Mid September, on a Friday evening (after closing time), I received a text requesting a copy of the insurance card and my appointment would be cancelled if I failed to respond in 72 hours. I called Monday to explain I already provided proof of insurance and they told me, "they needed my sencondary insurance", which I provided. My appointment was confirmed again. On the 17th I arrived 1/2 hour early to be told that in fact my appointment was cancelled and it was their fault, but I would need to reschedule and take another day off from work. If I need to wait 4 months and miss two days of work, I can afford to take my business elsewhere.

Everyone listened to my questions and concerns and provided answers that really helped me feel more comfortable. I really appreciated the surgical coordinator, Articia, who eased my mind and ensured my appointments were set up promptly. She was super great! Dr. Joseph Vojtko, aka "Dr. V," was very professional, caring, and you could tell he knew his stuff. He answered my questions before I could even ask them. THEY ALSO OFFEREED ANOTHER WAY; but I would need to pay out of pocket $5000. Dollars for.. I said, No. Another Eye Doctor gave me another option that they did not offer. They could do two different solutions; one for the left eye, one for my right eye. BEP DID NOT OFFER ME THIS OPTION. Dr. Williamson set me up for the Surgery. I told them that due to my bad Anxiety, I needed to wear my Wireless Ear Buds so I could use my wireless ear Buds. They said no, they would not let me do it. I Needed it due to my Bad Anxiety. They said NO!WHAT DOES WIRELESS EAR BUDS HAVE TO DO WITH EYE SURGERY. After arguing they finally said OK, reluctantly. Long story short, I had the Surgery. It seemed like a long process for many months. When I told them, when they asked me, I did not feel I got what I was expecting at all. I was told that my glasses would be ready in two weeks or sooner. After two weeks passed I called (7/7/2026) to check on my glasses. I was put on hold for an extended amount of time as they looked for my glasses in the shipment they just received and then told that the glasses should be ready next week (7/15/2026). I expressed concern that I was told they would be ready in two weeks, as I immediately suspected something was wrong. The person who spoke to let me know that glasses take 3 weeks and even if it was 2 weeks they were still within a 2-week timeframe because they "don't count weekends." This was an odd way to address my concern, but this must be how the practice operates. This may be something for new patients to consider. Once I get my glasses, I won't return to this practice as waiting almost a month for my glasses doesn't work for me. I would rather go somewhere else.

The service is okay, it's just the little things I tend to notice. The staff in the back that takes care of the initial vision assessments were okay. Dr.Etter, the new physician, is ok as well. Maybe being so used to an eye doctor who provided my vision care for over 30 years and is now gone is a difficult void for another doctor to fill for me at this time. All in all, I will continue to come here until a time I feel that I may need to move on to another provider.

I paid $200 out of pocket because they refused my insurance. And the dr wanted a follow up visit in a week. I contacted the front desk, got an appt for tomorrow, and asked what the expectation was and front desk told me $130 for follow up visits. I asked to speak with billing, reached the same Cindy, and from the very start of the call, she was interrupting me, yelling over me, extremely rude after I just wanted clarity on what the out of pocket expense is. I requested a supervisor, she claims she is the supervisor. And I said the way she speaks to people is inappropriate. She claimed I never provided insurance information. I gave the info to her in writing the day of. She had everything and I was forced to pay anyway. At this point, i asked her if she had any proof in writing she informed me she would bill my insurance, and she said no. Obviously not, because I paid. I asked to cancel the appt. She refused to cancel my appointment and decided to be petty and ask me for an email in writing stating I want the appointment canceled. I asked her why she needs an email and her response was "you asked me for something in writing so I'm asking you." That is the rudest associate I have ever encountered in my entire life, and I will never recommend this facility. You don't know how to speak to people and you shouldn't be working in billing.

The appointment process and check in was timely and easy. I felt from my first interaction with Dr. Stanchel, she was cold and off putting. It could have been a bad day for her but she never warmed up and made me feel cared for. I knew I would not return when she was untruthful with me. When she provided me with an updated prescription for my glasses and I asked her for my pupillary distance measurement because I order lots of glasses online and that is required. She told me she couldn't give it to me?? I was unsure why as it is needed to order any pair of glasses. It felt like the problem was I wasn't ordering her IMO over priced frames so instead of saying that, she said she didn't have it. Well how about get it? I have had multiple providers give me that information whether I was ordering glasses from them or not. If I had been ordering glasses with her that day how would that have happened without my PD and where would she get it from? I cannot support dishonesty.

The exam was thorough...a lot more so than I anticipated but I appreciated it. Nice frames to choose from and about a week for the glasses to come in. More expensive than I anticipated but I didn't have a good reference to work from. Even still, based off the experience, I'll be back. In fact, my husband needs an exam so we'll get around to that eventually w/ Dr. Stanchel. Only thing that would be nice is if we have the option to choose an appt online for the eye glass pickup.

My friend told me that she purchases her eyewear from Costco and it is very affordable. I decided to come take a look and to my surprise it is very cost-effective compared to the optometrist's office. I came on a Friday evening and surprisingly it was sparse. Baby Jane was very warm and personable. She was very patient and answered all my questions, which I had quite a handful. My optometrist prescribed me with occupational progressive lens. Baby Jane explained the type of lenses that Costco provides and gave me a breakdown of the pricing. I also needed a second pair of glasses for nighttime driving. She informed me that there was a promotion that if I purchased two pairs, I could get $50 off. She helped me find pairs that were suitable for my slender face. I learned that each pair of eyewear has the size on it. That was something new and will be helpful to know when I make purchases in the future. Despite the bad reviews that I read online, I was very pleased with the prompt and friendly service that I received today. I will definitely be making purchases here in the future assuming that I am happy with my new progressive glasses.
