They give me the best mani-pedis out of anywhere I go-that's why I always come when I'm in town. They do a better job than most Manhattan salons I've been to at a much better price. They even offer me wine or tea during my service. This place is highly recommended by all my friends here - unfortunately, the only people who have chosen to review them on Yelp have been the few negative experiences. I honestly can't wait to come back next time I'm in town!

A friend recommended Impulse, so I decided, "what's the worst that could happen?" NOTHING! It was SPECTACULAR! I went in on a Saturday morning and to my surprise they were fairly quiet, BONUS for me, and I asked for a Dip Manicure, I was seated right away. Everyone spoke crystal clear English (this isn't a breaker for me if the artists don't, I grew up in an Asian dominant city, so accents don't bother me much, but I know others will appreciate that aspect) The woman who did my nails was so sweet and didn't push me to shape my nails in any particular way (which was a FIRST for me, I love my natural shaped nails, even though they aren't the same and aren't "perfect") I will definitely be making this my go to place from here on out

Extremely disappointed and frustrated with this experience. I booked a full wax appointment online…read moreand received multiple text confirmations, so there was absolutely no reason for me to believe my appointment wouldn't be honored. This was not just a casual appointment. I specifically scheduled it for the day before surgery because my doctor required me to have the waxing done beforehand. On top of that, it's a holiday weekend, and I drove an HOUR in holiday traffic to get here--only to arrive and find that no one showed up for my confirmed appointment. No phone call. No text. No cancellation. Nothing. If a business allows customers to book appointments online and then sends multiple confirmations, the customer should reasonably expect someone to actually be there. Now I've wasted two hours of driving, have surgery tomorrow, and am left scrambling at the last minute to find someone else who can accommodate me on a holiday weekend. Completely unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional. I would not recommend relying on this business for anything time-sensitive or important.

But this was my first time looking to get my nails done here. First off, they have quality customer service. There were only two employees working at the time, Tony and another woman. It was a Friday around 4:30pm and nearly six other people came in behind me. It was very busy and waited nearly 35 mins, but I am happy with the outcome. Tony took care of my nails. I got a shellac manicure and since I waited a significant amount of time he did a little extra to my nails, for free, by adding a salon quality gel base to harden my nails. It would've cost me $40 bucks. He also asked me if I wanted my cuticles cut, which I appreciate. Not everyone wants their cuticles cut. They had a variety of nail polishes for manicures, but a small selection of colors for gel/shellac. They also need more staff. That's really the only negative that I found. Definitely check them out!
