5 Stars for a Couple' Massage Lesson that I cannot recommend enough. While visiting Vail, my husband surprised me with a couple's massage lesson session with Samantha Sunshine. It was probably one of the most fun, centering, connecting experiences we've had since getting married. We called the studio to get exact parking directions as it can be a bit confusing, but they helped us find a spot and as soon as we entered the studio we know we were in the right spot. The subtle scent of oils and soft music played as we waited. Samantha greeted us and gave us some shoes to wear as we entered a room that featured a soft, cushioned floor, some hanging silks, and a gentle atmosphere. We were led, one by one, to follow Samantha's directions is giving the other partner a full body massage (using our whole bodies as leverage). Wow- it was so connecting! What could've been an awkward lesson was actually one where we felt totally at ease and where Samantha helped us touch and hold one another in affirming, supportive ways, while stretching and ultimately feeling completely relaxed by the end. I visited Vail, Co last month and had my first thai/yoga/aerial massage and WOW!!! I had never ever experienced this type of massage and it was amazing! I arrived with so much tension in my neck/shoulders and left feeling refreshed, relaxed and just overall great! I wanna go back to Vail JUST to book another massage at Sunshine! This was such a great and memorable experience for my boyfriend and I. We booked a private yoga session with Samantha Sunshine and couples massage with Brigette and David after. I ended up mixing up the time and showing up 30 mins late to the apt which Samantha was so patient and understanding to this. Not once did she make us feel bad for showing up late (which we felt horrible) nor did she cut down on any time for our session. It was my boyfriends first time doing yoga so she was able to thoughtfully cater the session to both of our levels of experience. This was very a very fun and hands on experience we will take with us in our future practice! The massages were also amazing. If you are not familiar with Thai style massage it may be a little bit different your first time, but it is a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. What a remarkable experience with truly lasting effects! I didn't know what to expect walking in for my massage but I was determined to keep an open mind and try to throw the past year's stresses behind me. I sat in their mini lounge and found myself chatting with Samantha, the owner. An absolute delight. Her bright, happy energy was infectious, and you could truly see the passion for what she's created. I was then greeted by my masseuse, Bridgette, and led into an epic Zen room! I instantly fell in love with the ambiance. We chatted a little, and Bridgette was intently listening for any concerns/ailments. The mattress and cushions around me felt like I was laying on clouds, they were so comfy! Every touch, pressure point and stretch was done thoughtfully and with purpose. The oils used completely cleared my breathing passages and relaxed me even more. The hot stones, hot towels, Yogi and Shiatsu style massage... everything flowed so perfectly from one to the next, and even when I thought I couldn't possibly relax any further, I would fall even deeper! I don't think I'll ever get this kind of massage anywhere else with such diversity in techniques. I'm absolutely coming back with friends and family, but I'm keeping Bridgette to myself. If you have a standard table and deep pressure massage in mind, think again. The therapists are so talented and really get to the main issues that are bothering you. Enjoyed a novel and relaxing massage on a recent Saturday morning. Allison was my masseuse and she was fabulous. She incorporated elements of Thai massage and provided firm and sustained pressure at key points. She also incorporated aromatherapy and allowed me to choose the scent she then used through different parts of the 90 minute session. During transitions she used soft chimes and ended the session with a series of gongs which provided a restorative end to a lovely experience. We were in Vail for our anniversary and both got two hour massages. I had never tried cupping before this - it was unbelievable. I have really bad lower back pain and pain across the middle of my back. After two hours it was completely gone. I feel amazing.
