I stumbled across the spa online (and its 40% off off-season massage special) and decided to book a couples massage (and a weekend at the hotel) for my milestone bday. The locker room facilities were very organized and clean. However, we planned to spend 1/2 the day hanging out together in the spa/club. The co-ed jacuzzi and pool were located downstairs, outside, across the basketball courts (a bit awkward to walk across a court full of players in your bathing suit but oh well....). We seemed to be the only guests who even considered using the pool/jacuzzi? The area looked like it hadn't been touched in a while and could definitely use a facelift. The staff at the desk nearby encouraged me to run upstairs to grab towels as they didn't keep any down there. Ugh. The massages were ok. It felt like the staff was overworked and in a hurry to get to the next client. As a result, I couldn't really relax. The best part of the spa? The transition room....tranquil environment with cozy fireplaces, plenty of mags, stocked with fruit and water. Overall we were very underwhelmed. I can't imagine paying full price for anything at this spa. This was not the celebration I hoped for. read more

Aria Spa & Club - Outdoor pool - Day Spas Near Me - Vail, Colorado

Well, had to find a place to shower when the water was off at my place. Signed up, and that was it. The only thing I got from most of the front desk staff for a month was " Want a locker"? Funny thing was I never heard from anyone. Not a welcome to the club, not a try out this, that or the other class. NOTHING. Guess they dont need/want new members. Worst part about it was the hot tub broke the first week I was there, and was still broken 3 WEEKS later when I left. They have everything you want in a health club, showers,towels, shampoo and all the rest, so that part is OK. The spa is no longer at the health club though, its in the hotel, and its quite a walk. read more

Vail.... such a wonderful place.... And yet.... some work could be done on spas. Aria spa is gorgeous. The whisper room is really for whispering, but it's beautiful in that relaxing lodge sort of way. Massages are wonderful here because there is tons of experience with athletic massages. If you're on vacation and relaxed with a special someone, this is a wonderful addition to the trip. As for facial... bad. I am accustom to Asian facial, where you are extracted and then they zap you clean and put a mask on you. This is the weird type of facial where they over attend to your face with no real understanding or purpose. They extract you in a way that makes no sense. Then they rub moisturizer on your face!! So now that your pores are all open, they are now filled with guk. And then mask. Not a great mask, just a typical I could do this at home sort of mask in my opinion. Day after, I broke out like crazy. Some would say this is the way facials are suppose to be. If you have really bad skin, this can sometimes be the case. For me, this can only be the result of a really bad facial. This facial might work if your main purpose was hydration. For the rest, stay away from facials and stick to massage. read more

I had a very pleasant experience at Aria Spa. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing and the staff was friendly and accomodating. The services are very pricey for what you get at comparable day spas but it is Vail, after all. I'd recommend it if you absolutely need some pampering that can't wait until you get back home. Good spa experience. The spa is above the parking lot and you have access to the gym and outdoor pool/jacuzzi with the spa treatment. We got there early to hang out by the pool. The pool is small and so is the jacuzzi, but luckily it's Summertime and not too busy. I had a 50 minute massage with davide thanks to a travelzoo coupon. My friend also had a massage with a female masseuse. We both agreed that the massage was great, relaxing and extremely efficient. Great pressure and comfortable, clean room. The whisper room is cozy and welcoming. I can see how it would be super popular in the winter with the central fireplace. After the massage we enjoyed the indoor jacuzzi in the women's locker room as well as the steam room. Both good, though some jets weren't working and someone left a razor in the steam room. I showered afterward. The water did not get really hot and the pressure was fine but not great. I appreciated the hair serum for blow drying afterward though! I think I'd come back but only with a discount. I also felt awkward with multiple phone calls afterward to leave a tip for the nail service. First call was my bad. After that... It got uncomfortable. read more

I don't get pedicures that often, but I would probably find a way to fit her into my budget if I lived here! I don't think I've ever been so happy with a pedicure. So glad I walked in today. This was my second visit to Aria Spa, and both have been fabulous. I had the hot stone massage both times, and left feeling relaxed and refreshed. This time I also had a pedicure, and I was very pleased with the work. Everyone here is very friendly and very helpful and accommodating. In fact, there was a special that took 10% off your services that I was not aware of when I made the appointments, but the woman at the desk took it off automatically without us even having to ask. I especially like the time spent in the whisper room - something about the chaises and the fireplace and the trashy magazines and the quiet... you just want to curl up and stay there forever. I also like the locker room, which has every amenity you need if you're going to shower and change after your treatments. It's pricy, but it's also an outstanding experience. read more

This place is the pits. Lousy staff, whom really don't care but are just collecting a ski pass and a pay check. It's also filthy in there. And the members are the worst, a bunch of oldy farts that have no interest in fitness, just pontificating about their unplowed drive and the state of political affairs in the country. Aria Club and Spa is located across the street from Vail Cascade Resort. I was hoping to get a spa treatment but opted to do Yoga since I thought it would be more "productive". Stretch Yoga was offered Sunday morning at 9am. I've got to say Aria is definitely convenient. read more

My husband and I went to this spa while vacationing in Vail and celebrating our wedding anniversary. Having visited a myriad of spas in California, we were excited to have massages and some down time. This spa leaves a lot to be desired. Our two massages were $300 and the price did not reflect the quality at all. In the "whisper" room, the staff were conversing at normal conversation levels while we were attempting to relax. This went on for at least five minutes until their appointments arrived. I ordered a custom massage but was never asked what I wanted done, which areas I needed focus on, or if the pressure was ok. My husband had a sports massage and ended up with bruises all over his thighs. The jacuzzi in the women's locker room has rust in it which surely must be a health hazard. Bottom line: This spa is not the quiet, relaxing type escape that we intended it to be. We've been to several spas, mostly Casa Palmero in Pebble Beach, and are used to a much higher quality experience for the price. While the staff in the rest of the hotel was fabulous, the spa leaves a lot to be desired. For $300, they need to get it together. read more

I had the best deep tissue massage with Cindy. She was attentive, focused on all the right pain spots, used the right amount of pressure, etc. Would highly recommend. Leaving out one star because the outdoor hot tub and pool were not ready to be used when I wanted to use them (around noon) - an oversight on the part of the spa/club but it's one of the main amenities so someone should have been paying attention. They were very good at saying they would take care of it but I didn't want to wait. read more

I really enjoyed my experience at Aria spa. I had a botanical facial with Natalie and she was really great. She was super sweet and did a good job with my facial. I like that this particular facial had no extractions...when im getting a facial id rather not have my face pinched and poked at, im there for complete relaxation. She did a nice neck and shoulder massage and a hand and arm massage, AND a scalp massage. Wonderful! I live in Denver, which is about a 2 hours away, but i think its worth the beautiful drive up I-70 to come visit this spa again, perhaps for a special occasion. The atmosphere was very relaxing, i loved the "tranquility room" Overall, great spa...ive been to a several different spas, and this place is one of the best. read more

I went in for a lip wax and came out badly burned. I had 3 large black burns on my upper lip. The person that did the waxing didn't show any concern and seemed rather out of it. The manager was not in so I got her name and called the next morning. She said she would come by to look at it and never showed up. I called again and she said that I should come in an get a treatment to help the burn. When I arrived for the treatment I found out that the manager never told the therapist that I had been burned( she said she would discuss it prior to my arrival). The therapist looked at my burn and asked what happened. I told her and she said that the burn should not be touched. I went to the managers office and told her what the therapist said. The manager got very defensive and handed me a sample of some lotion and said she would check on me the next day.. she never did. I had a red marks for months. She never offered any resolution. I had been a very good customer and spent thousands of dollars at Aria over the years. Needless to say I won't be going back there. read more

I had the 50 minute organic facial at this beautiful spa. You go into their gorgeous changing room, change into a fluffy spa robe and slippers and meet your masseuse in the Sanctuary which really is a sanctuary. A breathtaking room built around a fireplace with lounging chairs and beds surrounding it. You can sip on organic hot tea while you wait and after you're done. Jen, who performed my facial was professional and very nice. Afterwards, sit in the sanctuary a little more ( you hate to leave) and then off to the sauna and jacuzzi. We went off season and the rate was $78 for the facial as well as a massage. Pamper yourself in this luxurious spa and relax and unwind after a day of snowboarding, skiing or just as an expanded way to enjoy Vail. read more

Spa is part of Vail Cascade. I came here with a large group of girls for a bachelorette party. We were not guests of the hotel (we rented a big house), but they were super accomodating and got us all in at around the same time. Nearly all services were 40% off (since ski season had ended), which meant it was still expensive but less than it could've been. I am not a regular for spas, but I think all the girls had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed their respective services (massages, facials, scrubs, manicures, waxes). The "whisper rom" - as we called it - was peaceful, though I wish there was another relaxing room that we could talk without disturbing others. My voice hurt after whispering for so long, and it's hard to spend an afternoon with "the girls" and NOT talk! Some of the girls ordered lunch at the spa, I don't think there were too many options, but I'm told it was OK. The spa gave each guest a mimosa (first one is free) and that also made the occasion that much more special. And the robes are super comfy! Overall, it was a good choice, we were happy to be there. read more

Spa was beautiful and the amenities were a plus. My facial was $140, a bit pricy but Jen did an amazing job. My deep tissue massage was a disaster. Another $140 for the worst massage I ever had by Jim. I thought deep tissue meant deep but he may as well blew on my body and rubbed me with a feather. Thought it was a joke but as it turned out it was the real deal. I got a leg wax and bikini wax and when all was said and done with the 20% tip my bill was $459 and that was after I used a $35 credit. Won't do it again. For that kinda money I expect my deep tissue to be deep. Thanks to the very nice amenities it was not worth complaining but a lesson learned. read more

After looking on-line at the specials for the spa, my husband and I booked a couples hot stone massage. The special on the website said 1/2 price couples massages. I booked the day, and the spa called the next day to review my reservation. They asked me if I wanted a 50 or 80 minute massage. I said I'd change it to 80 minutes. She did not inform me that this was not covered by the special that I had signed up for. We found out when we went to check out of the spa and discovered our bill was $400, not $200. Needless to say, we were very disappointed. We tried speaking to a manager to explain the mistake and the misunderstanding. They would hear nothing of trying to correct the wrong. I had signed up for a special, and the employee who called and made the reservation made me understand that the special still covered the longer massage. Apparently not. They wouldn't refund a fraction of the bill and were very curt over the phone. read more

Went in for a 50 minute massage with Florence and it was amazing! Kim at the spa front desk was very friendly and extremely helpful. Very relaxed atmosphere and the locker rooms were very clean, nice and inviting. The reason why I only put four stars was of the quality of the outdoor hot tub and pool. To access them you have to walk across a basketball court! The pool and hot tub haven't been updated in some time and the interstate noise is very loud at times. Other than that, there was very good customer service at the spa front desk and my massage with Florence was incredible! read more

This is by far the worst spa in Vail. The staff are unfriendly and not professional and the common rooms leave a lot to be desired. The only charming thing is a fireplace which are a dime a dozen in Vail. I booked a Brazilian bikini wax only to be told once I had arrived that they could not do one. Any European would not even consider what they do there a bikini wax. But they are cheap and don't want to pay for the extra insurance. I have also has a difficult time there when I got a facial a few years ago- they asked if I wanted something without explaining it would be extra. Overall they are just very unprofessional and I find the staff cold and smug. I would not recommend it at all when there are so many other classy hotel spas- at the Westin in Avon you get a swimming pool and hot tub and at the Vail Mountain Lodge you get much more luxury and they use better products. read more
