I would give this 0 stars if I could. earlier this month JB Movers moved us into our new home. we used them about a year ago to move us into a rental while we built. our experience the first time was good so we rehired them which was a huge mistake. there were 4 men and only 2 worked and worked well and respectfully. the other 2 had a nasty screaming match that I thought would break into a physical fight. one of those 2 men quit / was fired halfway through but not before breaking furniture and putting holes in walls. the other man in the fight was yelling at us, wanting us to work, was so careless with our furniture that he also broke a piece and didn't care, he was extremely rude, disrespectful and demeaning toward me and my husband. I wanted to fire the whole crew but I was afraid the head guy who was the one screaming at us would either drive off with the rest of our things or break more on purpose. that same man demanded a tip. my husband did tip because at least 2/4 of the men were actually good but the head guy complained when my husband added the demanded tip to the check. the 2 guys that actually worked and worked well are being brought down by the main guy which is too bad because they actually care about doing a good job. because the service you get here varies significantly stay clear of JB Movers. if you do go with them you're taking a huge gamble...maybe you get lucky with a good crew or maybe you're stuck with half a crew that is ready to throw punches and you and your things are caught in the middle. The truck was clean both times they moved us so I'll give them that much but it wasn't worth the gamble. Yes the owner did give us a discount and the thought was appreciated but it wasn't worth the drama and stress that move caused. read more

Absolutely fantastic. We've moved probably 8 times in the past 10 years, and we are generally satisfied enough by our movers, as they've all been pretty decent, with few exceptions. JB Movers, however, surprised me. I've never really felt like I had exceptional moving service before now, but also never felt like that was a problem. Now that I know, though... The guys at JB Movers took exceptionally great care of our stuff. Somewhat easy, since we don't have a ton - but important. Great attention to detail - they noticed there was a piece missing from one of the beds, from the last time we moved, which we happened to have laying in a drawer. They were extremely friendly, moved their butts off to get done as quickly as they could, and listened extremely well. At the end of the day, all of our stuff made it, there was absolutely no damage, our furniture was left in better shape than when they picked it up (see the bit about the bed with a missing piece), and it was actually the least expensive move we have had in years. Moving is stressful - hire these guys, and add less stress to the equation than you needed to! read more

Awesome again!! We have used JB Movers numerous times over the last 5 years. I cannot say enough about each team that is sent out to assist. It will either be John, Chad, I think we even saw Jack, the owner, one time. Everyone is always very polite and courteous. And also very careful with your items being moved. Whoever is leading the team does a great job of keeping things organized and moving at a good pace. They are always cognizant of your time, but also take care of themselves hydrating and taking the necessary breaks they need and deserve. John was in charge of our last move which involved my 92 year Mother. He was so sweet making sure her chair was the last item on the truck and the first item off the truck! John is retiring from the moving business at the end of August, so you missed your chance to work with him. I know he will be missed. I personally called Jack to let him know how his team did. I told him I hope it will be a long, long time before I need their services again. He replied 'we'll be here for you'! Thanks again for another great job!! read more

Bravo to Jack Bruce and all of his team! We made multiple moves over several months while down-sizing from a 5,000 FT2 house to a newly-built 3,200 FT2 house, into and out of three storage units, full house move, and assistance with staging moves. These were big, complicated moves. Jack's team was always on time, always professional, and always careful. Most notably, they always behaved like a team, working together and looking out for each other. They always organized the loading sequence to optimize space and safety on the truck. They had to disassemble and reassemble large wall unit systems, large pit groups, several beds, a refrigerator, a stand-up freezer, and in each case they took great care to collect and protect all of the various nuts and bolts that would be needed for reassembly. They willingly relocated furniture pieces until we were happy, and they were always looking for ways to be helpful throughout the whole process. Extra points and a big "well done" and thank you to all. I would pick JB Movers in a heart beat for any future moves. read more

This is my fourth move with JB Movers.....this time (the 4th) their service far exceeded my expectations! I am a Senior with limitations and needed the movers to realize that I totally depended on them to handle my belongings respectfully....they showed such respect in the way they wrapped everything in blankets, were careful with moving fine furniture, and so very kind to assist me when I needed their assistance.....the kindness shown me was invaluable to me and helped me with an otherwise stressful move to be at peace with their ability as movers! Thank you, Chad, Jesse, Jay Bird and David, you guys are the best....so thankful for all you did to help my move go smoothly...you did a great job and I am grateful in knowing you! Sincerely, A. I have nothing but good things to say about these guys They are 100% awesome. On February 5th I hired some yahoo company Queen City Movers located in charlotte to move me. They showed up 1 guy with his pant sagging so much I was in shock. They started the move then they realized that they couldn't do it and stopped. My sister called JB Movers and they were on the way! They knew I only had a certain amount of money to pay them but they were still on the way to help me out! They are absolutely the best! Honest and hard working men. I am truly thankful to them for everything that they did. Absolutely the best movers!! THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! Call them you will NOT regret your decision. read more

If you're moving in the Charlotte area, hire JB Movers Charlotte +1 (704) 400-2630. I had spoken with another mover who was going to nickel-and-dime me to a very large fee. Jack came to the house, assessed, and gave me an hourly fee. Move day had a specific large item challenge, but it was handled. Do any moves go flawlessly? The crew was very experienced and assured all along the way that "they had me". Enough said. Moving day stress level plummets because this team of seasoned movers "had me". The team moved me into storage as we are building a house in 18-24 months. Everything is precisely packed in the unit. There is no question who will be moving me to our new home once it is built. Hire them. read more

Very pleased with JB Movers!! Spoke with owner Jack Bruce who came out and gave me an estimate. He was very nice and professional, however, in the past I haven't had very good moving experiences so I was pretty skeptical. Fortunately his crew was everything he said they would be! They took such good care of my belongings, padded up items I was specifically worried about, and worked efficiently to help keep me on schedule. I will absolutely use them the next time I have to move, which hopefully won't be in the near future lol! I recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable company! John was main coordinator on my job would definitely recommend him and his crew... read more

Spoke with Jack directly (on referral) and he was very responsive in setting up exactly the move(s) we needed to change residences here in Charlotte. We ended up using his services for four (4) separate moves since we had to use both a storage facility and a temporary Apartment to handle two separate house closings. His estimates were both reasonable and accurate, and his crews were dependable and extremely careful with our furniture. I especially liked the fact that they were perfectly honest about being "on the clock" and that they were very efficient during the moves. I would use JB Movers again without hesitation, and highly recommend their services! read more

JB Movers has moved my family and me three times. Each experience has been very positive. The movers are all really courteous, extremely efficient, and I've never had anything broken, chipped, or dropped. Today they moved things out of our house, dropped some at a storage unit, and then moved the rest into an apartment. They were so flexible and patient with the logistics - especially considering I was running around them, still packing boxes while they loaded the truck. I will definitely use them on all future moves and highly recommend them to friends and family. read more

I recently used JB movers to move across town. Jack was very flexible with my schedule as my move date kept changing. His employees were courteous and efficient, and they took the time to be gentle with my furniture and boxes. You can tell they enjoy their job because they were all smiles and jokes, without skipping a beat in the moving process. Jack quoted me for 5 hours of work and his guys finished in a little under 4 hours. If you're moving, I definitely recommend JB Movers. I'm very glad I scheduled with them! read more

I requested a move from a 2 story duplex (older home tight turns & steep stairs) to a townhome. Called Jack and scheduled-John & JR showed up on time and professionally, efficiently moved furniture & boxes in record time! We made a stop to pick up additional furniture before the townhome. Again John & JR moved everything with the same care-this time using floor coverings due to newly refinished wood flooring. Great $ value and excellent caring, professional move experience-highly recommend JB Movers! read more

We HIGHLY recommend JB Movers. Jack was incredibly responsive and accommodating during this stressful move. The team he sent out was professional, fast, reliable and personable. All of our stuff was delivered in the same condition as it was loaded. Moving (or in our case packing the house only to have the sale fall through and unload everything back into the house a week later) can be extremely stressful. Do yourself a favor and take the moving part off your plate and hire JB Movers! read more

The first thing I tell friends about our recent move has been how great the movers were! They arrived a few minutes early ready to start the day - one stop to a storage unit for some of our furnishings, and another stop to the townhouse we were moving in to. They finished under the estimated time and were very respectful of our furnishings as well as to my wife and I. We are planning another move in 12 to 18 months - will be calling them again - and requesting the same crew! read more

JB Movers were referred to me by two of my friends who had moved within the last 3 years. They were professional and very careful with my furniture. They actually helped move my daughter's furniture into a u-haul for me on one occasion, and then later moved my entire house full of furniture and boxes to a second location. I would highly recommend this company. They are a local company that works hard to make everything right. read more

This was the best moving experience my husband and I ever had. Jack and his team could not have been better. They were very professional, hard working and finished faster than the estimated time. They went out of their way to make us happy with the end results. They succeeded. This is my first review ever but had to do it because they deserve the recognition and high the recommendation. read more

We were very impressed and pleased with our crew of four (Chad, John, Matt and JP) from JB Movers that moved us locally last week. We had some very large pieces and they did a tremendous job. They kept a great attitude the entire time and we enjoyed their personalities throughout the day. These guys worked hard ALL DAY LONG! Thanks Jack Bruce for providing us an awesome experience! read more
