I hadn't had a manicure in several years. I decided to try a newish place, Jazzi's Nails, on Elm St. in Milford, since it's very convenient. The manicure was not nearly as professional as I used to have, in Massachusetts or NH. But, the work done by a young man there, doing my cuticles, was exceptionally well done! He was meticulous, gentle and cared about doing a great job. He is clearly someone, in my opinion, who can do well in this field. I hope he learns while he's at Jazzi's and then moves on to a more sophisticated group of peers in another salon. read more

If I could give -100 stars, I would. I got an acrylic set done here not too long ago. The tech sliced right into my cuticle with the drill and just kept going. My finger was swollen for days. She touched it bare handed, put the brush with powder directly on it, rubbed oil and lotion all over it, and actually filed it when filing my nail. An open wound that was bleeding. She didn't even stop to clean anything. Also the quality of the nails were horrible. She did not file down the back of them and barely checked to make sure they were even. I will not be going back to this business and I do not recommend it to anyone looking! I was charged over $50 for the set. Not worth it! read more

The best part about this place was the dog. They were rude and unprofessional as well as just bad. They cut my daughter and I multiple times, did not do my color thick enough, and left many crooked and uneven nails on my daughter. In addition, the prices listed on the website are not what you actually pay. I was upcharged $7 and my daughter $10. They made rude comments about my daughter's nail beds and her desired length and did not give either of us the shapes we requested. I am unsure if they simply do not care or are just untalented. The women in here are rude, they don't seem like they want any customers ever, and they rush to get you out. I made an appointment online last Saturday for a gel acrylic refill and a regular polish pedicure. I had an appointment at 11:30 am so I set my appointment for 9:30 am (the earliest appointment I could make) when I got to my appointment at exactly 9:30, she asked me why i was there, I responded telling her I made an appointment online for 9:30 for a refill and a pedicure. She loudly sighed walked over and told me to pick a color and pointed in the direction of all the polish. I chose my colors and let her know I was ready. When she was bringing me to the table I quickly asked if I could get my pedicure first so it could dry while I got my nails done, 2 of them rudely said no we can't do it right now you're gonna have to wait or come back not sure why because when it was time for me to get my pedicure another older woman came from the back. So I said okay and sat down. I had a cut on my pinky underneath the nail so I asked if it would affect her work and she said in a very annoyed tone i don't know do I look like a doctor? I just stared at her I was so shocked. Not only did she rush through my nails but none of them dried correctly and if you know anything about gel it drys under uv light it WILL NOT dry like regular polish. The top coat was dry but everything underneath is still wet and now. 6 days later most of it has chipped off. The first few times I came here I had wonderful experience but I also had a different nail tech do my nails, I've seen her before but I've never seen her in a chair I'm assuming she's the owner of some sort but regardless she just lost a new customer. Awful experience. I could have done my nails better myself. The edges are so jagged. I asked for her to try and smooth it out and she freaked out and started yelling at me in Vietnamese. She refused and then called the other ladies over to see and in the process one of them smudged two nails and only then would she fix it. The photo is the other foot, and it looked better than one I asked her to fix and it still looks awful. She barely removed any dead skin. I would have loved to upgrade my pedicure if that was an issue, but she never asked and she was pissed I didn't want gel polish on my toes. I have been to this salon three times and each time the experience got worse. I kept telling myself not to go back but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. This last time was the final straw. I booked an appointment the day before. I showed up on time and alerted the staff of my appointment. They looked like I was inconveniencing them for showing up at all. I sat and waited for 30 minutes past my appointment time for my pedicure to start (granted, they did have me soak my feet but with plain water - no fragrance). My pedicure was very rushed. It was clear my callouses needed to be filed down but the technician just rubbed them with the buffing tool for less than 10 seconds each foot. They looked the same after my pedicure as they did when I walked in. When it came time to pay, I was directly asked for a tip (umm.. RUDE!) Not only were they aggravated that I didn't bring cash with me for the tip (not many establishments are accepting cash right now during COVID) but they scoffed when they realized that my tip amounted to 23% of the bill. I guess 23% tip is not enough anymore.....? Especially for mediocre service, AT BEST! I left there feeling insulted and embarrassed. I will be taking my business elsewhere, even if it means driving an extra 10 minutes. The owners may want to assess the way they treat their clients or they will be left with no clients at all. read more

This salon is a great location for me. I have been twice and it went from OK to worse! First time the pedicure was OK- not great not horrible. The pedicurist double dipped into a container containing a scrub product used on my legs. This not a hygienic practice. The second time she drew blood while trimming a cuticle and told me it was an ingrown toe nail. As the conversation continued she then said I was bleeding because it was dry skin she removed. She is now conversing in her native language with two other women employees. The polish application was rushed and seemed like it was thin. I received no apology. I won't be back. read more

Well, not only did we have to wait 20 minutes, but they rushed the mani pedis again and kept pushing gel polish on our toes. Never have I gotten gel on my toes, and never will I. I am relatively new to the area and stopped in here for a quick nail service. The owner/person sitting in the first desk right behind where you pay was extremely rude. Not only did she not care about earning my future business after telling her I did not have a go-to salon in the area yet, she was very snippy about everything I said, her tone was like she was speaking to a misbehaving child, and she very obviously just did not care. The nail technicians are very unprofessional. They pull on your hand hard multiple times if you're not doing what they want. They don't say anything. The last time I almost got up and left. I know for a fact that they were speaking about me and my mother because I can translate some words. I have now been there a total of four times and every single time I've had some kind of bad experience. I really wanted to give it a chance since it's not even five minutes from my house. I thought it'd be nice to pop in for a pedicure to mostly rub my feet and legs. Im looking for a new local place. When i got there, it was nice but not kept well. Tidy and likely clean in the direct location they are working in, but everything had a thick layer of dust or slop splash. My pedicure was uneventful. Because my nails were in good shape, it took her less than 10 minutes to complete the entire pedicure. This is an extra for most people. I had no spa experience. On their website, it states you can pick your scent or products, but that was not an option given, and i disliked the scent of their products. I could have exfoliated and lotioned better myself. I was disappointed in the massage, which nearly didn't exist. When she got to the polish, i was too annoyed to stick around, so i just left. $35 for 15 minutes of waiting and a 15 min pedicure. AND, THE DOG! If i wanted to listen to dogs bark or trip over them, i would own one myself. I do not go to a place to relax and pay to be annoyed by their dog. read more

Brought my young daughter here for her 1st manicure, acrylic nails, gel coat, design..the works. Was very pleased with results, my daughter was happy. We were told nails last 2-3 weeks. 3 days later..a nail fell off..then another, and another! One week later, all the nails fell off!! $45 treatment..gone. Today was my first time here with my friend. The place was bright clean and the ladies were nice. my french manicure came out okay, my white tips were thin and you could see my natural white tip under. My friends came out horrible. Her feet were nice looking but her nails did not look professionally done, I am not a rude person but I could have done better. She asked for acrylic nails and the girl just went on painting? Only two salons in NH are listed as a SNS nails salon. This is the colored "dipping" powder. The process has to be done correctly. This experience was horrible and the tech, Nina, said she really did not like it. She blamed the failures (spending an hour trying make one nail dry correctly) were the fault of the product. I called the CEO of the company and all of the powders are alike. The process has to be precise. Nina insisted on putting Sellac top coat with UC light on the color. This peeled off the next day. The following day I went back to get my money back, and she refused. I will never return. I ended up going back to the original salon and having my nails done by the tech who was on vacation before. This process does not use light is does not permeate the room with harsh chemical odors. Few people do it, but the powder color holds up better and does less damage. Filene's Nails is not a class act. They said they would repair the nails, but having spent an hour two days before, I did not have all day. It's the technician's problem and not the product. I find this to be a problem with nail salons; they never admit to ever making a mistake or being careless in their work. Maybe it's cultural, but it is a problem. They refused to refund my money back and I will tell everyone I see to not go there.I will inform the BBB of their bad behavior. read more

This place is right around the corner from my house so I decided to give it a try with my young daughter the other day. The women seemed irritated and inconvenienced to say the least. They barely spoke any English but felt free to converse amongst themselves the entire time without even looking up at patrons. The lady burned my nail to the point of me wincing and saying "ow!" and all I got was a glare and eye roll. When another lady was ready to paint my daughter's nails, instead of speaking to me she came up behind me and slapped my arm to get my attention. On top of all that, the job they did filling my acrylic was AWFUL - very thick and sloppily done. One chipped and another broke off altogether within five days. On top of all this, it was the week of CHRISTMAS! Come on people!!! Too expensive as well. Will never return. read more

I decided to give them a try since my salon is in Amherst and this one was closer to my house. AWFUL! Gave them 3 opportunities, last one was today. The place is owned by 3 sisters but only one of them has any competence to do your nails. They charge you 40 dollars for a Deluxe pedicure, in which they wrap a horrible gel around your legs that goes in super hot and gets super cold in 5 minutes - you just feel like yanking the towels off after 3 seconds. My toe nails were cut too short on one foot and not so on the other, so if you look at them, they look like they belong to 2 different people. My gel nails were a disaster after another. The first time, because the se was done by someone else, they bashed it (I only needed a fill) and said that I MUST remove the whole thing and put in a new set. Hmmm. ok. The set she put in was so thick, I gained weight. The nails were uneven and she did not take the time to clean underneath them so all the gel "stored" there stayed. Two weeks later, I go back there, they give me the SAME line - that I needed a new set because the one I had was BAD. When I reminded her SHE was the one who did it, she came out with "your nails grow too fast" line. I insisted on a fill rather than a full set and asked her to fix what she had done to start with. At the end, not only the nails were AGAIN sloppy and terrible, she had the nerve to charge me for a fiull set $35.00 instead of the $18.00 for a fill because she "had to fix too much". Unbelievable!!!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Ah and they get mad if you include the tip in the cc payment - they don't want to pay taxes on it. NEVER AGAIN! read more

I would recommend staying away from this horrible place. When the owner is in the shop the service is decent and staff are friendly. However I made the mistake of making an appointment when the owner was out giving birth and what a nightmare! The staff was more than rude and were disgusted because they had to stop what they were doing to take a customer with an appointment. Honestly, I used to not like this place when it was "Filene's Nail Salon", but after hearing about their new location I thought I would give it another chance. I was very surprised! It has improved 100 times! All these negatives reviews should be removed and start over. They have made many improvements and definitely deserve another chance. They have kept their utensils clean and not using the same file or scrub on the same feet! They also have new pedicures to enjoy! A very clean place I must say. Also I've been reading one review where she asked for her money back. I would like to say that if there is already service and work done to you already, there should be no refunds. You know there are a lot of other places and online orders where there is no refund. So stop complaining and if you don't like it then I'm sorry, but I honestly thought it was very immature to include that statement and shaming the salon just because she wouldn't give you your money back. If product is already used and money is refunded she just wasted inventory. No matter where you go there will always be good and bad experiences. Nail Salons are hard to be consistent especially when there are not a lot of employees to satisfy every customer. So definitely book an appointment before hand. I have been going here on and off for years. The last mani/pedi I had left me very dissatisfied. My nails were not cut right and look very round when I asked for square. There are numerous bubbles in my nail polish, which happens directly from the manicurist shaking the polish vigorously, or using the fan to dry your nails. Both which you are not supposed to do. I have had my nails done for over 20 years and I've never in my life a terrible experience and never have written a review. As I had not been to this place before I choose the basic pedicure. This seem to irritate the nail salon as they said that that one was not a good choice, and that it was quick and came with no massage. I still stuck with the basic $25 option. They then became annoyed when I turned on the electric massage for the chair. They said the electric massage in the chair was "a massage" and the basic comes with no massage. I said fine I'll continue although in the pamphlet it said comes with a foot massage. Then the woman was very quick and hurtful and her movements poking my feet carelessly and started to insult me saying I had a foot fungus very loudly so everyone could hear. I actually have had surgery on my big toe as a horse ripped off my nail entirely when I was younger and I required sutures and surgery. I have been tested several times by a podiatrist and I do not have a foot fungus. They are not doctors but I took the insult quietly. My toe nail has been damaged from the injury. Then I asked if I could quickly file down a part of that nail that she refused to file down which they always do another nail salons to "round out the shape". They then turned off the electricity to the chair massage saying "you get only $25 massage foot service and we will not waste electricity on your $25 service you're sitting up we turn chair off". I was sitting up for no more than a minute. Throughout the entire experience although humiliating I did remain polite and calm. As I bent down to flatten part of the nail they refused to flatten with my own nail file they then asked me to leave. They stated for $25 not worth it.I think they realized they had gone too far and I was contemplating no tip although I am constantly a very good tipper. They said "you leave you leave you belong in a mental hospital." In no way was I rude and I have found them to be the most humiliating awful service ever. Beware order only the 35 or $40 treatment or you will be insulted beyond belief as you may be told it is "not worth it for me to give $25service." read more

I went there for a pedicure. They took so much skin off the bottom of my feet that I could not walk normal for 3 days. The bottom of my feet had purple spots because they were so raw. I talked to the manager about it. And she did not seem concerned and would not do anything about. I do not recommend anyone go here.
