of the cabinet doors: they manufacture them here in the valley. We went to the place to pick our door style, many to choose from. The refacing was very well done. Our installer Jesus was top notch, careful with our new appliances, paying attention to detail, and coordinating with the granite contractors who were supplying the countertop, making sure the board under the granite would be covered with the new face as well. The result is superb. We have a new kitchen. I would definitely recommend this company. read more

Made an appointment for a consult. He left me a voicemail to reschedule. I moved some other appointments around to reschedule him for the same day at a different time. Then he called 40 minutes before our appointment to reschedule again. This made me feel like I wasn't worth his business or time. When I told him I would seek other companies because it seemed as though he didn't have time for me he said, "Yeah you're probably right." Let me not bury the lede: We love the wall unit! My wife and I purchased a home which had an interesting 'nook' in the family room, perfect for a wall unit. It's a large space and really the focal point of the family room. Rich came by, sent us an estimate and... well I nearly had a heart attack. But we wanted to do the work and we liked the plan he prepared so I grudgingly said, "Yes." Today, I better understand why Rich charges what he charges. This was a much more complex job than I anticipated. The unit was fabricated at the plant then brought to our home as sub-assemblies. Our vacation property underwent a quick (we were on a time line ) transformation this summer thanks to Rich Wilson ( professional, ethical and honest), owner Pierre ( all business and honest about products), and crew ( Angel, Jesus, Amador, Cynthia and Dave). From day one, the crew protected our appliances, floors and carpets with daily vacuuming and cleaning. Even put cardboard under their trucks to prevent oil dripping in the driveway. OK, can you say .. they pay attention to details! Both Rich ( who was eventually on vacation), and Pierre were always available by email or text. Rich came to my property yesterday to provide a quote for new kitchen cabinets. We discussed the pricing being "all in" as part of the service. The quote came through but excluded handles & the moving / reinstallation of the existing worktop. I called yesterday to discuss this then emailed outlining the items and explaining the timeframe I needed them to complete the project within. I explained I was happy to pay the full price on the quote but it would need to include everything. This morning I had the response "Good luck with your project." I had a terrible experience with my contractor and had to dismiss him after a full month working on a project "guaranteed" to be done in two-weeks. At the point that I fired Vincere Construction the cabinet portion of the project was still a full month away from installation. I called Rich at Precision and he arrived the next day. He provided drawings and a quote within 24 hours (20 percent larger cabinet and $2,000.00+ cheaper than the contractor's price). Then, amazingly, they installed the perfect cabinets six days later! The cabinets were custom made to house my many kitchen appliances, which fit perfectly into the cabinet with leftover space to house my sauté and frying pans along with all of my huge selection of baking dishes and pans (about 40 in all). There was even enough space to allow for a second dishwasher to be installed inside of the cabinet along with a convection oven and several additional pull-out shelves that I can use for other things! We contracted with Precision Works to build cabinets for our vacation home in Indio, CA in 4 separate areas of the house: 1) media center 2) sitting room 3) office/den 4) laundry room. There was quite a bit of work to do because of the size of some of the spaces. For example, the laundry room is 20ft in length and we had top and bottom cabinets built running the full length of this area. Anyway, we couldn't be more pleased with the end result. Rich Wilson worked with us on the designs and he was both responsive and flexible. We had a pretty clear idea of what we wanted and they were able to custom-build each area exactly how we wanted it. We had to make a few modifications to the sitting room area because we did not properly communicate something but they worked with us to get it exactly right. Angel was our installer and to say he was fantastic would be underselling. He's been doing this for at least 25 years and he knew every trick in the book to construct the cabinets in the most efficient and effective way. He was careful in and around his work space and paid attention to every detail of every cabinet. They told us it would take 8-10 days and they completed the work in 9 days which is exactly on time. I've included pictures of each of the finished areas and, as you can see, it looks amazing. If you need cabinets built, don't look anywhere else, call Precision Works! read more

Cabinets by Precision Works - Cabinetry Near Me - Indio, California

I have used 20+ home improvement contractors/service providers over the past thirty years and I can absolutely confirm that Rich Wilson (sales) and Pierre (owner) of Precision Works are the two most DISHONEST contractors I have ever encountered. I spent close to $20,000 to have my kitchen cabinets resurfaced by Precision Works. Both Rich and Pierre were directly involved in the initial sales and contract discussion process. They absolutely promised they could match the finish on my existing cabinets and (because I was dealing with the owner) I would be satisfied. After several iterations, the result is that I now have a kitchen with FOUR DIFFERENT FINISHES installed by Precision Works that reflect light differently, appear to be different shades, and have different textures that can easily be distinguished. These different finishes and textures are mixed throughout my kitchen, on adjoining surfaces, where the differences are readily apparent. Subsequent to the installation, Rich admitted that they did not deliver what they promised (Pierre suddenly was no where to be found). Rich promised they would attempt to remanufacture the doors when the weather changed (blaming the poor results on the weather). Subsequently I received another letter stating these attempts did not provide any better results and they were "sorry" I was not satisfied. Of course they were not "sorry" enough to offer me any compensation or rebate for the dishonest sales tactics, poor quality results and kitchen refinishing that has REDUCED THE RESALE VALUE of my home. Ultimately the kitchen will have to be completely redone at an even greater cost to correct the damage done by Precision Works. Perhaps the cost of defending themselves and the expected compensation award in the upcoming lawsuit will demonstrate to Rich and Pierre that dishonesty and unkept promises are more costly than running an honest business. read more
