My nail broke while I came to stay in Vail so I found this place in Avon to get my nails done. A super nice gentleman did my nails that just moved to Avon from Los Angeles. He knew exactly what he was doing and he absolutely killed it with my nails. I get dip-powder nails because it's my favorite. It's acrylics but so much thinner and long lasting. He did a fantastic job! We had a nice conversation as well. I didn't ask for him name unfortunately. I wish he was closer to where I lived but I'll definitely be back when I visit. I've went here a bunch of times despite the bad experiences my friends had. Today was the worst french gel manicure I ever had! He didn't ever bother to clean the cuticles where excess nail polish have been because he said it's the "glitters" from the polish. I should have known it wasn't going to be a good one when he started by coloring half of my nail with the dark polish and removing excess polish to form the tips. I've gotten french tips for YEARS and I've never ever seen anyone do it like that because it's a waste of product and very messy. That's how he left those dark lines on the base color. To top it off, it was $68. I tried to tell the manager, who took a magnifying glass to check it, and he said he doesn't see anything wrong. Meanwhile the guy who actually did my nails was still insisting that nothing was messy and it was just "glitter". The manager wanted me to sit back down cause it was apparently too dark to see it but I didn't cause I was already fuming and didn't want to cause any more scene by arguing with them on their poor services. Jazzy Nails and my nail technician Nancy did a great job on my nails but I mostly went there to get my cuticles cleaned up and my nails shaped. I prefer to paint my own but I go about every month to some nail place to keep them healthy so they don't break. That alone is worth whatever price to me. That being said **BRING CASH** they give a $3 discount if you don't use a card which is awesome. Some aspects of the store/tools aren't the cleanest and the polish is a bit thick which makes me wary that it's going to chip off in a few days but so far (24 hours) so good. I did not get a massage but my friend did and I kind of laughed as I watched her and a few others get a "massage". They just roll a hand roller around your back a few times and the lady who did it yesterday when I was in looked so unamused and bored. It was just funny to watch. 10/10 recommend going in and watching their faces as they think "god this idiot is paying $5 extra for me to rub their back real quick". Definitely opt out of the message and save your money on a real massage! All in all one star lost for the very small nail polish selection and dirty tools. f I were able to give a negative star or to this location, I would. It is that bad. I met a friend at jazzy on my vacation , I needed a fix after going to another salon in the area. I wanted a manicure/pedicure at a clean place. When we sat down in the chairs to get our pedicures, my friend actually saw her girl roll her eyes and make a sad face to my girl when we said we wanted pedicures too. We were immediately handed an upgrade sheet for more services to be added and when we both said "no thanks, just regular pedicure " that was what really made this experience even worse. To say a dog can massage ones legs and feet better with a few licks up and down, than this 10-15 second horrible "massage" (including both feet/legs in this time) is not an exaggeration.my technician, rushed my pedicure and seriously did not even massage me for more than the time it took for me to look over at my friend to make a comment. Appalling!! Now, I know how to polish my own nails and toes, I just like the experience of being at a salon and having a massage & color done for me while I catch up with a friend after a long day. Well, I can honestly say, Stevie Wonder can paint a better set of nails than this place. My nails were completely chipped not even 48 hours later and she left such a gap from my cuticle and nail, that it looked horrendous. I asked her 4 times to "please paint all of my nail and not just the center. Make sure you get the corners too" and she spoke about me in her native language. However, the man that did my nails was great. I went in with super short nail beds but this tech was very gentle. I called ahead for the pricing for a manicure pedicure. .At check-out, it was $14 more. They upcharged. $2 extra for Standard OPI polish. Extra for foot scrape that used to be included in a standard manicure. They now limit time spent b on each client. They limit the for/ hand massage & charge extra. A "basic mani/pedi cost me $90!!! After being a loyal customer for many years, I will no longer frequent this establishment, nor will I suggest it to any of my clients. .... fyi, after the businesses comments below I'll describe what happened. Have been too busy to get my nails done before Thanksgiving so I found myself with some down time while staying in Avon and decided to try Jazzy Nails. I'm sooooo glad I did. I needed an acrylic toenail done because I lost a toenail (due to a running injury) and Kai was my nail technician. While he was at it, I decided to have short acrylics on my hands, too. He is super detail oriented and efficient. My husband got a mani while we were there for the first time in 5 years and he was thrilled with how much better his cuticles feel. I had my bachelorette party up in Avon and let me tell you, amazing pedicures!! They were able to accommodate all 6 of us an hour earlier than they normally open! They were ready right on time. Pedicures all looked and felt great. They didn't do it lazy, they really get in there. My fiancé took me here when we were on a trip in CO. I'm always very cautious to where I get my nails done because I want them a certain way. On our trip I had some how messed up my nails so decided to come here and get it fixed. I actually ended up getting a few of my nails fixed and a change of color. I have to say though, we both decided to get pedicures here and loved it! ND was the nail technician that did our pedicures. Wow from start to finish, I felt so relaxed. The massage was great! He was even able to get my ingrown toe nail out with the least amount of pain! He also made a great flower design that got a lot of compliments when I was out with friends. Came in for a quick manicure & pedicure while on vacation in Avon. The place is a bit pricy, but it's on par with other salons in the area. I was able to get service without an appointment. They have discounts if you pay cash - $3 off a pedicure and $1 off a manicure. I didn't notice and they didn't explain when I picked a color that they charge extra for some of their polishes, so I ended up paying extra for that - $50 plus tip. The staff seem very friendly with their regular customers and with each other. It was a little weird how much of the conversation was not in English though and it left me feeling a little awkward. The pedicure was OK. The lady that did my feet used this apparatus that looked like a cheese grater to get the dead skin off... there may be a rule in Colorado governing this - no other reason I can his off why they would do this. She kept turning it around and showing me that there was dead skin there - I know! That's why I came in :). She didn't get nearly enough of the dead skin off - so I'll need to go to my own salon when back home. Two days later the polish still looks fresh. So overall I'd recommend the salon. read more

I temporarily moved to Vail from NY and had been receiving mediocre manicures from Dazzle, where I was always rushed and had at least one nail polish bubble. I saw a waitress with a great manicure and asked her where she got it and she told me Jazzy. Thank goodness she opened my eyes to this place. Though I'm from NY where a good manicure can be found on every street corner, I can honestly say this is one of the best manicure I've ever had. I got a pedicure and French dip, and I'm very happy. My tech was efficient, meticulous, and checked in with me to ensure the color and shape of both mani and pedi was what I wanted. I had an awful experience. There was violence between an employee and the owner. They threw chairs, objects and put us all in risk. They made us leave the place barefoot with kids crying leaving all our belongings in the salon. When the violence stopped and the police came the owner did not apologize to any of us inside the salon. I WILL NEVER come back. read more

Worst service ever!! I've never been spoken to so rudely in my life and I'm in the service industry. If I spoke to a guest the way the man that runs jazzy nails spoke to me I would be fired on the spot. Apparently not the same service standards. I am a 20 year local and have spent thousands of dollars at this establishment; made a reservation for me and my girlfriends on my birthday a month ago, when we were 5 min late and called to let them know that we were going to be late, told we were not allowed to sit together and that we should probably reschedule. When 2 of my girls were already in the process of getting their pedicures I asked if I could sit next to them in an empty chair to enjoy their company which was the reason for the appointment. He said yes, but once I did he said that I was annoying him and that I and my friends must leave. This is a place that I've gone to in a regular basis for 12 years and tip 40-50% this is how I'm treated. Never going back. Worst service I've ever had!! read more

I got a French dip powder for $50 and a week and a half later it was all chipped . I went back and asked if they can fix it and they said no I had to pay . I responded that I would than ask for it to be removed and was told $10 and that I need to stop talking????!!!??? Horrible, awful absolutely unacceptable attitude ! So sad ! Well, not sure where to start. I was a very loyal customer every two weeks or so since they opened and usually received excellent service except for the last couple of times. I don't usually make appointments but I have a busy working schedule and some times it's necessary for me to do so on some occasions. The first time I noticed something was wrong was when I was over charged for a mani & pedi, it was $85.00, at the time I guess I should have spoken up but I didn't need to the nice owner lady noticed two weeks later and they gave me a discount on my next service. I know many others that would not have been pleased at being over charged for their services. Over this last weekend I made an appointment, the triple bypass (bike tournament) was going on and the traffic was something awful so I arrived for my appointment approximately 3 mins late. I was told by the male owner when I arrived that I would have to wait, and said that I had a 3:00pm appointment and he said "this not Doctor office" not even sure what that means?!? I simply turned around and left, I get it their busy but they have no loyalty what so ever, it's really sad actually because I usually only ever write good reviews but that ended today. I'm a Guest Services Manager with Wyndham and I have sent many guests and customers alike to this business when people are visiting the Valley. That will no longer happen I will send all guests anywhere but here and I will recommend the very nice spas and other nail salons around town that have much less attitude and don't mind servicing the locals. read more

I have been going to Jazzy Nails since the first week that they opened. I absolutely love these guys! Several months now. I have had manicures, pedicures & waxing done here. I have honestly never had such nice people as far as these kinds of services are concerned! Waxing-I am really a nervous Nelly when it comes to my eyebrows. These are a totally understanding group of people, they will stop, let me look, put my fears to rest & then move on. Nails & toes-They are great here too! So gentle but awesome! The young lady did an amazing job.... a true perfectionist! I couldn't be happier! My nails are short, and she did a no chip French that makes them look great! I usually enjoy coming here but I just got the WORST manicure ever. I had acrylics removed ($10) and while taking them off I was cut on EVERY finger, and when I pulled away she would push down harder. Some of them were filed down so much it irritated my nail bed. Then when she was doing my cuticles she was pulling the skin so hard I had to pull away. I've never been in so much pain getting a manicure. It was awful. Don't bother making an appointment, no one started my nails until at least 15-20 mins after the appointment start time. Pedicure water wasn't warm enough. No hot towel for manicure, which left polish all over my cuticles. When the manicurist put a top coat on, she didn't put enough so the top coat is rough and uneven. Let me not forget to mention the basic manicure is $18, and is the worst manicure I've ever gotten. Also, there is a poor selection of nail polish. A limited # of Essie & OPI options, the rest are some off brands I've never heard of. Find somewhere else to go. read more

This was my first time to Jazzy and I left there feeling happy with my experience while being on vacation. Loc did my nails and he did a wonderful job! I have had difficulty finding people who can do what I asked for and he made great recommendations right from the start whereas most nail salon you go to, they just do what they feel like what looks good to them. I knew then I can trust what he suggested. He spent extra time with my hand massage and everything felt perfect. I've gotten many compliments on my nails and every time I'm in town I will be sure to come back here. The salon is great! Modern and relaxing to go to. It's clean and sanitary. Before I went there I made a phone call and they were pleasant and well informed with the questions I asked. The vibe there is great and low key for me. I'm very picky about my nails and I keep my ears and eyes peeled for places that are clean and the atmosphere I'm in. Unfortunately, I don't live in Colorado and have to go back home!
