I came here a couple days before my wedding for a regular mani pedi in a light pink color. The woman doing my nails made me bleed on three fingers and put a weird yellow powder that kept an orange color around those nails. She applied the polish and it looked very uneven, settling more on the tips and super light coat on the bottom of my nail. I pointed out that it wasn't one solid color and a bit uneven and she was rude and said it was the color that I picked. She also didn't clean up the edges of my nails, it was not clean looking at all. After leaving and fully drying, there were bumps all over my nails on the polish. I ended up taking off the polish and buying press ons from walgreens since I was short on time. My flower girls had a good experience with their nails, and the other women I was with weren't nearly as bad but not great. Expensive too. I will not be coming back here and don't recommend. read more

Nice enough welcome when arriving but 5 minutes after sitting in the chair receiving my pedicure, the technician cut me badly and I was bleeding on my middle toe. Careless scrubbing from a very intense callous remover! 72 hours later and my toe is still bleeding and throbbing and Im wondering if its infected. I spoke to a girlfriend about it and she said she had been to Ivy before and also was cut. Again, nice enough place but seriously underwhelmed. My manicure was just okay. I made an appointment, but had to wait 30 minutes ( as my feet were soaking) for my pedicure to begin. The young man did a very nice gel pedicure and massage, which i tipped highly. When it was time for my manicure ( I brought my own polish) the owner removed my polish, filed my nails, messily slapped polish on and left to go get her kids. 20 minutes later, she still hadn't returned. I was charged $100.00. I didn't mind paying $70 for the pedicure but $30 for a "manicure" that I had to redo at home is ludicrous. I left my number and asked that the owner call me to discuss prior to writing this. Will I go back, hard no. Would I recommend this place? Depends on the owner response. read more

My left hand had longer length which I pointed out. Left ring finger acrylic nail was filed aggressively on one side looked crooked and blamed it on my nail bed! Had to show manager. I have even nail beds! He then cut off entire Acrylic to start over because I told manager. I have several cuts around cuticles. He didn't even apply pressure or first aid ointment! I have nail polish on my skin. It was empty I don't get it why he was so rushed. Yes the French looks pretty. But bad experience was in there for too. I recently moved to this valley and I'm glad that I gave this salon a try the first time I was looking to get my nails done. I am usually doing gel and the first time Ky the owner did my manicure, he did a great job and is a very pleasant person to talk to. The next time I went in he remembered me by name right when I walked in, I opted for dipping powder and his wife Kathy dis amazing job, she is so fun and creative. They have the sweetest puppy shih-poo Stela and two adorable girls. I was one of the last customers for the day and they offered me a drink and chocolate. Very pleasant people and true professionals. Very nice salon that I found on Yelp. I had my nails done by Cai, one of the owners. He did a great job and he is so friendly. It was easy to get in on the same day that I called. They have a large selection of gel colors to choose from. The manicure comes with a hot oil treatment. That was very nice. They also have warm lotion for the massage after the manicure. There's definitely attention to detail here. I checked in on Yelp and they had a $5 off coupon. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

I hate to leave a bad review but I want other women who love their nails to know what's up! I went here because someone said they were sometimes good. One of the owners did my nails (Kai I think?) and I explained to him that I'm picky. I own 2 businesses and my nails need to be excellent. He assured me it wouldn't be a problem. Everything was fine until the end... he finished sanding down the dip and proceeded to apply the top coat without using the super fine drill or buffing the nails. I explained to him that I wanted the nails buffed prior to the top coat (I've been getting dip for almost 10 years in salons all over the world and they ALWAYS buff to super shiny before the top coat)... and he got SO ANGRY AT ME. He jerked my hands, actually drilled into my finger and hurt me. I pulled my hands away and said, I'm simply asking you to make my nails the way I like them and I'll pay any amount of money. He once again used the super rough drill which left my nails lumpy. Then put the top coat on. They were a mess. I immediately went to another salon to fix them. I wish I wouldn't have paid him (the pedicure with another man was fine). It makes no sense how he thinks he can top coat without buffing. It was a waste of time and money. Mediocre nails aren't okay with me. I now go to Love Nails in Denver and they are the most gorgeous, perfect and long lasting nails I've ever had. And the owner told me to tell her exactly what I want because they're my nails, not hers. I hope Kai changes his attitude and learns a few new skills if he wants to stay open in this valley! read more

What a terrible mistake. It started out with as a walk-in for a gel manicure. That lasted 4 days and started to peel off. I called when I returned to town to see if the salon would stand by their work. Nope, he stated it was all my fault and I was to call when it happened and return to the salon to be fixed. I was 1500 miles away. This is their "rule". Outrageous. When I asked if they stand by their work, he stated he was busy and hung up on me. Never Again. read more

Decided to go out and get a mani pedi for the first time in a while - lots of people in the valley recommended this place to me. Took my 13 y/o sister in law with me and she planned to just get a manicure. We didn't have an appointment which I understand is sometimes inconvenient, but I asked them if they had time for me and they said yes. It was literally 10am and only two people were there. I sat down and right away the lady was rude to me and my sister in law. I came with the intentions to spend money for something I would love and they wouldn't allow me to get anything but acrylic with regular nail polish - something I do on my own nails at home for far cheaper than the $60 I was charged. I asked for french tips (pink and white) and they told me it would be $100 for my nails alone! What?! I was told I could not get a pedicure either. My sister in law was told she could only get a pedicure - not even what she asked for at all! Again, just Walmart nail polish from a color selection of maybe 20 - 30 colors. Awful. The lady grabbed my wrist and put it under the UV light, and it messed up my wet nail polish. I asked to get it fixed and they refused. Because I'm a little too shy to speak up, I paid the $100 total for a mediocre mani and a very lax pedi, and I left. I feel bad for the people with appointments who were turned away at the door too !! Terrible. Only giving 2 stars because my shape and acrylic itself was nicely done but I still wouldn't come back. read more

I came here with a friend who had just gotten engaged and wanted to have nice looking nails to when she showed off her new ring. When we called they fit us in to their schedule immediately. When we were looking at prices it was the cheapest place in town to get a manicure. They did a great job on our nails while the owners chatted with us for a bit, telling us about how they named their salon after their daughter. One thing I especially liked was the cleanliness of the salon. It seemed well ventilated too which is always great in any nail salon. So I was visiting Colorado from Baltimore. The day before leaving for my trip, I got my nails done, and let me tell you, they were bad. The tips were completely uneven, the nails themselves were bubbly, and the French tip was literally a flat line. I was embarrassed to have them on. I asked a few locals where I should go to get my nails done, and everyone said ivy nails. When I went in, it was very relaxed and not crowded. I forgot the name of the lady who did my nails, but she did an incredible job. We ended up taking off my tips and she introduced me to the dipping powder. I am so glad I came in and it was probably the best manicure I ever had. The nail tech told me that the tips I got done in Baltimore were actually "rising" and if I kept them on, fungus would have eventually developed underneath them...Um, eww. I appreciated her patience, help and honesty. My mom came in with me and she got her nails done as well, and her nails looked great! My mom bites the skin on the side of her nails, so hers looked pretty jacked up (lol) and they did a great job and fixing the skin on the side of her nails. We are so happy we came in and WISH we lived closer. I would be in all the time! If I'm ever back in Colorado, I will definitely be coming back here. read more

I went in with high hopes after seeing photos of nail art, but it was falsely advertised. Not only could she not execute a french nail with acrylic, she expected me to tell her how to do her job. I had them remove what little they did and will not go back nor will I reccomend this place to anyone. Expensive!! I got a pedicure and manicure with dip polish for the mani and regular polish for the pedi. I wasn't asked what type of pedicure I wanted and I thought I got the basic because it was just a cuticle care, minimal amount of heel scrub and a quick lotion massage. The polish is a bit messy and the cut is uneven on my toes. For the manicure it was my first time trying dip powder. There was no soaking my fingers, no cuticle clean up, no lotion and my hands/fingers are very dry. I also have quite a bit of residue under my nails that the tech said will come off in a few days. I'm not sure if this is normal or not. Bottom line, it came to $75 and I can't figure out what I was charged for. Looking online the basic pedi is $30, basic mani is $16 and the dip is $5. That comes to $51. I should have asked more questions, but I'm visiting here on vacation and I'm not sure what's normal for Vail prices. In Florida, your pedi includes scrubs, lotions, hot towels and hot stones for those prices and at least a basic lotion massage for the mani. The dip looks good, but I'm not impressed with the value and I wouldn't come back for these prices. read more

I booked an appt for mani pedi and eyebrow wax. I was so looking forward to it with so many great reviews. There were a number of what I would call younger girls either not wearing a mask at all or half way. I waited almost 30 min and just ended up leaving. I just had a poor experience. Be aware that they will begrudgingly (and rudely) honor the 10% Yelp discount. When I showed them my phone at check out to redeem the offer the (I assume manager or owner) said it was from four years ago and not avail now. I told her it was on their Yelp page. She told me that it wasn't on their Yelp page and she wasn't sure what I did to find it (like I somehow figured out how to get into their account and put it on there, lol). I showed her where the discount was on my phone and she continued to disagree with me saying it wasn't there (she didn't trust my phone). She took out her iPad and went to Yelp and asked me to show her where on her iPad the discount is (this is, by the way, in front of all the other customers, and she wasn't very nice). I showed her. With the proof in front of her she said that she would offer it "just for me" but it shouldn't be on there. I suggested she then remove it from their Yelp page and she unkindly responded with "it's not that easy and you don't know how it works." No apology. Everyone in the spa was avoiding glances and quiet. I left feeling embarrassed like I was some criminal screwing them out of their money, but really they should just take the discount off Yelp if it's not current to avoid future misunderstandings. I would give 1 star for customer service but the women who gave me my mani and pedi was very nice and did a great job. The Yelp discount misunderstanding left a very poor taste in my mouth and I will not be returning. read more
