So I live locally and have for several years and being a fairly active athlete, am always looking for a good massage therapist to straighten out what gets overused or abused OR just for stress relaxation. I have used a few good people who have unfortunately moved on so I asked a trusted friend for a recommendation. Without hesitation she said Kordi Schmidt at Manor Vail Spa. I was able to get a fairly close in appointment which, being ski season, is reason enough to go! Man am I glad I did. Kordi is owner of the spa so won't be going anywhere soon thank god. When I saw her certifications were from a Canadian Massage Therapy School, I knew I was in the right place! I filled out a quick client profile and she asked a few key questions about injuries, surgeries or issues (I've had them all multiple times) and she got to work. If you are looking at this review, you have had a massage before so I'll skip the basics. Kordi was an incredibly capable and knowledgable therapist and found all the trigger points to work. Some flexibility issues were resolved as well. She has a lot of experience working with both athletes and non-athletes alike and is very strong! This will be a bi-weekly necessity for me until I get over my recent sports injury. Highly recommended! read more

Kordi and her staff are phenomenal! I have been going to the spa for over 2 years now for regular waxing and massages and the services they provide are top notch. Her facilities are beautiful, relaxing and smell fantastic and instantly put you at ease along with the friendly smiles at the front desk. Kordi and her team use organic, top of the line products. Kordi and her massage therapists are the best in the game and tremendously knowledgable. I highly recommend the sports deep tissue massage for any injuries or scar tissue you may be dealing with. She also has a fantastic retail space, giving you the opportunity to invest in the products they use (never pushy sales though!) and the rewined soy candles she has are the best! My two sisters and I spent a half day at the spa. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating to our last minute decisions. They went out of their way to prepare things for our visit, and were so easy to work with over the phone. We each had a different massage, and I couldn't tell you whose was the best. Everyone raved about their particular masseuse and treatment (Swedish, Aroma Therapy and Skin Rejuvenation). We also took advantage of their steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi. We finished off with some lovely pedicures. The atmosphere in the spa area was so peaceful and comfortable. We recommend treating yourself to The Spa at Manor Vail. Hats off to Rich, Kordi, and Erin. Felix provided the best sports deep tissue massage I've ever had! This is a small off-the-beaten-path spa in Vail. I found it because it was one of the only places my husband could get a back facial - which he loved! I booked a sports massage. Felix combined reflexology, cupping, stretching, and deep tissue massage so this was more like body work. And it was amazing! He also provided a lot of coaching about fitness as we age - about breathing, stretching and handling the Vail high altitude. My body feels so much better today! read more

I highly recommend the Spa for a post ski recuperation. Ruth and her wonderful staff provide 5 Star service! After several days on the mountain I scheduled an afternoon massage with Stephanie followed by a session with the recovery boots and oxygen bar. The combination was magic for my sore body. At one point the technician even called the boss to ask how to fix the nails, and they ended up putting polish underneath the nails. There was also nail glue all over my fingers.
