This is a locals only type of place. I pulled up to see the coffee group of about 6 older gentlemen, sitting outside chatting and smoking cigars. They seemed to be staples of the porch. The inside is simple and not too frilly. There are fewer than 10 tables. Serve breakfast and coffee along with doughnuts and bottled drinks. I grabbed 6 donuts to do a taste test and a bottle of water ($7!). One doughnut had a .25 up charge - because it was an apple fritter-type. Yes, I grabbed 2 chocolate frosted, because they're my favorite and I knew I'd eat them. I did, both of them, us all the bites I took of the other 4 Chocolate frosted - good doughnut, nor too chewy, really good flavor, the chocolate could use a bit more chocolate, but consistency was good. Lemon filled, glazed - lemon filling was amazing! I should have gotten the powdered version, I didn't love the glaze with the lemon, but overall it's delicious. Butternut - idk what that means, I read about it once, but essentially it is sugar! It was the sweetest of the pack! Cake doughnut topped with something tan and crumbly. So sweeeeet! Chocolate cake - needed more chocolate flavor, but this would be a good dunker! The Apple Bar! This is the gem. It wasn't bar shaped, but it was delicious. Apple pieces, cinnamon, doughnut. That's all ya need. This would only be better warmed up and topped with ice cream! read more

It just does not get much better for doughnuts, coffee and breakfast sandwiches. All the fancy coffee drinks as well if that's your jam. Good prices for high quality and service with a smile. Really makes any chain like DD look truly awful in comparison. May be waiting a minute since it gets busy and they are a Mom and Pop who make everything to order. But you will not regret it. Here's a true story: I have been a fan of this place for a while. I stopped in here today to grab a coffee and donut. My wife, who had already had her dunkin donuts fill up, insisted on a bite of my apple stick. Since I was driving, and I knew how good these are, I insisted on holding it so she wouldn't devour the whole thing. In my distracted state, I came within inches of rear ending a car that had stopped short in front of me. A great donut shop that was nice to pop into. Their donut selection is varied and includes favourites like a glazed, filled, or bowtie. The more enjoyable element was a croissant breakfast sandwich. Although I wouldn't agree on the use of a microwave (appeared to be one) the sandwich was warm, croissant flaky and the innards delicious. I picked up a chai latté as well, which had a very familiar flavour and was not too sweet. The price point and quality ultimately make it a nice little coffee shop where I hope to try more of their selection. read more

So, some may not consider a donut gourmet. The two donuts we had here were like no others. The jelly donut was a full inch taller than most, and every bite was filled with raspberry jelly. The donut was coated with granulated sugar, but not too much, which I find annoying. The blueberry donut was moist and tasted like real blueberries. The doughnuts were excellent! I ordered a glaze doughnut and a Boston creme doughnut. The doughnuts were fresh and were made with yeast. They were light, airy, and not too sweet, the way doughnuts should be made. It was as if they used the Dunkin' Donuts formula and made it better. I also ordered a caramel latte and it was okay. I wouldn't visit this place just for the coffee. However, if you're looking for a doughnut and coffee combo, this is your best bet in Daytona, FL.
