Excellent food and presentation. First time, highly recommended from a friend. So glad we came. Muffaletta & Classic Club were both on point. Don't miss it if you're visiting Germantown.

Hot White chocolate peppermint mocha with whipped cream.

Wonderful coffee shop/lunch stop. This was my second time. The service is top notch. Genuine, loving and kind. The server who took my order made my day. The music was perfect and made me realize they are out for the Greater purpose and good of the Lord. I had the white chocolate peppermint mocha which was delicious. The lemon cookie and the chocolate chip cookie were delightful. So glad I stopped in today. Was uplifting from God. I will definitely be back. Thank you John and staff! Appreciate you!

I must start off by saying I was completely Wowed by the customer service here! I was immediately greeted not only by the workers but welcomed but an amazing aroma of meats and breads. I ordered the lox and bagel and it was BOMB! There was plenty of cream cheese and lots of onions which I Love! The salon was A1. There is a little sitting area out front to enjoy the perfect weather. I would definitely come back here. The food is fantastic and taste fresh! I would come back just for the customer service alone!

Went here for breakfast each morning after working over night for about 5 days. I don't think it is possible for the service to have been any better than it was. Additionally the food was delicious, especially the pastries; best blueberry muffins and scones I had ever had. The coffee smelled great but I had to avoid it given it was the end of my night. If I could take Java Cafe home with me I most certainly would. read more

I am now giving this place 5 stars! I loved the tomato basil soup so I called and asked what day they make it. I was told it really is just random but they would call me the next time they had it. Well like a week or so passed and totally forgot about it and I was surprised to get a call from them letting me know they had the soup. I went by at lunch and got some such great customer service. read more

Absolutely love their fresh breads! They're always the perfect texture and done just right. The ham and Swiss on rye has got to be my favorite on the menu. It's a cute little place to grab lunch or coffee with a friend and the changing selection of art (for sale at good prices!) is a nice touch. Overall, it's a lovely and pleasant little cafe with great food, drink, art, and atmosphere. :) read more

Great breakfast and coffee spot!...best in Germantown. Easy stop for just getting coffee or a full breakfast. The food is good and has all the regular breakfast favorites. Coffee is consistent and good...$2 for a large and easy in/out for a quick cup. Great morning meeting location--quiet and inexpensive. What an incredible find! The name of the place implies that it is a coffee joint that happens to have food but they absolutely have a passion for great fresh food as well. Freshly slices deli meat and fresh soup made in house! I find it hard to under appreciate a fresh bowl of soup when there is so much canned soup / salted water being served out there that is being passed off as fresh made. Great stuff happening here. You won't be disappointed. read more

Great food, definitely has its regulars here. Try the BELT sandwich for breakfast, or the turkey Reuben for lunch! They serve Boar's Head meats and have a wide range of freshly made side salads (cucumber, tomato, fruit, egg, even beet salad occasionally). Great coffee too and a friendly staff. read more

Today was my first time having anything from. This restaurant. I ordered the SPA salad. And please allow me to say how absolutely AWESOME and amazing this thing was. I have never had a salad with strawberries but this was the best mixed greens, bacon, cucumbers, turkey, feta cheese and strawberry vinegrette. Amazing!!! I will have it Again! read more

Always good. The homemade cranberry bread is delicious. The Spa salad with chicken and strawberries so good. The sandwiches have meat piled high. Great selection of chips, bakery items and coffees. First time customers...Wow, great place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. We arrived at 9:30 to avoid morning rush, but the place was packed to the gills with regulars. Love Java Cafe! It's a wonderful local cafe with fresh, delicious food served up in generous portions. The staff and owner couldn't be nicer or more welcoming. Some of my favorites: the best tuna salad ever, the chicken wrap, the BLT. Today I tried the sandwich special--a grilled ham sandwich with bacon, white cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and horseradish sauce. Yummy! Java is a regular stop for me. Easily the best lunch spot in Germantown. Everything I've ordered there has always been good. I'm a big fan of their sandwiches, particularly the breakfast and the hot ones. I really like the sandwiches because they always load up the meat. They also offer cranberry walnut bread as an option which is another plus. My favorite sandwich is The Boss of The Moss. Aside from the food I also really enjoy the atmosphere. It's small and unassuming but very cozy. Every time I go in I feel right at home. The staff is also really friendly and I always get my food pretty quickly even if it's busy. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

This restaurant is purely amazing. I tell all my friends to go here for breakfast. They have the best French toast I have ever tasted as well as great omelets. The lunch selection is also good, but I would definitely recommend breakfast here. read more

Additionally, I had two giant pieces for like $40! I could only eat one of them after all of the appetizers. Oh.... Yea. They have a hot lobster roll that is good! You don't see that in Memphis very often!! Get you some. Wait.... Lamb Lollipops. They have evolved some of the years but they have really good lamb chops. They used to be the exact same dish as their sister concepts of Itta Bena, BB Kings, and Lafayette's. I am not sure if the whole family still has the old version or not. The Prime Rib Sandwich was more bread than meat. The Fried were good. The Cajun Pasta with Chicken was good but little slices of chicken. The breakfast plate was the best. The waitress was very good. They have a lot of customers but I don't see why they have to cut certain portions to make a profit. Be mindful what you should order.

Java Cafe is my number one reason for eating local. They have a fantastic lunch and breakfast menu. My personal favorites are their Breakfast sandwich on their cranberry toast, Boss of the Moss Sandwich, and their Spa Salad. I've never been disappointed by their food or service. If I had more money, I would go there everyday! read more
