Woke up early craving a good iced coffee and stumbled up on this spot. Java Express is a gem! This place give that old nostalgic bakery vibe. They make fresh donuts and croissants and great coffee. There is a small parking lot out front and the line can get busy in the morning. I ordered an apple stick and a vanilla iced coffee. The coffe was great and the apple stick was amazing. This place was so good I actually came twice during my visit. If you ever want a great coffee and donut combo. Look no further than Java Express, they've got you covered! read more

Super fresh ingredients in the veggie, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich! I got it on a buttery croissant! Plus a huge and perfect, glazed donut! Mocha coffee with oat milk was smooth and not too sweet. Even a little boy waiting patiently in line said to his dad, "it's worth the wait! Sorry it was too late to take pics because I just kept eating it all up. Most people were take out but there's searing inside and out. Nothing fancy but it's clean. But the photos in the Yelp listing are accurate. It's obviously a favorite of the locals and I highly recommend if you are leaving South Daytona beach headed to I-4 West, it's on the way! read more

Now listen, do I want to gate keep this place? Yes. Do I want to keep this gem to myself? Yes. But I've been doing that for the last 6 years so I'll spill the beans and let you know how incredible this place is. This place from the outside looks like nothing special, but the inside is filled with some wonderful people who work there and small shop feel. Ok all donuts are to die for. The apple fritter, Boston cream and cinnamon roll are my favs, but let me tell you; the sausage, egg and cheese BAGEL is where it's at. The bagel is the softest! The secret is to get there early when the donuts are hot and fresh. We need to keep special shops like this open with our business and stop going to the chain nasty donut shops. read more

This place has the best donuts I have found anywhere in Florida and would probably rank in the top nationally. I have been going here for 8 years now, and they never let you down. The coffee is delicious, and the crew is amazing. Privately run, the same folks are there everyday. They have bagels, breakfast sandwiches and specialty coffees as well. Honestly, I cannot understand that anyone that has w means to get here would go to Dunkin for previously frozen donuts. These ladies are up before dawn making the donuts which is how it should be. They are to be commended. Check this place out, you will not be sorry. read more

1000000/10!! This place is such a cute hole in the wall breakfast joint that i cannot get enough of. I always order the sausage, egg and cheese on a (freshly baked) everything bagel and its so good. The wait is never long, pretty much walk right in and out. They also have the best donuts in town! My personal favorite are the chocolate covered with sprinkles and the sugar raised read more

People have been recommending Java Express to me for years but for some reason I never went. Wow, have I been missing out! My favorite was their Boston Cream which was surprisingly light and just the right amount of sweet. I was super impressed with the texture of their Sour Cream doughnut and they may be the best I've ever had. My Dad's favorite has always been Jelly sticks and those were amazing as well. This location had a sweet small town vibe. It seemed like the customers there knew each other or were regulars. It made me enjoy my wait in line. read more

Java Express - Jelly Stick, Sour Cream Doughnut, Boston Cream - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Daytona Beach, Florida

Java Express has really really good donuts and great bagels. Their sprinkle donuts aren't for me though as they use nonpareil sprinkles instead of the jimmies kind, but other than that the donuts are light and fluffy, perfectly made. Their everything bagel with plain cream cheese is also excellent. It was missing caraway seeds (the seasoning on the bagel), but that's a rarity to find. Highly recommended!! read more

I cannot say enough good things about the food! We got there a little after 9 and there was still a large variety of donuts and other pastries available. The donuts were giant, incredibly fresh, and so very yummy! I also tried a sausage, egg, and cheese bagel and it was fantastic. We also got two large iced coffees and they were 100% better than Starbucks and such a great value. Service was quick and friendly. Would absolutely return and recommend! read more

The donuts are delicious! So fluffy and tasty! We look forward to stopping here when we're in town!

Just right amount of crunch and inside softness to make perfect fritter. Then add a generous amount of sweet apple pie filling to make the perfect apple fritter. Also had their double chocolate and maple glazed. So so good. The perfect casual dive for a donut (and they sell coffee too). Service was worth the wait (it's popular)! Check the times they close though. It closes at 2pm this week (around Christmas). read more

I have lived in Daytona for many years, and have passed this place for many years... I should've been stoned, because oh my God I was missing out. Their donuts are to die for always fresh. Always delicious. The customer service is always amazing. Also they're freshly made pastries, and muffins, they are like no other. I love them more than the popular grocery store with the best chicken in the world. . Please if you have not visited Them go by the breakfast sandwiches the homemade bagels the homemade donuts, the Java the smoothies. Literally everything is amazing. read more

This is a favorite of locals! Breakfast sandwiches are served on English muffins, croissants, or bagels. You can get veggie, egg, and cheese, or a variety of breakfast meats with egg and cheese. People love their coffee, lattes, etc., as well as, obviously, their doughnuts. This is a no-frills establishment, but it's definitely a winner. Skip the national chains and support this local, long - standing business in our community. Note: There is no drive through, but service is quick! read more

If you're going to go buy a donut, buy it from a place like this. Stop going to Dunkin' Donuts! The quality is obviously better. The donut is a moist cake. I tried the blueberry and chocolate frosting. I'm the half donut guy. I can't commit to one so I cut them in half to try multiples. read more

The iced white chocolate mocha is delicious. The food is good too, but I mainly go for the coffee

Everything they offer is amazing! The fresh donuts are to die for. They have healthy smoothies and amazing coffee. The breakfast sandwiches are too quality and so tasty! My husband is from NY and complains he can never find authentic bagels around Florida, but he's commented that Java Express has the best bagels he's ever had! To top it all off, the staff and service is above beyond! They are so so soooo kind that it makes your entire day. They serve you with a smile and always have something very nice to say in your way out. I love this place so much! read more

Took us a while to find it, but man are we happy we did!! These donuts were the best I've ever had. They were not crazy fancy but they were tender, well glazed- a huge pet peeve for me is a crappy glaze job- these did not disappoint. The doughnut holes were amazing too, almost deadly because I could eat an entire box of 50. They had a nice array of flavors, they were out of their coconut ones which a lot of people reviewed about so they must be good! They had breakfast sandwiches on a doughnut! Whatttttt!?! Didn't get to try that this time, but would come back for it. We will be making the hour drive back here for these delightful donuts. Next on our list is the coffee as well. Stop by and give them a try you will not be disappointed! read more

Looks like an old Dunkin' Donuts when you walk in the counter with all the donuts behind the register. Not a huge variety of donuts however, all the donuts look thick and fluffy and homemade wekept it simple and ordered four glaze donuts. my husband and I both ordered large coffees. They put the cream and sugar in for you. I prefer doing it myself but she did a great job. Staff were very pleasant took our order quickly but in stages. I said we would like two coffees. We were given the two coffees for glazed donuts. We were given the glazed donuts in a bag then we ordered the breakfast sandwiches went and sat down at one of four little tables (There is also a table outside for those who prefer to eat outdoors.) and a few minutes later she brought us our breakfast sandwiches. Breakfast sandwiches were very simple basically egg and cheese with your choice of veggies, sausage or bacon. You could choose a croissant bagel or whole wheat wrap to put it in. Tasted good, very simple, nothing fancy nothing healthy. read more

The baker is a donut artist! The donuts are beautiful to behold. To get the full effect, get there early while the trays are still full. Everything is delicious - donuts, breakfast sandwiches, etc. My impression is the shop uses high quality ingredients. The staff is delightful. No decaf espresso but the donuts are good and the regular latte is average. It's like a Dunkin.

great food, service, and pricing. i come here and grab bagels or donuts every once in a while - the service is quick, they make great food every single morning and sell out of a lot by around 10am - they can be slightly hard to understand for me due to heavy accents (their english is great i just have trouble hearing through accents so it's entirely on me - just a note) read more

This is a locals only type of place. I pulled up to see the coffee group of about 6 older gentlemen, sitting outside chatting and smoking cigars. They seemed to be staples of the porch. The inside is simple and not too frilly. There are fewer than 10 tables. Serve breakfast and coffee along with doughnuts and bottled drinks. I grabbed 6 donuts to do a taste test and a bottle of water ($7!). One doughnut had a .25 up charge - because it was an apple fritter-type. Yes, I grabbed 2 chocolate frosted, because they're my favorite and I knew I'd eat them. I did, both of them, us all the bites I took of the other 4 Chocolate frosted - good doughnut, nor too chewy, really good flavor, the chocolate could use a bit more chocolate, but consistency was good. Lemon filled, glazed - lemon filling was amazing! I should have gotten the powdered version, I didn't love the glaze with the lemon, but overall it's delicious. Butternut - idk what that means, I read about it once, but essentially it is sugar! It was the sweetest of the pack! Cake doughnut topped with something tan and crumbly. So sweeeeet! Chocolate cake - needed more chocolate flavor, but this would be a good dunker! The Apple Bar! This is the gem. It wasn't bar shaped, but it was delicious. Apple pieces, cinnamon, doughnut. That's all ya need. This would only be better warmed up and topped with ice cream! read more
