I'm from Utah where I spend no more than $45 for my gel acrylics, I was VERY hesitant to even get them done around the 30 mi radius of Eagle, CO because I seen so many recent bad reviews for most places, the great reviews are like 5-8 years outdated. I reached out to the community on FB and Chippen nails was most recommended! I made the appointment for the same day and drive over (LOVE Colorado this time of year, so green) & Paul was waiting for me to arrive and went to work ASAP. He was very quick!!!! Very friendly and interactive, it was nice given most of my nail ladies are quiet:) he mentioned only being there for 4-5 days!!!! So he's new but he's great! 10 days after an acrylic manicure 3 of my nails peeled almost completely. I call them to see if I can stop by to have them repair but the manager told me that I had to make and pay for a new manicure. Acrylic manicures, should last 2 or 3 weeks. Ten days is not right and their response to costumer service is awful. I do not recommend this nail spa no anyone. read more

I went here the first time to fix acrylic nails I got done elsewhere that kept breaking from the bad job the other place did. Since I grew up in edwards, i've gone to this salon a lot for my nails and waxing. but recently since moving to denver, i usually go back once every couple of months when i visit. this past time i asked to get my eyebrows and lip waxed. Omg I love this place best massage of my life, the new massage chairs are a major update if you haven't tried them you've got to. The staff is really nice, they really know how start a conversation. I walk in sandals most of the time so my feet get really dry and callus begins to form, I tried to get rid of the callus but I didn't have any luck, but as soon as I got to chippen nails they got rid of the callus like nothing. You should really try the deluxe pedicure or the regular pedicure they're the best Scott really does know how to give a massage. read more

I got a basic gel manicure for $50. I made an appt and walked right in, with no wait and it took around 45 minutes. The tech did a fantastic job cleaning up my cuticles and applying the gel polish. However, it's starting to peel and chip after about 2 weeks. Which, I'm very hard on my nails, however a professional application typically lasts me closer to 3 weeks. read more

Strong acrylic nails smell, but the place is clean and nice. I got a pedicure and am extremely happy with the result. She did a great job and spent time on my feet which is exactly what I asked her to do. I previously had been to a place in Avon which was not great, and I'm now switching to Chippen Nail; I'm happy to make the drive from Avon. The only other negative was the fact that someone was talking on their phone; she had ear pieces and was talking while the guy was doing nails. I agree with the other customer who said they should ban talking on cell phones. read more

The salon is very nice inside. Clean and well decorated. The massage chairs are way better than those at nearby salons. My friend I was with had a fabulous experience. My experience was dampened during the manicure because they kept trying to use those automatic drill filers over the top of my nails to take previous gel polish off. I asked (more than once) to please not use that on top of my nails because I have paper thin nails that peel. They accommodated and did it with normal scraper, but then once again pulled put the drill on top of that, and then yet again on my cuticles. They left the shape rough and the ends of my nails were scratchy and had flaky pieces as they started to paint, I had to point it out and ask them to fix it so that the paint would stay. After years of manicures I've found the only wag gel polish stays on my nails more than 2-3 days without peeling off is if the nail tech takes care not to apply the polish too close to the skin/cuticles. I requested this, and then requested again as the tech painted over the skin and down. When finished, I pointed out the multiple snags on the end of the nails and the polish where it didn't go to the tip of the nail. I also flagged multiple places where the polish was stuck the skin. I left feeling aggravated that my requests to not use the drill on the top of my nail and to leave space between the cuticle were ignored. The finished product was scratchy nail ends that they filed down and nail polish on skin that within one hand wash was already peeling off. My nails hurt after the manicure from being drilled down on on top. Worth noting my friend had a lovely experience and great manicure, so maybe it was just an off day for the nail tech. read more

Would never go there again. The first clue should have been that it smelled like dirty feet. Secondly the salon was actually dirty. There was no indication that anything was sterilized. When I specifically asked that the manicurist only cut the hang nails and not the cuticles, she ignored my request. Never again. read more

Had a horrible experience getting acrylic nails there! Went in to get the acrylic nails that I had on taken off and have a new pair put on. Instead of soaking them off the nail tech used a long metal instrument to pry my nails off. She ripped off the top layer of my real nail, it so that the acrylic nails that she put on after words were extremely painful. The nail was so thin and one of them broke off And the other nails were constantly bending my real nail and not breaking off ,causing a lot of pain. I can only assume this is because she used so much glue that the entire nail was glued on not just the tip of the nail like they are supposed to do.They are not experienced here they do NOT know what they are doing.
