Built own salad with Italian Dressing
Jenn C.

Ordered on line & attempted to sign up for an account. Didn't work, so there is that. I ordered a build your own salad & hubby ordered the Spicy Sicilian Sub. I also got a kids potato. Arrived to pick up & they were still working on it. Employees were not necessarily rude, but certainly not friendly or appreciative of those of us choosing their restaurant over many others. As I waited, I noticed a couple of tables wrapping up their meals, and the state of the restaurant- not really the cleanest. On the surface, maybe clean enough but the bottom of the counter, salad bar & "feet level" areas need a good scrubbing!!!! I give 4 stars because the food today was definitely fresh, customers coming in a good flow, the employees seemed to get along well & my belly is full. I'm going back again soon, but I HOPE to see a cleaner restaurant. They have catering available & gluten free options! They also offer a business partnership, which is fantastic from my corporate days. I noticed a drive through too. Didn't realize until today. For the price, portions & quality ya can't beat Jasons!!

Slow service for delivery orders they don't have the orders ready here in the time frame they posted to come pick up the orders. And very snappy attitude when asked for the reason for the delay. They can manage bake cookies they shouldn't have them in the sold for their kitchen. It's very weird to be flustered.

Ordered here last week and the service was ok the sand which had a overpowering amount of meat on it was gross and the bread was also stale. This time when we ordered the sandwich was skimped out on meat and given tomatoes when specifically stated allergy. Also a hair i found in my soup.

Drive thru window that hasn't opened in over 15 minutes as we wait for our food.

Sat in drive-thru for over 15 minutes waiting for a chicken sandwich and salad at 2pm (not lunch rush hour) on a Sunday. Poor service and speed. Avoid this place like the plague.

Went here last week and I will say that I am concerned. The service was subpar at BEST. I snapped the photo to show the condition of the restaurant. If they are not cleaning, what all is the food subjected too! I got the soup and sandwich. I have noticed some changes I hope there standards become important to them again!

Everything was fantastic; hot, flavorful, and fresh. Even the beverages were refreshing. The Lemonade was solid. The Peach Green Tea was new to my taste buds, and I really enjoyed it. I especially liked the Virgin Mojito, really nicely balanced and this would be my go-to drink for sure! If you're in the area, stop by and try it for yourself. I would absolutely return.

I was immediately greeted by friendly Chop Shop associate Victoria. I ordered a sandwich to go for my wife. She wanted the Grinder sandwich. This came with ham, turkey, salami, provolone, mayo, house greens, tomato, onion, banana pepper, oregano, and red wine vinaigrette on multigrain-sliced bread. She also wanted the strawberry ginger lemonade. She said the sandwich was a really good size (meaning that she could only eat half) and shared it with our daughter. They both said it was delicious and both rated it 9 out of 10 for the same reason. They would have liked the sandwich on a hoagie roll instead of the bread. They said nothing was wrong with the bread, except that they both felt the sandwich would have been better on a hoagie roll if that had been an option. I was here for a Yelp event. I ordered one of the Made For You bowls, the Hot Honey Chicken bowl + Hummus. It came with brown rice, house greens tossed in red wine vinaigrette, cucumber, tomato, banana pepper, red pepper hummus, hot honey sauce, Greek yogurt sauce, and house-baked tortilla chips sprinkled with Parmesan. I had the chips on the side because I wanted my bowl gluten-free. The bowl was delicious. I would definitely get it again. I also had the strawberry ginger lemonade, which is freshly made as needed, since I saw Victoria juicing ginger for another batch of lemonade while I was eating. All of the other Make It Original options sounded delicious, too. I plan on returning to try more of their bowls. Overall, this was a great experience, and we definitely recommend the original Chop Shop.

It is…read moreoff the main road in what seems like a business park, not somewhere you would expect to find a restaurant. I say less than ideal because you can't see the storefront from the main road, so they don't really have any exposure to nearby vehicular traffic and the signage is easy to miss. [ THE EXPERIENCE ] Mal's offers both fried & boiled seafood items and on our first visit we tried both. The FRIED CATFISH & SHRIMP PLATTER #1 includes two perfectly golden flaky fillets, six shrimp, fries, hush puppies and coleslaw. Excellent flavor in the breading of the catfish & shrimp, however, the coleslaw and hush puppies were just average, and the fries can be hit or miss. Since that first visit, I have come back three more times! Each time we were greeted by Miss Maurice, a kind, extremely hospitable and down to earth server that will make you feel like a member of the family. Service is unexpectedly fast considering she basically ran the entire dining room alone on three of our four visits. Here are all the items we've tried: [ THE FOOD ] * MAL'S KRAZY BOILED PLATTER #2 2 clusters of snow crab legs, 8 shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn and boiled eggs. The seasoning of the boil was very good, but a tad salty. It seemed to me salt was added after the dish was plated and it honestly didn't need it. Overall, it was still very tasty, just something I thought I should note. (4 stars) * FRIED MUSHROOM APPETIZER Very good and plentiful. The house-made remoulade sauce made them even better. (4 stars) * FRIED CATFISH & SHRIMP PLATTER #1 By the third visit Catfish & Shrimp had become my staple meal. It is so me of the best fried fish and shrimp I've had anywhere. It is very apparent Mal changes her cooking oil often. The fried foods don't have a heavy greasy taste and have been perfectly golden every visit. (5 stars) * FRIED CLAM STRIPS So good! Perfectly breaded, perfectly seasoned, perfectly fried. (4.5 stars) * FRIED LOBSTER TAIL ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! A must try! (5+ stars) DISLIKES: The only items I'm not a huge fan of are the corn on the cob, cole slaw and the french fries. PRO TIP: Come for lunch! The specials are very reasonably priced!!! [ FINAL THOUGHTS ] The entire staff welcomes everyone with a strong sense of "glad you are here". They were eager to correct any errors and on each & every visit insisted we come back real soon! Surely they will be in business for many years to come with their combination of great food and welcoming service! Mal's restaurant has quickly and easily become my FAVORITE place to eat in Monroe. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you are in the area or any nearby suburban city!

Instead, we decided to try somewhere new and headed to Pita Corner in Lawrenceville. I ordered the beef shawarma with falafel. Let's start with the positives. The restaurant was clean, the dining area was well kept, and the restroom was spotless. It looked like it had just been cleaned, which I always appreciate. Now for the food. The beef shawarma had decent flavor, but it was so dry that every bite felt like a workout. The meat clung to the roof of my mouth and my teeth like it had signed a lease there. No amount of chewing seemed to improve the experience. Texture matters just as much as seasoning, and unfortunately, this missed the mark. The falafel ended up being the highlight of the meal. It was flavorful, had a nice texture, and was easily the best thing on the plate. I always like giving new places a chance, but this one just wasn't for me. While I appreciated the cleanliness and friendly environment, the food simply didn't leave me wanting to come back. If you'd like, I can also make it a little sharper and funnier for Yelp while still keeping it professional and believable.

From the makers who brought you Marietta Diner comes Yeero Village…read more It's a different style of restaurant compared to that of their predecessors that have become Atlanta staples (Cobb County). The ordering style is that of a fast food joint The service is that of your typical restaurant where they bring the food out to you. So the restaurant itself is very hybrid in terms of how they go about their business. This place is well lit, spacious, and homely yet corporate enough to pass as a franchise type joint. Seats roughly 90 people or so between 4 top tables and booths. It's clean, quaint, and with the traditional Greek soundtrack playing the background, they want you to sort of feel like you're looking at the Aegean Sea while a lyre is playing in the background... but really you're looking at Publix so they can only do so much. Let's go with the food... It's Yeero Village. So I had to try the traditional Greek style Gyro. There is something to be said for the attempt at authentic and it seems like they do it right here. The meat isn't the beef/lamb conglomerate we are all used to when we think "gyro". Here, for it to be authentically Greek, the meat is pork based, not beef based which is typical of the Americanized gyro, which is an interesting take. But rest assured, the gyro was flavorful!!! They married the flavors of the meat which was tender as all get out, the tzatziki sauce, and tomatoes all were balanced and intermingled well. And the pita was fluffy The salad was a bit disappointing. The romaine was shredded and you can't really get a good forkful. The dressing was tart. Too many tomatoes. And just three Kalamata olives??? Come on!!! I did opt for the Greek style potatoes which, I'm glad I did because they were cooked in a way that the flavors seemed to be infused into the potatoes which I was a big fan of! I also had to grab their rice pilaf. The rice was pillowy yet had an al dente texture to it that made each forkful all that more enjoyable! All in all, the folks who brought us Marietta Diner definitely had an idea and developed this place nicely! At $14.95 for a gyro combo with a side of your choice plus the aforementioned salad with tax and your choice for a tip, it's a good $16-$17 meal which is comparable to that of fast food or Panera just a few blocks down! Definitely recommend.
