This has been the most consistent and good Asian in the area. Whether grabbing sushi or Chinese food, it's always good and always fresh. I love grabbing takeout from here. Love the spicy tuna rolls. read more

So...ordered delivery the other night. Very fast, as usual. But the highlight was the food! The Chicken Skewers had large, meaty slabs of chicken in a light but very tasty sauce. The Tempura Appetizer tasted just like it should. And the ribs appetizer was sweet and bar-b- quey. And each item was less than $10.00. With a $4.00 tip and a very reasonable delivery charge, I had easily a meal and a half of delicious, out of the ordinary treats brought to my door for $35.00. That's about as good as it gets in this day and age, and I have ordered these same type of items from other Asian places in the area, and been less impressed. This place is in the upper echelon of such restaurants. read more

Jay Asian Bistro - Japanese Near Me - Cherry Hill, New Jersey

For asian food, the selection of this place is pretty huge and averagely-priced. Sushi was my favorite from here, with large rolls. The Chinese and Thai were just alright, though. I know some loyal customers of Jaysian, and they swear by everything. Ordered delivery by calling in and they dropped it off within an hour. read more

I LOVE Asian cuisine and decided to try a new place (take out) for lunch today. When i arrived my order was sitting by the register ! The orange chicken was dry , chewy, and was not flavorful. Normally, When I order fried chicken , I usually receive whole chicken wings but not today! This location provided wingettes that were over fried and hard!!! Needless to say! I did not eat my lunch. Very disappointing. read more

Jay Asian Bistro has become my sushi go-to in a world of many, many sushi places. The quality + variety + pricing make it a no-brainer. All of their sushi is solid quality. I love the buy 1, get 1 roll deal. You really cannot beat that. I love that they have a full Japanese, Chinese, and Thai kitchen. That makes it really easy to make sure everyone in the house is happy with the dinner choice. Their website can be a little finicking with the buy 1, get 1 but its also easy enough to give them a call. They handle their own delivery, which has always been timely and accurate. There are probably more fancy/gourmet options out there, but this is the perfect place for the tried, true and awesome. read more

I was in the mood for sushi and since we are all quarantined, I went online to find a place near me that I can order from and pick up. Jay Asian was available for pick-up and I picked them because my younger son doesn't eat sushi but loves lo mein and they had it on their menu. I ordered sushi, combo meals and lo mein. Went to pick it up, meal was on a chair right at the entrance ready to go. Food was warm, so good and I will def go back. read more

Jay Asian Bistro - a variety of food items - Japanese Near Me - Cherry Hill, New Jersey

So glad we discovered Jay's which is super close to home. It's our go-to for fast, inexpensive, good Asian food. We love the variety that they offer and have enjoyed everything we've gotten. The noodle dishes are delicious but sometimes can be a bit oily (like the pad see ew and drunken noodles), though I don't really mind that. They're always flavorful, packed with veggies, but never spicy so definitely ask for spice if you want your noodles to have a kick. They're huge portions and are always at least 2 meals for me! We also love the prices, and always use the BOGO sushi deals. The sweet potato roll is a family favorite of ours, and I recently discovered the oshinko avocado roll which was a pleasant surprise and is now one of my go-to's. Their curry dishes are also delicious. They're always packed full of veggies, come with a large portion of rice, and have a great flavor. Overall it's not the absolute best Asian food in the world, but it's quickly become our top choice. 5/5 regarding quality, price, portion sizes, and convenience! read more

No complaints... Trying the pineapple coconut fried rice, hubby is happy with his usual sweet n sour chicken, not too much breaking and crisp! And I have mapo tofu, a lil spicy kick in brown sauce. Nothing fancy but good! Byob is a plus, so bring ur bubbly! Service is great, although it is empty in here tonight, probably due to icy conditions outside! Buy one get one sushi... I will come back to try that! I saw lunch specials and bento boxes on the menu also! No complaints tonight! So a high five it is!!! They even turned up the heat a few notches for us lol! Forgot to post this months ago... read more

3.5 I have a standing Wednesday dinner date and we try to pick different places to try each week. This week I was feeling a bit iffy with a cold coming on, so we decided on take-out. I ordered the coconut curry soup with chicken, which was stated on my receipt but when I got home, it turned out to have shrimp instead. Just like Leo Getz says in Lethal Weapon 2, "Don't ever go through the drive through. They always F*CK you at the drive through!" I was ok with that in the long run but bottom line, the soup to me tasted a little thin. The spiciness helped clear my nostrils though. I also got the tempura platter. For about $5 or $6, I got a nice sampling of different veggies and 2 shrimp. So so so good. That dish redeemed the soup fiasco. I'd definitely go for that again. read more

for dinner were. After browsing on grubhub for a while we decided to once again order from Jays. The sushi is awesome! We tried the Yummy Roll and the White House Roll, the sushi rice is a awesome texture and the fish isn't oily and does not have a weird after taste. We also had 2 spicy tuna rolls and 2 salmon avocado rolls. The Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer is amazing! Normally bang bang shrimp are fried, which is ok but really heavy. This place grills their shrimp on skewers and gives the bang bang sauce as a mayo dip. Its a fresher flavor and works really well! On our previous we have gotten fried rice, dumplings, ramen ext. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be ordering from here again. This place is very similar to that really good corner mom and pop deli where they have a huge menu but bang out the dishes on it deliciously while also not breaking your bank. Our driver also gave us a tin of cookies because it was Christmas! I am not sure if he was from grubhub or the restaurant but it was extremely nice of him. read more

Not good sushi and sashimi. We ordered delivery. There were no problems with the service but the food was not worth it. Sashimi was cut into gigantic pieces and was barely able to fit into my mouth. The fish also seemed like it was completely unseasoned. Sushi had an odd taste to it, almost like they put splenda or something on it. Super weird and not something that I have ever tasted on sushi before. I couldn't finish it and I can't remember the last time that I didn't finish sushi that's wasn't an all you can eat place. I wouldn't recommend, especially when there are plenty of other options for sushi around. read more

first of all the driver delivered my order to the back of my condo building and left it on the ground. anyone of about 400 people in the building could have taken it. luckily I ran down and it was still there. after tasting it I wish someone would have. the soup was disgusting and the boneless spare ribs were so tough I couldn't even eat it. one and DONE for me. ugh!!! read more

I ordered delivery through their website, and after an hour I called to check on how much longer my order would be. The phone was off the hook. Here I am, two hours later, my card has been charged and my food still isn't here. I continue to try calling and the phone is not even connecting to the restaurant. I called around 9 pm (I ordered at 6) and got through, and am was asked if I could come pick up my order. No, please refund my money three hours later. The lady tells me someone called me. No they didn't. I call back Saturday as my card was still charged, and I wanted a refund that I deserved. I was screamed at and told that they were too busy to speak to me. Screamed at. Told never to order from here again? I'm sorry, you never delivered my order and are yelling at me because I want my money back? So the lady that screamed at me hangs up on me (very professional establishment here) and when I call back, I'm transferred to a child. Obviously there is nothing the child can do for me. I just want a refund. Why is this so hard? I ask to speak with the owner, and was told that they were too busy. I understand you're busy, but you need to refund the money you took from me. Cut to Sunday. The third day of asking for my money back. The same unpleasant screamer asks me five times where I ordered from. The kicker is that I ordered through their website. Starts screaming again "what do you want!!!" Ma'am, I want you to refund my money. Then some guy gets on the phone, and tells me not to order from them again. Lol!! This was my first time ordering and I certainly will not order from them again. I told this man that I would be reaching out to the CHPD if they didn't return my money, and he laughed and told me to go ahead. You stole money from me, and won't give it back.. why are you laughing? To sum up this review, this restaurant is absurd and I would never recommend. read more

Great place to please everyone in the family. Thai, Sushi, Chinese, poke bowls, lunch combo specials, ramen, etc. And buy 1 roll get 1 free.

Pretty good. Got sushi and tempura. Id go again. Delivery driver claims they arent given cash to make change which seems ridiculous and untrue read more

We have ordered from Jay Asian for years and is our go-to Chinese/Thai takeout place. We always order the Wonton Soup - lovely, soft pork dumplings in a flavored broth. Beef and broccoli, General Tso's chicken, pork lo mein are typically on our list. We also have the sushi - buy one, get one free is a sweet deal. We have also tried the currys and other items. Just wish they had shrimp toast! My girlfriend joined us once and every time she comes over she says wants to order from here. We have never had an issue with delivery. Often, if there is a question on the order, we get a call from them. We order online thru their link vs. GrubHub, etc. My only complaint is that I place notes that I do not want any cutlery, soy sauce, etc. but it still comes with the order. I try not to waste resources - oh well! read more

Jay Asian Bistro - Caterpillar roll is amazing! Loved the Snow Mountain Roll. - Japanese Near Me - Cherry Hill, New Jersey

For Thai food, these guys get 4.5 stars. Super good basil fried rice. Pad Thai and curries are all very well executed. Many Chinese dishes are not too my taste, being too sweet and one dimensional. I will say it is fresh and well prepared. Won ton soup is definitely a standout, though...with the most delicate won ton's around. read more

The vegetable dumplings are great! The buy one get one free sushi deal is also awesome. My kids loved their meals, and the pricing is good as well. Only down side is that it's small inside, only a few tables. Can't wait to go again! read more

I'm sorry to say that the quality of the General Tso's chicken has plummeted. In my first review I remembered being highly satisfied with the large chunks of what appeared to be all white-meat chicken that was lightly breaded and tender to bite into. The General Tso's from our past three orders have been a major disappointment. The chicken is over-breaded and not all white meat. In fact, some bites were so tough, they couldn't be cut with a knife or chewed. I truly hope something changes and they can go back to their winning recipe. If not, we will be on the lookout for a new place for Chinese takeout. I must note that with the exception of the General Tso's chicken, the other items in our regular order have been enjoyable. They include old standbys like egg rolls, dumplings, chicken or pork lo-mein, Singapore noodles and possibly some others that I have failed to review. read more

Great food; fresh sushi. Just wished there were HUGE portions it's that good! But that's gluttony

My favorite sushi chef in South Jersey. We love Jay Asian Bistro. We love the casual atmosphere and family-run operation. If you're lucky, you may be served by the young daughter who will charm you with her great service. It isn't fancy and we have no problem showing up in gym clothes or grubbies. The 2 for 1 sushi menu is great. The variety of available dishes always pleases. We love their hot and sour soup. read more

I had a terrible experience after ordering from Jay's for 2 years. The food took over an hour and a half to arrive, when we were told 30-40 mins. We were rushed off the phone rudely when we called. When the food arrived it was ICE cold. I called back and requested a refund and was told that they would have to take the food back in order to give me a refund! Complete disregard for our concerns as longtime customers. We will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

Chinese food tends to be hit or miss for me, all too often you'll ask for extra spicy and the food comes out bland. Enter Jay's - Most Excellent Cafe. I sometimes go into my office on a Saturday and thanks to GrubHub - I have ordered delivery from Jay's roughly five or six times. The food has always been completely to my liking. spicy, crispy, yummy, flavorful in every way. As a 20 year vegetarian I appreciate the meat free choices. I've had spring rolls, fried veg dumplings, the Chinese pizza and General Tso's Tofu - extra, extra, extra spicy. Everything was cooked to perfection and delivered piping hot. I would recommend Jay's to anyone who loves delicious Chinese food and is in the Cherry Hill area. (Get the Chinese scallion Pizza.....get two!) read more

I am usually disappointed when it comes to delivery food but this place changed my mind. First there is something for everyone here as they serve Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cusine which I love. Also as a major plus they do online ordering, which is great if you have a preference for it. Ok, so the food is amazing! I ordered the dragon roll, sweet heart roll, Godzilla roll, eel avocado roll and general chicken with pork fried rice to share for three people. All I can say is that everyone LOVED everything. Nothing was soggy or over sauced and the Godzilla roll arrived warm and deliciously crispy on the outside. The flavors of sushi were well balanced and they gave plenty of soy sauce and white ginger to share. I'm so glad we tried this place and we will be returning again. They also have buy one get one and loads of other coupons, so they are budget friendly. Great food for money. read more

Had dinner delivered and it was very fast! I ordered the chicken lettuce wraps, eel cucumber roll and a Philly roll....YUMMY! Everything was fresh and delicious. The chicken for the wrap was delivered hot! If I could make one criticism, when delivering the food, separate the hot food from the cold. The sushi container was a bit warm on the bottom but it wasn't in the bag long enough to affect it. Just a thought! I will definitely be ordering from them again. Price not bad, all the above with small delivery fee & tip = $24 and change!!! read more

We liked Jay's. Our issue, and every single person we ever order or go with has the same complaint, the buy 1 get 1 sushi. It's a SCAM. We order two rolls by person and let them know. We order a couple cali rolls for the kids as appetizer. They will never take off the free roll for the person - they will revert to anything that is sushi. Then you get the bill if you are paying your own way and there is no discount - or it's $5 on a $12 roll. If you are going to offer a buy 1 get 1, do it legit like everyone else. It's so annoying and for people the routinely will spend $100 or more dollars, us and all our friends we have bought will just not order from there anymore. Good food, just buyer beware. read more

My go-to for delivery. They have a varied menu, really nice sushi (buy one get one free!), enjoyable lunch specials and really tasty Chinese food.
