My coworkers surprised me with a little bridal shower at Java Nation and it was a blast. The vibe was fun, appetizers were delicious and the drinks were fantastic and very Pinterest worthy. They accommodated our group of 10+ really well. Not only were the appetizers great, but they also found out what my favorite cake was and made it from scratch in the kitchen-- when it isn't normally on their menu! They went above and beyond to make it great for our group. We will definitely be going back for dinner or drinks in the future. read more

The ambiance is nice with ample outdoor seating, and the food was good. Unfortunately the service was not good. We had to wait a long time for water and water refills (the servers disappear and don't check on the tables), and the busser took my friend's plate while we were still eating (huge pet peeve- don't take my food that I paid for while I'm eating it) but never came back to clear my plates after we finished. (Why would you only clear half the table if you're in such a rush to take our plates?) my friend asked for butter that they never brought. I understand it's not a very high end restaurant but please train the staff to not take people's plates that still have food while they're eating. Let us eat the food we paid for in peace. read more

Java Nation opened down the street from me and I was excited to check it out. The seated dining area looked lovely but I ordered from the pastry/to-go side. I got huevos rancheros, a tropical green smoothie, mango passion fruit refresher (bottled) and a hot chai tea latte. I grabbed a few pastries while I waited and looked around as well. The smoothie was $9 but the worst smoothie I've ever had. I think they're using water as a base. It was so thin and bland and just felt obvious no one there has actually tasted it to get the recipe right. The mango passion fruit refresher says all natural but tastes like chemicals and sure doesn't have the consistency of fresh juice from either fruit. The chai latte was very watery. I was disappointed with all the drinks, and on top of that, the cashier charged me $6 instead of $5.50 (the list price) for the refresher. I am giving three stars because of the nice ambience, kind staff and decent huevos rancheros. read more

I came in for my dad's birthday and it was a pretty nice experience. We walked in and the music was louder than it should have been, and it didn't really match the vibe of the interior. Our waitress greeted us nicely and I got the Java nation burger with the fries. The French fries were just amazing and it had me wanting to grab more after finishing one. The soup we got was served cold but it didn't ruin the taste completely. My dad got sparkling water which was at first served flat but when asked for another we got a normal fizzy cup. A weird moment we had though was when a staff member came for water refills and as he was pouring water in our cups he was about to put tap water into my dads sparkling water, so we say he actually has sparkling water. The staff member with the pitcher stops for a moment looks at us and tells us "that's fine" and then pours tap water into the sparkling water. I'm not sure if he did it out of spite or he just didn't hear us because of the unnecessarily loud music, but I don't want to make assumptions. Another complaint is that I don't know why they just don't give tables pitchers since the size of the water cups are so small, it makes the waiters have to come really often to refill water, and often times they don't come often enough. read more

Happy to see this finally open in Silver I Spring! we inaugurated the outdoor seating area which was a little chilly but will be great later in the Spring. it is well protected from street noise. We had a great lunch with two of the soups that were both excellent along with a burger and a wonderful salad. Service was also good. we will definitely be back for morning coffee or dinner, perhaps on music night. read more

Everytime we come in ( which is often ) we're greeted by the most lovely hostess', followed by an even more friendly server( shoutout to Carlos!) They consistently check on us after the foods been brought out and promptly assist if we need anything! If you come here, we recommend the Turkey BLT, the Morning Sandwich, the Honey Pear Beet Salad and of course you have to try the coffee and pastries! I worked with the team for a couple of weeks to organize an office party and the manager, Patricio, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
