Hot Corned Beef and pastrami Sandwich
Nancy N.

It's St. Patrick's Day, and I was craving corned beef, so we decided to stop by Jason's Deli. It used to be one of our regular spots, and after tonight, I'm honestly wondering why we ever stopped going. From the moment we walked in, the employees were welcoming and genuinely friendly, which set a great tone for the visit. I ordered the corned beef and pastrami on marble rye, and it did not disappoint. The meat was high quality, flavorful, and the portion was very generous--I could only finish half. My husband had the spicy BLT, and it was just as impressive in both quality and size. Each sandwich comes with a bag of Ruffles and a pickle, which is a nice touch. What really surprised us was the price. Our total bill was very reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes and overall quality. I definitely recommend giving it a visit--great food, friendly service, and excellent value.

Dill Pickle Grilled cheese? I do dig on dill pickled creations...I need to give this a try!

I've heard of Jason's Deli but have never tried it. As we were trying to decide what to eat last night this was tossed out as an option. My friend cleverly and casually mentioned they had a Dill Pickle Grilled Cheese sandwich, so this became our destination....I needed to taste it! I might have a slight addiction for pickles...bean and cheese burritos, and a few other foods (please don't send help). The staff were very cool and super nice. Always a plus in my book. You order at the counter and take your number to your table and your food is brought out to you. The store was clean and huge inside. We got our food rather quickly. I loooved the sandwich! Never thought a dill pickle in a grilled cheese sandwich would taste good but obviously I was excited to be completely wrong. I could have slammed 2 or 3 more. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'll go back, 100%!

Pot pie soup

Stopped in for a Sunday evening dinner around 7pm. Restaurant was moderately busy. This must have been an off night. Ice tea was out however they quickly made a new pot. Many dirty tables in the dining area. The salad bar was good with the exception of the gingerbread muffins. There were only a couple there and they were old. The chicken pot pie soup was served Luke warm and the pastry of top was hot appealing. Maybe they were short staffed?

Paper in the sandwich

Ordered food Via Door Dash however this is. Jasons Deli issue with food quality. We ordered a Club Royale and a NY Yankeee The order arrived quickly but the food quality was unacceptable. The club royal had paper on the cheese. I mean really paper in the sandwich see pic. This is more than careless preparation. The NY Yankee is a 20.00 Sandwich and they made it on marble rye that was stale and hard. It was impossible for them to not know that the bread was stale and hard. The order was at 10:15 AM so it was not a situation where it sat out long enough in the day to get hard. This had to be yesterdays stale bread. I have to ask who does this? Do they think the customer is going to find this acceptable? Paper on the cheese and stale bread on a 20.00 sandwich. There is genuinely no excuse for this and who ever prepared this food needs to be either reprimanded or terminated. You have one job and that is to make a quality product. If things like this are happening it makes me wonder what other corners are cut and if there is actually any manager overseeing quality and safe practices! I would give zero stars if that was an option.

Nice open clean, tons of seating inside as well patio seating. Menus are clear and easy to read. Cashier takes order helpful if you can't make up your mind. Love the open salad bar and drinks. I ordered myself salad bar and chicken penne sandwich, sandwich served with potatoe chips. Food was great they bring the hot food out to you, and you help yourself to a wide selection of salad topping and serveral drink options.

Food was tasty with many options available. Sad not to get a pickle with a deli sando but chips were included and they piled the corned beef to the stars !!! Soup was Spicy gumbo and it packed some heat! Lots of okra and sausage with good flavor and s bit of white rice grains. They had a great assortment of beverages and iced teas. A salad bar . The service was great excellent. The ambiance was family friendly and tables were spaced out far enough to give you some space. And for dessert they have free soft serve ice cream ! Yay just like on the big kids cruise ship !!! Great way to end your mess meal ! It was $35 for 2 manager specials smaller sandwich chips, soups and one drink.

Pretty good food. We used to always get Jason's Deli in STL... glad to see they're still around. The soup was good for being kind of sickly this week, and the prices were reasonable.

I was looking for a place to have a late lunch and didn't want to eat anything too heavy. Sandwiches and salads fit the bill! I remembered that Jason's Deli still has a salad bar and I remember that the food was really good as well. There isn't one close to where I live so I decided to make the drive. I was very pleased with service I was given and the quality of the food. The prices aren't as high as and it was very clean and welcoming. Thanks to everyone that works there!! I will be back!

Bro where do they get off charging 12.50 for this joint?

Meatball Sandwich; when you ask what is the cheese that use & the owner is educated on quality be states "Provolone on the bottom, Mozzarella on top" just know you're in the right place! The flavor is top notch, added some cherry peppers to spice it up just right, bell peppers & onions are standard. Took it to go, drove about 20 minutes to where I needed to be, the aroma was teasing me, the concern of the sandwich being cold or soggy rang in my mind while driving the 17 to the 10.. I was nervous, anxious & salivating.... Opening the togo container to see the glorious sandwich! I saw this location had some good seating to have 10 of us as a send off. The staff was incredibly friendly, and even offered extra chairs and help move tables if needed. What We Ordered: - German Potato Salad: My cousin ordered and really liked it. I'm not a fan of German potato salad, so I didn't enjoy the flavor. I'll stick to my potato salad. - Potato Salad: Pretty decent for a potato salad, but nothing standout for me. - Meatball Sub: My cousin and his son split this, and they said it was quite large. They wished it had more sauce, but still overall a decent meatball sub. - Caesar Salad + Chicken: I couldn't snap a photo before my cousin's girlfriend and his daughter tore into this. They seemed very pleased with the salad and at a glance, it looked pretty delicious. - Philly Cheesesteak: My dad said it was very good and ate the whole thing! - Roasted Veggie Wrap: My mom said it was nice, and veggies are refreshing on a hot summer day. It was wrapped well, and enjoyed the umami of the mushrooms and balsamic glaze. - Pastrami Reuben: I loved this sandwich! The pastrami was delicious, and I'm excited to have leftovers which is saying something. I'm not usually one to look forward to leftovers. - Turkey & Swiss Wrap: My auntie throughly enjoyed this, and said it was the perfect last meal in America before heading back to England. - Chef Salad: My auntie and I split this to have a bit of veg. Lovely salad with lots of ingredients that complimented each other well. - The American (Reuben-style): My cousin really enjoyed this sandwich and said it was quite large. Price and quality did not match…read more I ordered the pastrami sandwich and immediately noticed some cost cutting choices, like butter flavored spray (can we use real butter) US Foods/Chef's Store sourdough bread, (can we use real sourdough bread) and a microwave sitting next to the griddle (which the griddle looks like it has not been cleaned very often). I didn't think much of it at first, but then I watched the owner heat the pastrami in the microwave before assembling the sandwich. I've never had a deli sandwich prepared that way right in front of me, and it was disappointing. She also pulled out a large bag of Taylor Farms shredded lettuce. I asked for no lettuce, and she joked that "people don't want lettuce anymore." Given the recent news surrounding Taylor Farms, that comment didn't exactly inspire confidence. What really surprised me was that the pastrami was placed in a plastic basket and microwaved. Whether or not it's considered safe, seeing food heated that way wasn't very appetizing. Looking around, there also didn't appear to be any real kitchen equipment for preparing hot sandwiches beyond a microwave. A Blackstone griddle or even a quality countertop oven would have inspired much more confidence in the food, especially considering the owner's Yelp responses emphasizing the quality of their sandwiches. From what I experienced, the preparation didn't match those claims. In the end, we ordered just one pastrami sandwich and one beer, and the total came to about $25, with the sandwich alone costing over $17. For that price, I expected much better ingredients and preparation. Unfortunately, the quality didn't match the cost. We tried to be as nice as possible but we left feeling pretty disappointed and couldn't wait to get out of there.
