Wonderful spa! Very tranquil. I spent about 4 hours here and it was so relaxing. Highly recommend any treatment with Molly!

I stumbled across the spa online (and its 40% off off-season massage special) and decided to book a…read morecouples massage (and a weekend at the hotel) for my milestone bday. See my hotel review (http://www.yelp.com/biz/vail-cascade-resort-and-spa-vail#hrid:tKY2h9gncZJE_dgm_RoeEw) for additional details.....this review is solely for the spa & club. The locker room facilities were very organized and clean. However, we planned to spend 1/2 the day hanging out together in the spa/club. The co-ed jacuzzi and pool were located downstairs, outside, across the basketball courts (a bit awkward to walk across a court full of players in your bathing suit but oh well....). We seemed to be the only guests who even considered using the pool/jacuzzi? The area looked like it hadn't been touched in a while and could definitely use a facelift. The staff at the desk nearby encouraged me to run upstairs to grab towels as they didn't keep any down there. Ugh. The massages were ok. It felt like the staff was overworked and in a hurry to get to the next client. As a result, I couldn't really relax. The best part of the spa? The transition room....tranquil environment with cozy fireplaces, plenty of mags, stocked with fruit and water. Overall we were very underwhelmed. I can't imagine paying full price for anything at this spa. This was not the celebration I hoped for.

Funny thing was I never heard from anyone. Not a welcome to the club, not a try out this, that or the other class. NOTHING. Guess they dont need/want new members. Worst part about it was the hot tub broke the first week I was there, and was still broken 3 WEEKS later when I left. They have everything you want in a health club, showers, towels, shampoo and all the rest, so that part is OK. The spa is no longer at the health club though, its in the hotel, and its quite a walk.

I enjoyed the amenities such…read moreas the sauna and hot tub but unfortunately some amenities were closed and I would have appreciated a warning about that. They had male workers speaking loudly to each other in Spanish the entire 7 hours I was there. They were clanking around and you could hear it all the way in the massage rooms. The restrooms were not kept up with and I did lodge a complaint about the loud noise and dirty restrooms. Nothing seemed to change. The sauna is right next to the waiting room and treatment rooms leading to extremely dry heat making my throat sore and my body sweaty. The spa has some renovations and improvements to make. The cleaning people were mopping the locker room floors I slipped and fell. There was not a single yellow caution "slippery when wet" sign. They couldn't have mopped after the spa closed? Last but not least the front desk I made the reservation with did not communicate to my masseuse leading to some bumps in the road there. Only go to this spa if you have no other options and want to listen to loud speaking Spanish male maintenance workers clank around, possibly slip and fall, smell some horrible smells in the restroom and get a sore throat.
