I asked for acrylic nails, but when I arrived the technician used press-on nails instead. During the appointment she had me hold the UV light myself to cure every nail, which I found strange. I'm not opposed to helping, but when I'm paying for a service like this I expect to be able to relax and be taken care of. The quality of the nails was also very poor. They are extremely bendable and feel fragile, like they could break at any moment. I asked for a neutral color, but the result is almost completely see-through. At one point the technician even called the boss to ask how to fix the nails, and they ended up putting polish underneath the nails. There was also nail glue all over my fingers. I still left a tip, but overall I left feeling disappointed. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend this place. read more

I didn't realize how many bad pink and white nail jobs I had had. At Serenity, they turn out beautiful every time and last for several weeks. First of all the salon is impeccably clean and the staff masked up, very polite and prompt. Now let's get into the reflexology pedicure I had that blew my mind! My technician Jolie (the miracle worker) went over my calluses 3 times!! Between each time, reapplying lotion. If I could do less than 1 star, I would. I went in for a 3pm appointment that was 30 minutes delayed, and when I left my wallet was nowhere to be found. I lost my IDs, credit cards, debit cards, $150 cash, among other cards. It was in my cap in the waiting area. I thought I brought it with me to the pedicure area, but must have forgotten. When I went back to check, all personal belongings were there, except for my wallet. I asked owner about the camera in the waiting area and she just shook her head. She told me that if i don't want it lost I shouldn't have left it there in the first place. The shop showed very little interest in helping. I filed a police report. When the police came to investigate, he was told the camera - that watched area where my wallet was left - happened to be turned off. I don't know if it was a customer or a staff who took it. There were 10 people there and whoever took it must have intentionally done so since my other less valuable items remained untouched. Went there 4 times so far before this - all the other times were fine and left little impression on me, negative or positive. But after this time, I now am in a position where I'm writing my first yelp review. Also if anyone knows where my wallet is, I will pay you. Picture is of my undone nails. Well, I went here through the Summer.. major warning.. I tried a person other than the owner - Tiffany. Bad experience- he wrapped my gel nails but removed early, with electric grinder...making my nails thin!!! Emily was awesome! I went in for a gel pedi after beating my feet up camping and being on the river. They were a mess! She made them beautiful again and was really sweet. I also arrived about 30 min before closing and she got me in no problem. I'm really sensitive to chemical odors, which is why it's nice to come in towards the end of the day. But, it would be nice if they waited until customers are gone before they mop (it was a really strong odor). I understand it being the end of the night and wanting to finish side work and go, but being aware of how that affects customers is important... especially if trying to create a "serene" environment. I was visiting family in Colorado when I came across this beautiful nail salon. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by friendly staff. I don't usually get my nails done so I was a little hesitant, but they were very helpful and patient. My nails came out perfect and I was extremely happy with the service. Hello, DO NOT get Acrylic Nails done here! They did a HORRIBLE job! I went in for a fill and after 1 hour 1/2 guy doing them finished they were soooo bad. Thick, thin areas, not filled correctly nail color was blotchy. DO NOT GO TO SERENITY ! They only take cash and do not let you know that when you make appt. They also take you back late. read more

First time there was pleasant. I walked in and only had to wait 5 or 10 minutes in order to get a fill on acrylics with gel polish. I think I came in on the back end of an appointment so it was nice. Interior is beautiful. Tiffany did an incredible job on the shape and edges of my nails after I told her about someone at another salon doing a terrible job a few weeks before. It was a lot cheaper here than at the other salon I went to, which was great. We didn't talk a whole lot, which is ok with me, I don't mind the quiet. I appreciated the fact that they were playing piano covers of Disney songs over the speakers, which was really nice! They were also able to squeeze my boyfriend in for an hour long full body massage a couple hours later. They were running a special for a great price, so i couldn't pass it up. Hopefully they will keep up the nice service and skills on the nails. I hope they will stick around in riverwalk for a while. It's nice to have a decently priced salon that does a good job close by. The interior design of the salon was really nice and modern. The spa chairs are very roomy as well. There was piano music playing in the background, creating a very relaxing ambiance in the shop. The nail technicians were very welcoming and friendly throughout our visit. We were greeted by Tiffany, who worked on my friend's nails. She was extremely happy with her acrylic nails. My nails were done by Derron, who made me feel very comfortable and did a great job on my nails as well. A friend recommended Serenity Nail and I had a wonderful experience. The salon is spacious, clean and the chairs are fantastic. The massage chairs are wide so you can really relax and they are not on top of each other. Most importantly, they do dipping powder manicures and Tiffany does a bang up job! My real nail broke from the cold weather and Tiffany repaired the nail (at no extra cost) so that we didn't have to shorten all my nails (that's the worst!). I've had dipping powder done at a few salons and Tiffany is by far the best. She's meticulous with the shape, smoothness and thickness and had a few tricks I've never seen. She even offered to order my favorite dipping powder brand and color. I'll definitely be back. :-) What great service and my nails have never looked better! read more
