Now listen, do I want to gate keep this place? Yes. Do I want to keep this gem to myself? Yes. But I've been doing that for the last 6 years so I'll spill the beans and let you know how incredible this place is. This place from the outside looks like nothing special, but the inside is filled with some wonderful people who work there and small shop feel. Ok all donuts are to die for. The apple fritter, Boston cream and cinnamon roll are my favs, but let me tell you; the sausage, egg and cheese BAGEL is where it's at. The bagel is the softest! The secret is to get there early when the donuts are hot and fresh. We need to keep special shops like this open with our business and stop going to the chain nasty donut shops.

Java Express has really really good donuts and great bagels. Their sprinkle donuts aren't for me though as they use nonpareil sprinkles instead of the jimmies kind, but other than that the donuts are light and fluffy, perfectly made. Their everything bagel with plain cream cheese is also excellent. It was missing caraway seeds (the seasoning on the bagel), but that's a rarity to find. Highly recommended!!

People have been recommending Java Express to me for years but for some reason I never went. Wow, have I been missing out! My favorite was their Boston Cream which was surprisingly light and just the right amount of sweet. I was super impressed with the texture of their Sour Cream doughnut and they may be the best I've ever had. My Dad's favorite has always been Jelly sticks and those were amazing as well. This location had a sweet small town vibe. It seemed like the customers there knew each other or were regulars. It made me enjoy my wait in line.

The most amazing apple fritter you'll ever eat.

Just right amount of crunch and inside softness to make perfect fritter. Then add a generous amount of sweet apple pie filling to make the perfect apple fritter. Also had their double chocolate and maple glazed. So so good. The perfect casual dive for a donut (and they sell coffee too). Service was worth the wait (it's popular)! Check the times they close though. It closes at 2pm this week (around Christmas).

Hot fresh yummy doughnuts that melt in your mouth. Great customer service and reasonably price it cost 11.50 1/2 dozen. Would definitely be back.

Service was great they where very kind the sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel was amazing it's fluffy and soft great texture it isn't like Dunkin's where when you take a bight you need to really chew the bagel it was very well seasoned The heavenly cream was a bit too sweet not for your Average Boston cream fan The jelly donut was really good you could tell that the jelly filling inside was made from actually strawberries. The ambience of the place was very nice it felt comfortable and relaxing definitely a great place to take some time to breathe!

I have lived in Daytona for many years, and have passed this place for many years... I should've been stoned, because oh my God I was missing out. Their donuts are to die for always fresh. Always delicious. The customer service is always amazing. Also they're freshly made pastries, and muffins, they are like no other. I love them more than the popular grocery store with the best chicken in the world. . Please if you have not visited Them go by the breakfast sandwiches the homemade bagels the homemade donuts, the Java the smoothies. Literally everything is amazing.

It just does not get much better for doughnuts, coffee and breakfast sandwiches. All the fancy coffee drinks as well if that's your jam. Good prices for high quality and service with a smile. Really makes any chain like DD look truly awful in comparison. May be waiting a minute since it gets busy and they are a Mom and Pop who make everything to order. But you will not regret it. Personally think it's the best S.E.C. I've ever had. read more

I was in desperate need of coffee this morning and wasn't in the mood for Starbucks I can get that anytime. I love trying new places when I'm on vacation. Absolutely love this place!!!!! 10/10 recommend to everyone. Cheap prices. Noticed that someone complained in these reviews about their donuts (one wasn't even a donut which makes sense why there would be an up charge. Idiot) being $7. lol suck it up. Go to any other place that isn't a chain , that makes them fresh everyday and order some donuts for way more (ducks, donnies, ect) It's literally ONLY $1 LESS FOR 6 AT DUNKIN DONUTS LMAOOOOO stop complaining about supporting local businesses This is by far the best place. Delicious donuts! Fluffy and moist. We enjoyed the apple stick (wish I got more of this one), maple glaze, chocolate frosted, plain glazed, blueberry cake glazed, cinnamon knot things, apple fritter, lemon filled and cream filled. Here's a true story: I have been a fan of this place for a while. I stopped in here today to grab a coffee and donut. My wife, who had already had her dunkin donuts fill up, insisted on a bite of my apple stick. Since I was driving, and I knew how good these are, I insisted on holding it so she wouldn't devour the whole thing. In my distracted state, I came within inches of rear ending a car that had stopped short in front of me. The moral of the story: These donuts can be deadly - never let them out of your sight! read more

A great donut shop that was nice to pop into. Their donut selection is varied and includes favourites like a glazed, filled, or bowtie. The more enjoyable element was a croissant breakfast sandwich. Although I wouldn't agree on the use of a microwave (appeared to be one) the sandwich was warm, croissant flaky and the innards delicious. I picked up a chai latté as well, which had a very familiar flavour and was not too sweet. The price point and quality ultimately make it a nice little coffee shop where I hope to try more of their selection. read more

Whoa!! Best donuts I've had in years!! I got Boston cream, my Mom got lemon filled. So fresh, light and airy. Not many places have freshly made donuts anymore. It was a real treat. Loveeee this place. Every breakfast sandwich you get you get a free donut! I always get the breakfast sandwich on an English muffin and extra bacon it's amazing! And it's not like any other place where extra bacon is like two pieces it's like 10. I tried there latte it was okay.... nothing like Dunkin or Starbucks. But definitely there breakfast is awesome and pretty affordable read more

I have travelled places to get the best donuts in town, NYC, Chicago, Lago, New Burn, to name a few. I have tried more than a dozen places in Florida yet this is the best to my taste. So, some may not consider a donut gourmet. The two donuts we had here were like no others. The jelly donut was a full inch taller than most, and every bite was filled with raspberry jelly. The donut was coated with granulated sugar, but not too much, which I find annoying. The blueberry donut was moist and tasted like real blueberries. Kind of the way you wish other blueberry donuts tasted. We will absolutely come back next time we are nearby. read more

The doughnuts were excellent! I ordered a glaze doughnut and a Boston creme doughnut. The doughnuts were fresh and were made with yeast. They were light, airy, and not too sweet, the way doughnuts should be made. It was as if they used the Dunkin' Donuts formula and made it better. I also ordered a caramel latte and it was okay. I wouldn't visit this place just for the coffee. However, if you're looking for a doughnut and coffee combo, this is your best bet in Daytona, FL. I'm giving this place 5 stars because of the doughnuts. read more

Pass by this place hundreds of time but finally got time to stop in. The place is amazing. Clean, calm, peaceful, delicious coffee let me add that, and it is in a price range that your heart will sooth too. If you are looking for good coffee, come here. That's all I would say. read more

Their wheat toast was massive and hearty, with seeds on the crust. I loved it! Veggie omelettes are always a good test of a chefs skills as they can be super wet from the high water content in veggies. I felt like I had to beg for the server to come check on the table. The server was very condescending when speaking to us. I've been to many family owned restaurants and I believe they need to strategize better with customer service based on the experience I had. Also, be aware it's 0.50 cents for ice in your drink.. which is absurd.
