Third time trying this salon since it's close to my house. I had a full dip set put on Saturday @ 3, by Sunday @12 2 nails had broken off where the tip was applied, this morning another broke. I've been wearing long nail enhancements (either acrylic or dip) for the last 20 years and have never had 3 nails break so quickly, especially on a new set. I was also charged $60 when the website is listed $50 and I paid $50 for the same service the time prior. Won't be trying again. read more

not a fan. when I left looked at my nails my thumb nail was absolutely crooked. didn't have time to have it fixed so I dealt with it. it's been one week since my gel manicure. I don't do any manual labor or dishes and today this is what I got. Gel has always lasted much longer than one week! although close to home I think I'll be going to my original nail salon. read more

Customer since they opened. Owner Lena services are just awful because she is only there for the money. My dip on my own nails so thick and lumpy looked awful complained while getting them done, her comment was I should get acrylic set dip over them so it would look good. Are you kidding me, they fell off in under a week, I went there showed her and she laughed. What is worse is that my friend who understands their language stopped going there because Lena talks bad about her clients, making fun of them.... Was not worth the $55 I paid for nothing, but to be insulted by Lena! Everyone boycott this nail salon! read more

I don't get a manicure and pedicure often, but last week I visited Lavish Nail for a little pampering. One of the complaints I've always had at Lavish Nail is the fact that the women doing your nails speak to each other in their native language and I find that annoying. Are they talking about their clients and laughing? My manicure was done on Friday and by Monday my nails were chipping. No, I didn't do any housework that might have caused this, and I felt that I had wasted my money. Lavish Nails is not a place I will go to again. read more

The atmosphere in this salon is great! It's clean, organized, they have great choices of colors, and lots of services. Nail techs are friendly. I love the acrylic fill I received! Prices are a little higher than I'm used to. The salon remains very clean, staff are super nice & they're one of the only places around that use low temp wax! After being burned at another salon I'm comming back to Lavish for wax. Had to find a new salon to get nails done. This one is walking distance but I'm always nervous switching salons. I've actually been coming here on and off since they opened and they've been great except for their time management. I'm sitting in the pedicure chair right now writing this review. I booked an appt for 9:00 am for a pedi and mani and have been sitting in the pedicure chair for 30min with no tech. My feet have been soaking in plain water and now the water is room temp. The tech actually just came over to start my pedicure and added stuff to the water. Good thing I don't have anywhere to go after this or I'd be late. I'm always on time for the appts I schedule I expect the same in return. Like I said they do a great job on the services they provide but need some serious work on their time management. I hope they don't rush through it because I scheduled some "me" time for some relaxation after a stressful couple of months. read more

The people are very nice and I was able to get in right away for a gel/acrylic powder manicure with a tip. First, if you've been to Glossy Nails in Bedford, this is not the same "dipping powder" manicure that they have. It's a gel polish dipped in powder so you still need to put your hands under the UV. There were a few problems with my nails where I probably won't be returning. I got a sparkly half moon manicure. 1) Along the edge of the polish where she cleaned up the line with acetone there's a weird band that catches the light and stands out on the nail (I'll add a photo) 2) I asked for oval nails but because of the powder and the dipping, it added a lot to the width of the nail that she didn't clean up so the shape is off. They look more like bishop's hats than ovals. 3) My thumb nail polish split and cracked after one day. There are other spots where she filed but didn't clean off the powder and now the polish is lifting off. 4) The line on my other thumb nail is crooked read more

I went here a couple weekends ago and the girl gave me a great pedicure. Went back a week later and a guy here did my nails with dip. It just didn't seem sanitary... using a used nail file and not cleaning the station after the person before me. This was my first time getting dip... I've heard it's supposed to last longer. I've been going here for well over a year now. I have had a great experience with my technicians who are always friendly and very helpful and do a great job. The only reason why I cannot give 5 stars is because of the younger girls who sit in the back at times and can get quite loud with their chatter. If this is truly a 'spa' type atmosphere, it should be relaxed and 'quiet'. I do hope that management can address this because it is disruptive. read more

I was visiting my family in town and my mom and sister wanted to get their nails done here so I joined in. We made appointments for Saturday 9am. We walked in and were taken care of right away. I got a pedicure (was actually a really great massage) and a gel manicure. I've had gel manicures a million times and I can honestly say they never last me more than a week because of peeling up or poorly done. This gel manicure has lasted me 2 full weeks so far ( I posted a picture as well showing the full 2 week grow out). I wish I remembered the technicians name that did my nails but my mother and sister are both still going strong with their nails 2 weeks later. The atmosphere is quiet, which may or may not be what you are looking for. But it looked and felt clean and simple inside. I'd recommend and also would return next time I am in town. read more

This nail salon actually does a very good job, however I was kept waiting almost an hour until someone was available to start my pedicure. I was waiting patiently with my feet in water. For awhile this was fine, but after an hour of this treatment you can imagine how uncomfortable this experience had become. I have neen a client here for about 4 years now and have always been basically satisfied. I had my acrylic fills with a gel color(supposedly..I think they used regular polish..again) less than a week ago. I had a girls weekend coming up in the White Mts. The day after i got my nails done my thumbnail chipped and I had tine to get fixed before I left. They fixed it no charge. I get to my destination and my thumbnail started to peel.. as seen I was like over a hundred miles away I went to a salon there and have them fix it of course I couldn't match the color so I just did it gold cuz I like that sort of thing and lo and behold the next day my other thumb nail started to peel so on Sunday I stop by there on my way home and had it painted gold. And then on Monday and Tuesday my other nail started to peel I couldn't make it in before today so I made the appointment to have them repainted. I go in and of course I have to choose another color I cannot oh and this isn't the first time it happened the first time they peeled off when I had a wedding to go to believe it they charged me for the polish change after all it was their defective polish that gave me stress I'm so upset about this I'm a good customer I spend a lot of money on my nails and plus I tip very well and they told me they had to charge me because I change the color I will never ever go back there because of this now and I advise you not to either because you'll get screwed also unbelievable I would never treat my clients that way ... I have been here 3 times and each time I have been happy! I have seen the same girl who calls herself Kelly. She is very nice, & professional. I have had a regular mani/pedi, & a gel mani/pedi. All were good, but the gel does wear off & start to chip after the 2nd week. I do not fault the tech, I think its the product they are using. I went to get a gel manicure and decided to also include a spa pedi. I have never had a better pedi, the massage portion lasted at least an hour, half hour for both legs and feet. It was awesome and worth the money! Going back today (2 weeks later) for another gel mani. After reading all the other great Yelp reviews, I scheduled a pedicure this past weekend and I was excited to try this place. My appointment was for 11 AM. I arrived five or so minutes early. When I arrived a gentleman asked me what he can do for me, and I let him know that I have an 11 AM appointment for a spa pedicure. He prompted me to sign in on the sign in sheet at the front host/hostess stand. No one came up or was stationed there. From 11-11:20 AM, after I picked a color and waited, I grew more and more annoyed because the people who work there simply ignored me and did not address me even when I reminded them I made an appointment. There were three nail techs and the gentleman who first addressed me did not speak to me again. I walked out! What is the point of making an appointment if they cannot honor them or at least apologize and/or ask me to come back in a few mins/half hour. Communication is key, and this nail salon lost my business. read more

I will never go back to this salon again. I was part of a wedding party of 8 people who went to this salon Saturday. They were nice and opened the salon early however the actual manicures were terrible. The women had to re-do my gel manicure because it was completely bumpy and streaky and looked horrible. I paid for 3 people and it came to $222 before tip. Then 3 hours after leaving the salon my gel nails chipped. I called and they basically told me there was nothing they could do and that they would not refund me. Two days later the brides gel acrylic nails and my nails had chipped even more. I have never had gel nails chip in less than a week or two let alone less than a day. This was completely ridiculous for the amount of money that our bridal party paid at this salon. I cannot say enough about this salon! I have been coming here for about a year and a half and have never had a bad experience. Very bright, clean and not cluttered at all. All the staff is friendly even if they don't speak a lot of English they are still gracious. Kelly does my nails each time and creates some very nice artwork. Recently I switched over to the nail dip system and I am extremely pleased. The nails will last a good 3 plus weeks with no nicks, chips or dulling and my nail bed is far healthier. The employees at Lavish did a really great job on my nails! However, it was very unfriendly there. After about 15 seconds of small talk I was asked to pay and pestered until I got my wallet out. Upon leaving the employees were sitting in the waiting area eating and talking. I said thank you and was ignored. Gave Lavish two tries. First time they did a nice job with the nails but not a good job with a design. And it also took a very long time. The second time again they did nice job with the nails but then they got busy and they couldn't do design(asked for it at beginning of apt) and I didn't get any cuticle work, no lotion on the hands nothing. I basically felt like I was shoo'd out so I'm pretty sure I won't be trying them again soon. Prices are higher than the there in area. read more
