The best thing about dentist Kirkland is that he and his staff do not pressure patients to do procedures if you do not want them. he will suggest a procedure once but if you do not want it, he will drop it and not pressure you. the health insurance industry in USA is fundamentally dysfunctional and broken and the only way dentists/doctors can make money is by doing a large number of unnecessary procedures since they get paid by procedure and not for keeping patient healthy; in fact, they lose money if they keep patient healthy. powerful insurance vested interests prevent reform to this dysfunctional system. but Kirkland has enough business that he does not need to engage in these unethical practices. his hygienists are good and clean teeth conscientiously which again is a rarity. it is almost impossible to find an ethical practice and dentist like this; most have given into the corrupt insurance industry practice read more

I retired from the military after 3 tours in Iraq and 2 in Afghanistan. I returned to Afghanistan as a private contractor and after 34 months in country dental hygiene was not a priority and my teeth suffered severely. Upon returning to the United States a dear friend suggested I see Dr. Kirkland. I have never met a more compassionate and caring dentist. I was so embarrassed and ashamed of the condition of my mouth that it was hard for me to agree to see Dr. Kirkland. However, I swallowed my pride and made the appointment for an evaluation. To my surprise and delight I was treated with respect and without judgement. Following a thorough exam, full mouth x-rays, photographs and consultation, Dr. Kirkland was open and honest and said my mouth was beyond the scope of his expertise. He referred me to several specialists who could help and assist me in the restoration of my mouth. Dr. Kirkland spent over 45 minutes with me evaluating the condition of my teeth, gums and mouth. After his assessment I went to pay for his services and was told there would be "no charge" because there was nothing he could do for me. I am so grateful to him for his honesty, integrity and professionalism. Following Dr. Kirkland's advice I am in the process of a total mouth reconstruction. Upon completion of my surgery with implants Dr. Kirkland will be my dental provider. I would highly recommend Dr. Kirkland and his staff for all of your general dentistry needs. I am so happy to have been referred to Jason Kirkland for my dental needs!! I have been going to him for the normal cleanings, etc., but recently had to have a crown put on a broken tooth. He and his staff did an excellent job and went out of their way to meet my scheduling needs (we were going to be out of town). Once the new crown was put in, it just felt like my own tooth again -- no return visits for adjustments were necessary at all! I highly recommend this office and Dr. Kirkland! read more

The worst thing about moving to a new state is replacing the health providers you had come to trust. This is especially true when searching for a dentist. I started with a couple of bad experiences when I moved here and then I found Dr. Jason Kirkland at Riverside Dental. What a relief! I have been extremely satisfied with his performance of dentistry. He does great work no matter how large or small the task. Details are important to him. I find him to be an attentive listener, empathetic, compassionate, and one who sees the "whole person" and not just a set of teeth. He explains procedures so I can understand what is planned. I am at ease at my appointments knowing he will do the very best. His office is clean and his equipment up-to-date. The general atmosphere is pleasant and happy. His staff are all so pleasant and helpful. They make sure there are no surprises in billing etc. My hygienist is awesome. I highly recommend Dr. Kirkland and his office. read more
