We quite often use Jason's for catering events at work. They arrive on time, set up and make everything seamless for us. The food is typical deli food with soups, salads, and sandwiches. Our attendees are always satisfied with lunch or dinner from this deli.

I forget about good ol' Jason's sometimes, but why? I ran in with a very short window between events and really wanted to have not fast food. I was greeted with a smile. In a clean restaurant. I grabbed my drink and a table while they prepped my chicken pot pie soup. It was delicious! It comes out warm with healing chicken and veg and a nice wedge of crust on the side. The crust is a little awkward to dig straight into for me, so I snagged some crackers. After my soup, I grabbed a free froyo to go. A woman with a beautifully warm smile came around to bus the tables and thanked everyone. It was great! A quick lunch that left me feeling better about my choices and people in general makes me want to re-explore the sandwiches and salad bar soon.

This deli is located directly next-door to an Oyster bar and Waterloo icehouse. My personal favorite item on the menu is their French dip known as the beefeater which comes with a cup of Aus jus. To be honest, it's been a few years since I've set foot inside of Jason's deli and a few things have changed since then. If you decide to get the salad bar, you are permitted one trip to it only, no refills. They will also hand you a blue glove to wear while handling the utensils at the salad bar. When you've finished your meal, you can help yourself to a complementary ice cream cone. The quality of their food here is consistently good. There is plenty of seating inside and lots of parking outside. This is also one of those businesses where the tip screen will pop up when you run your card.

Love the food here, never get disappointed. Food is served quickly, we love the free ice cream after our food purchase. Family friendly.

Wow, when it's right, it's right. Their chipotle chicken and avocado panini is amazing! Flavorful, large enough for two meals and served with a smile. I'm impressed!

It wasn't too busy but most of the outdoor tables were taken, although there was plenty of indoor seating available when we visited. We went family style on a bunch of sides including Erin's Mac & Cheese, Korean-Style Chicken Wings, and Kale Fritters. All pretty good. I ordered the Tuna Salad Salad for myself which was good. There were so many to choose from it was difficult to decide. Will definitely be back to try some of the other options!

I…read moredidn't realize just how many salads they offer, but I really appreciated that tofu is available as a protein option. What especially caught my attention--perfect for a cool winter evening in Texas--was their mushroom stew with a vegan miso base. We ordered cups of the vegan mushroom stew to start, along with one of the seasonal specials, the yam string fries, and a shared plate of grilled tofu. The mushroom stew was very umami-forward, filled with miso broth and a variety of mushrooms. While it was comforting, it felt like it needed a bit more seasoning--either spice or salt--to really elevate it. I was also expecting something thicker or creamier since it was labeled a "stew," but the base was quite runny and brothy with steamed mushrooms. The grilled tofu was decent, with a nice color on the outside, though it was soft and could have used more flavor. The yam string fries were almost comically thin--extremely shoestring. Dipping them into sauce was a challenge because they were so tiny, but it was still fun to eat them while chatting. What really stood out was the atmosphere. The dining area is comfy and cozy, and the colorful wall décor adds a lot of character. It's a welcoming, relaxed space right on Congress. Overall, Vinaigrette is a cozy Austin spot with casual yet slightly upscale vibes, offering healthy salad, soup, and sandwich options. If that's what you're looking for, it's definitely worth a visit.

Is it terrific marketing or terrible planning to put MAD Greens in the same building as CAVA? I…read morefeel like the kind of people who are interested in a healthy bowl of nourishing food would be split not quite down the middle between both of these restaurants. Are they hoping the better-known Mediterranean bowl place will be so full they can catch their overflow? People in a rush might skip the line and try this less-known healthy bowl food restaurant instead? But I digress... I had tried CAVA four times or so and every time I saw MAD Greens and thought, Someday I'm going to try that place. Well, last Sunday was the day. I got to eat what I wanted because I was eating solo. I'm going all in on this trial run, I thought to myself, so I bought one salad for that day and ordered another to be my lunch the following day. I walked in and was the only customer in the restaurant. I was greeted warmly by the young man behind the counter, who called me queen and had no complaint about my asking for no tomatoes and the dressings on the side. I tried the Greek one and the sesame sriracha one. The place was clean enough and the employees seemed to be enjoying themselves, chatting and goofing off a reasonable amount. The bowls were great. I chose the Greek one first when I realized it had pita chips inside. It came with two dressings, the creamier of which was a.m.a.z.i.n.g. Confession--I am a recovering picky eater and I hate cucumbers, but I love sneaking them into my body underneath delicious dressings and salty kalamatas. The second day I ate the sesame sriracha situation. It had tofu, which tbh I have never successfully eaten, and it was really good. It reminded me of the paneer in Indian food. That salad had edamame too, so I was definitely satiated and I'm guessing I got plenty of protein. Overall, I will definitely go back. CAVA has had some consistency problems for me, as well as some of my favorite offerings being limited-time or seasonal (isn't it the worst when restaurants lure you in with seasonal offerings you can't count on?!), so I'm glad to have had such a positive experience here and I'm hoping they will be consistently good.
