Made an appointment at 11:30AM 1/2/2026, arrive at 11:27AM and was not sat in a chair until 12:15PM. Hanna got me back into her chair and started on my manicure, she roughly filed down my pre-existing regular nail polish and after I explained I wanted to keep the length of my nails regardless of the uneven appearance as I had a nail break and wanted to keep the other long while it grew. She proceeded to argue with me that the uneven length looks bad and that I should do a round shape. After explaining that is not what I wanted she insisted it would just "look better" and what I wanted wouldn't look good- my nails were not drastically different heights, one nail simply was broken and all the others were similar lengths. She then continued to insult my nails while rushing through her work and being sloppy, inevitably covering me in the nail polish she was carelessly removing then blaming it on me saying it was "too thick" - I put two thin layers of color on my nail then a top coat. She then proceeded to use the electronic file and gouge my nails, will update when I remove this material as I saw deep cuts into my nail from her heavy handed filing. She then proceeded to start laying the builder gel without any cuticle prep when there was still old nail polish all around my nails. While doing the color she continues to rush through it carelessly and gets color and builder gel all over my hands, proceeding to blame the other staff saying they don't put the colors away correctly even though the mess was due to her rushing and swiping the brush all over my hands. As you can see in the photos on the day it was done it already looks a week overgrown from rushed work with no attention to detail. All the nails are different shapes as well from carelessness. My cuticles are not done and you can still see the pink old nail polish leftover all around the sides and cuticles. Extremely disappointed for the money I paid. Went with my mother and she was also extremely disappointed in her nails. read more

I had to have them fix my pedicure a couple times from it not being painted fully on the toe and smudges even though I didn't even move after to let it dry. They gladly fixed it twice and then I paid and left. My toes were killing me for the next few days. Now it's been two weeks and my big toe has gotten pus and blood from an ingrown toenail they cut way too short. I will not come here again. Update: I had to see a doctor due to my toe getting a bacterial infection from this place. DO NOT GO HERE! Second Update: I got put on antibiotics at urgent care a week and a half ago. Today, 10/7, I had to see a podiatrist to get the infection and ingrown toenail cut out with a procedure where they numb my foot and rip it out. Would DEFINITELY NOT recommend going to Impulse Nails unless you want an infection and improper pedicures. read more

I had gone here and asked if I could get a basic gel pedicure without all the extras like hot stones, hot towels. etc. they said sure and proceeded to give them to me anyway. I paid the full price and gave them no issues. I came back a second time and asked the same thing and was very clear again, they gave me a hard time again. Both times they rushed through my pedicures and forced me to go through all the extras, which are not even worth the $50. When I tried to speak up the second time they made me feel so embarrassed. I just wanted a basic a gel pedicure! Other nail salons have done this for me with no issues, I'm not sure why they won't accommodate it here. I will not be back. read more

I decided to give this place a try because of all the great reviews and all the pics. I had the assumption that I was going to get a great pedicure and when seated it was with an older gentleman. The pedicure was nice and the aroma of lavender we chose was really nice. However, I should have paid more attention to what this guy was doing with my toes! After he finished I had polish all over my cuticles! I mentioned to him that there was polish as all over my cuticles. This is when he tried filing it off. WTH!! He then said he would take it off and do it again. So another 15 min and he repolishes and then files around my edges again. This pedi was not worth the $65 at all. I tried out this place yesterday and my experience wasn't good unfortunately. I made an appointment for 1:30 and waited for 30 minutes to see anyone which was okay bc they seemed busy. I waited and finally saw an older lady, she seemed nice at first but then she rushed my full set of acrylics in 30 minutes. They were uneven and super thick and she was really rough pulling my hands around and grabbing me. At one point she was putting my hands in from on a heater bc my hands were cold and this is what was causing the acrylic to look bad. I took my hands away from the heater and she kept telling me to put them back and under her breath said "Americans don't listen" this was crazy haha . She put large amounts of acrylic on my nails and then didn't file them well, she didn't buff them after so they were really sharp as well and some were way longer than others, I had to fix this at home. I'm not sure if this lady was just having a bad day but it's no excuse to treat paying customers this way. I still tipped her $10 and left but I will not being going back. Went and got a pedicure, the polish was put on so thick the nails would not dry despite waiting through a dip manicure while they dried. My tech told me to put my shoes on so I listened and they smudged. I asked them to fix it and they just painted over the smudged polish adding an even thicker coat. They told me I was free to leave immediately after and I asked to please sit under the UV light so that they would not smudge again. Waited 15 minutes under the light, my technician left the salon and drove away and my toes never dried. Leaving the salon unhappy and with nail polish I now have to remove myself before an event that I got them painted for in the first place! read more

Two weeks ago, I went here for the second time with my mom. The first time was okay and I got some acrylics that lasted a month, though it wasn't perfect because the polish had a lot of imperfections. I didn't mind too much though because you could only see it up close. However it made me feel super uneasy being there the first time because they played Chris Brown the WHOLE time. As a domestic violence survivor, hearing all of his songs it made me feel physically sick the whole hour I was there. They probably just didn't know but I hope in the future they consider to play a little less of this known abuser's music. Despite that I still would've given 4 stars, however... Then a couple weeks ago we came back since it was the closest place to my apartment to go to. So my mom got a pedicure and a manicure and I got pastel yellow to pink ombré dip acrylic nails. First of all I don't understand why the guy decided to begin with the pink instead of the yellow, pretty sure it would've made way more sense to start with the yellow? by the time he got the yellow he was struggling so much trying to get it to cover up the peachy shade in the middle. The yellow looked so bad, I didn't really care though, because I am a pretty flexible customer. They still looked pretty enough... However, while he was initially prepping my nails for the dip colors, I noticed that some of my nails were not glued on enough and were already starting to come off. When I mentioned it, he didn't say anything because of course he was too busy taking calls the entire time. Eventually he finished up and we left $20 tips for each of our nail techs, even though the person who did my mom's pedicure messed it up and it needed to be fixed not once, but twice, by two different people! We already decided we weren't gonna be coming back here, but it only solidified that decision when on Thursday, what like three days later, after paying almost $100 total for my nails, my index finger nail already popped off. I tried re-gluing it myself but it just wouldn't last. After a few days of trying to glue it back on, it fell off within hours each time so finally I gave up. $100 for my nails to look halfway decent for not even four days is a joke. Anyways, I realized on the fourth day after that happened, that eight of my 10 nails were already loose, coming up at the base of my nail, clearly not properly glued on. I kept getting them caught in my hair or getting threads from my clothing caught in them. I have been trying my best to just leave them there so that they don't get more messed up but they keep falling off! I don't recommend this place whatsoever. I will be sticking with my tried and true place in Concord, Paull Nails on Main st. They actually are nice, know how to properly execute the most expensive nail service on their menu (the ombré nails) and truly know what they're doing! read more

LOVE this place! I've been to nail salons all over the country and let me tell you it's been a doozie finding one I like in NH. A friend recommended Impulse, so I decided, "what's the worst that could happen?" NOTHING! It was SPECTACULAR! I went in on a Saturday morning and to my surprise they were fairly quiet, BONUS for me, and I asked for a Dip Manicure, I was seated right away. Everyone spoke crystal clear English (this isn't a breaker for me if the artists don't, I grew up in an Asian dominant city, so accents don't bother me much, but I know others will appreciate that aspect) The woman who did my nails was so sweet and didn't push me to shape my nails in any particular way (which was a FIRST for me, I love my natural shaped nails, even though they aren't the same and aren't "perfect") I will definitely be making this my go to place from here on out read more

Worst salon I've been to. I was in town visiting and had time to kill so I thought I'd get my nails done. I got a classic pedicure and a gel manicure. My nail tech cut my toes and my fingers several times to the point where I started bleeding and it was painful when he pushed my cuticles back. This is my third time coming here, all three times getting the dip powder. The first time I went, it was great! The last two times I had gotten Hannah and I have not been happy with my nails. If you don't want the crazy long nails with intricate designs he doesn't seem to want to devote that much attention to you. I haven't been happy with my nails the past few times I've gone. Yesterday I went here and got my nails done, and they didn't do a great job pushing the cuticle back, which shortens the length of time that they will last before needing to be redone or taken off. I sat through one whole appointment, with which the nail art looked horrible, and then another technician redid the drawings on the nails. After spending so much time there, I did notice that not all of the nail technicians were bad, but unless you know who to go to, it is luck of the draw. If I could give this place a 0 I would. This place used to be great. I have been going there for over 5 years and each time my experience gets worse and worse. Hannah rushed through my mani/pedi (she did then both in 45 minutes) and they both came out terrible. My toes and nails started chipping the next day and I paid more for the gel. She also was super rude to me when I asked for a specific color that she had to get up and get. They book their appointments too close together and make people wait so long for the service. The prices are getting higher and higher and I will never go back there again. I would suggest they make some changes before I recommend their business ever again. read more

Scheduling my appointment was a breeze because they are open 9-7 which accommodates most work schedules, and I was seen within 3 minutes of arrival. Though many reviews mentioned Jimmy, my appointment was with Andy and I absolutely could not be more pleased. I opted for powder dip with a simple design (courtesy of Pinterest) and Andy knocked it out of the park! Very gentle touch and pleasant personality. The place was clean and neat and very quiet. My technician was young but very focused. I showed him exactly what I wanted and he did just that.
