Great music, fun atmosphere and friendly people! We came to see the Jive Aces and they were well worth seeing! We enjoyed every minute.

He was incredibly kind and personally made sure we were taken care of throughout the night. We especially appreciated that he kept us informed on how we were doing against our minimum spend and made sure we were well served the entire evening. That level of attentiveness made the night feel easy and well managed from our side. The music and overall energy were great, and the club was packed well beyond the 50 plus guests we brought into the reserved section. It felt lively, celebratory, and like exactly the kind of place you want for a wedding after party. The staff was welcoming, service was strong, and the atmosphere carried the night forward in a really fun way. We would absolutely recommend Copa for anyone looking for an upbeat Palm Springs after party venue.

I had found COPA through an online search for large groups, and to be fair, that's exactly what it is. We got the free tickets so had to arrive by 10, and it seemed like from 9-10 they had a bachelorette party focused hour where hired male dancers went around and danced with the bride to bes. We saw this from outside, and were already a little wary. Inside, the space is pretty small and the transition to multiple bridal party groups sitting down to a makeshift dance floor was pretty awkward - there were rows of seats lining the dance floor area. Once the DJ got underway and the dance floor formed, it was pretty fun! They played old school hits for the most part that we remembered from high school and college. It felt very comfortable as we were surrounded by a sea of other bach parties. It seemed like a bit of a pay-to-play situation - certain brides would get taken up on stage to dance, and it seemed like the ones who had paid for the VIP experience beforehand. We ended up heading out around midnight to see if we could find something with a bit more local ambiance and less bach parties, but appreciated the music and comfortable ambiance.

I have to say... the standout of the night was the TJ's Forbidden Flame…read more It's one of those drinks that hits you in layers--smooth, a little bold, just the right amount of tropical without being overly sweet. You take one sip and immediately get it. By the second, you're already planning to order another. There's something about it that feels intentional... like it wasn't just made, it was crafted. Balanced, elevated, and honestly unforgettable. If you go, this is the drink. No question. It's not just good--it's the one you'll be talking about after you leave. Thank You Bootlegger Tiki the number one spot to go and

We came here two nights in a row to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday, and I'm honestly torn…read morebecause we had two completely different experiences. **Night one** was great. The drinks were strong and well-made, and even though the place was packed, our waitress stayed attentive and checked in with us consistently. It's clear they specialize in more elaborate cocktails, so a bit of a wait is understandable. The ambiance is also a highlight--dark, intimate, and really leans into the tiki vibe. **Night two** was the complete opposite. We accidentally mixed up our reservation time, but since the place was nearly empty, we were seated right away, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. We had a different waitress, and despite being one of only a few parties there when we arrived, we waited **45 minutes** without seeing our drinks--while other groups seated after us were already being served (and even getting second rounds). We eventually had to flag down our waitress, who had hardly checked on us at all. When we asked about the delay, she said they were "very busy,". After mentioning how long we'd been waiting, there wasn't any real apology--just visible annoyance. She told us our drinks were "up next," but after another 20 minutes passed with nothing, we decided to leave after over an hour of waiting. It was disappointing, especially after such a positive first experience. A simple apology or some communication would have gone a long way. Sadly, the inconsistency makes it hard to know which version of this place you're going to get.

Duper glad we chose Shanghai Reds again. The lobster bisque is back to being fabulous and there were plenty of tender lobster chunks and the bisque was just delicious. We just ordered fish tacos - and they were absolutely fabulous! Note - they are big, so keep that in mind. Hand dredged and so wonderful! The slaw was delicious as well- just the right amount of creamy and quite flavorful. The garlic cheese bread - I could take not or leave it. Perfectly cut to bite size pieces that we dipped in the bisque but no garlic flavor. I'm ok with that tho. So Shanghai Reds is back in the "go to" rotation. Lovely experience!

They were singing the praises so much that we thought our friends might be over-selling it, maybe setting us up for disappointment. They were not. Shanghai Reds was the absolute best! Food, ambience, service, everything was fantastic. Prior to our trip, I was studying the menu. The Grilled Lamb Chops appetizer jumped off the page, and of course, I had to try the Fish Taco of which the late Chef/Author Anthony Bourdain said, "The fish taco here is truly extraordinary". We arrived in Palm Springs on a Friday late morning and left on Sunday morning. We visited Shanghai Reds twice. Between the four of us, this is what we enjoyed. *World Famous Baja Fish Taco Fresh Alaskan cod, beer-battered, then fried to perfection. "The fish taco here is truly extraordinary..." Anthony Bourdain I don't know that I agree that it was truly extraordinary, but it was f*ckin good! Large filet, perfectly battered, fried and dressed. *Grilled Cajun Lamb Chops Lightly seasoned, Cajun-style. A pile of six perfectly grilled chops. The mint sauce served with them was phenomenal. "The grilled lamb chops here are truly exceptional". -- Pete T. Get the lamb chops! They are a must! *Pasta Diablo Sautéed shrimp and mushrooms in a "special spicy sauce" with linguine alfredo. Uh-mazing! Spicy goodness! Lots of shrimp in the spicy sauce. Delicious! *Stuffed Mushrooms Filled with a mixture of crab and cream cheese, broiled and topped with an imperial sauce. These were the things that dreams are made of! *Steamed Clams (Seasonal) steamed in a delicious white wine, garlic and butter sauce. These were fantastic! Maybe not the best I've ever had, but close! *Bacon Jalapeno Cheese Bread Cheesy, jalapeño goodness. *Ray Ray Sauce and Bread Wonderfully toasty. crusty bread with a cup of garlicky Ray Ray Sauce. I had leftover sauce and ate it with the oyster crackers that came with my lobster bisque. *Lobster Bisque Among the best I've had. Rivals that of World Famous back in Pacific Beach, San Diego. *Clam Chowder Thick, creamy and delicious. Service was outstanding. The atmosphere was great. The chefs cooking right in front of you. Lots of bar seating and dining room seating. The outdoor patio was great with live music. Room for dancing too. Shanghai Reds is more than a restaurant. It's an experience.
