I am sad to say addiction effects many of us & before it touched her she was a top favorite dentist in town. Yes I reported her when she pulled my tooth on meth apparently she was honest and gave up her lisence so she wouldn't lose it permanently I was just out of a rehab myself at that time which was triggering and scary. But everyone makes mistakes I hope she's in recovery and I would be glad to go back if she ever does recover get her lisence back. I reported her because I wasn't happy about how my tooth was pulled plus I didn't know if she was substituting the numbing agent cleaning the needles or anything else she was addicted to meth she was on meth when she pulled my tooth and did not deny to the board of Licensing they contacted me back and let me know this I have it on paper I was trying to find a way to reply to some other clients there on the reviews but they were right that's exactly what I experienced and I have been a client of hers for over 20 years before that so I knew something was wrong all I came here to say is I pray that she is in recovery now and I'm not mad at her I hope she gets her license and her life back together because she was a really fabulous dentist addiction effects everyone every profession bless you if you see this Miss Bradshaw I hope you are in recovery I forgive you

Warning: I spent over $6K for dental work and now I cannot use my teeth. This has been an absolute…read morenightmare of an experience that no one deserves to go through. I went in for a treatment (3 fillings, 3 crowns). I was sent home with 3 teeth that were twice their normal size and jagged. He drilled and filled my cavities, but "forgot" to shave/shape them. Pieces of filling were falling off in chunks in my mouth for the next 2 weeks. The office was not concerned unless it was my temp crowns that were falling apart. When I went back to have my permanent crowns put on (and his unfinished work completed), it was so painful removing the temporary crowns, he had to numb me. He never took any x-rays or looked any further into why I was in so much pain. He just shot me up with novocaine and cemented the permanent crowns on. I was told I could eat whatever I wanted, but my first meal came with excruciating pain. The crown was not placed correctly. It was much too long. I called the office, and they had me come back for a bite adjustment. I was told to give it two weeks, the pain won't go away immediately because I probably bruised the nerve. Three weeks later I called the office again, as the pain was no better. I was referred straight to an oral surgeon for a root canal without any further evaluation (after being told I did not need a root canal). There was zero compassion for the pain I was experiencing, or the malpractice that occurred in their office. I politely asked for a refund on the one tooth in the amount of $1,666 (since he refused to look at his work that was causing my pain). They refused to refund my money unless I came back in for an evaluation after they refused to evaluate the issue. I could eat anything I wanted to before I let this man touch my teeth, and now I cannot eat anything but soft foods. They let me suffer through the holidays like this. That's how much these people "care" about their patients. I have contacted my attorney, and we are pursuing legal action as a result of these personal injuries. Save yourself the hassle, and choose a different dentist. Please don't end up like me! My teeth are bigger on the right side than they are on the left now. I will be looking into veneers to cover up this embarrassing new look he gave me once I get my crown fixed. I had pretty teeth before I came here, so this is quite stressful and depressing. This guy will straight up BOTCH YOUR TEETH!

I went in to have a small amount of pitting (from wear and bruxism) filled- an optional procedure as I didn't have cavities- and left with a mouth full of composite and now can't bite down normally. This is my first holiday with my son, which will now be completely ruined due to the dental treatment THAT I DID NOT GIVE PERMISSION TO HAVE DONE. It was mentioned to me after the fact when I was unable to speak due to anaesthesia. When my spouse called after the procedure to inquire why my teeth no longer met at all to bite down normally, she was told that the dentist had "opened my bite". WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, WITH NO DISCUSSION WHATSOEVER. I still could not talk, but Valencia said he was on call the next day and to call him, if needed. No wonder he told my spouse "she will hate me for about a week". Yes, that is definitely the case. At this point, I have called five times with no response. My holiday is ruined, I can't eat normal food, and will clearly need to have more dental work completed to fix this incompetent, illegal treatment. As there as no response and nobody apparently on call, I plan to contact the AZ State Board of Dental Examiners and my attorney. This is grossly incompetent and negligent care that was completed without any agreement from me. I went in for a small procedure and left hours later having had an incompetent, completely different treatment done- and no response or recourse for aftercare. Other signs of complete incompetence: (1) The dental technician only numbed 3 of the 4 areas to be worked on- and, when I told her I was having small fillings in four areas, she told me that I wasn't- just in three. Of course, halfway through the procedure, when my jaw was propped open because I could not hold it open any longer on my own due to fatigue (which the dentist would have known would be the case if he'd ever taken a dental history from me or, in fact, had any discussion at all).... the dentist realized that there was to be a filling in the lower right molar and had to stop halfway through to go through another round of injections. (2) I had to have 5 rounds of multiple injections in all 4 areas (upper and lower back molars and TMJ area) throughout the procedure because the dentist could not, apparently, manage to numb the area. Instead of reconsidering whether things were going well and to continue or not, he plowed ahead and I was unable to speak to have any discussion by then. (3) I have been a patient of Dr. Crawford for years. I met Juan Valencia once, briefly, after a teeth cleaning when he explained that the small pits should be filled- a procedure the office said would take about an hour. In reality, he added composite to 8 molars and, with no discussion, decided to "open my bite". Is he even an orthodontist? I simply had a teeth cleaning and agreed to have 4 small pits filled, not an unauthorized orthodontic procedure from a dentist I'd met once for less than 5 minutes. (4) He took NO dental history, did not even speak to me before beginning the procedure by which time I was already numb and having difficulty speaking, anyway. He did not mention any intention to do work beyond what was agreed upon. What he might have found out was that I have had consultations with highly respected orthodontists and oral surgeons in the past regarding TMJ condition and, thus, I would have NOT needed any such consultation or treatment from Juan Valencia whom I'd met once for 5 minutes and knew NOTHING about my dental or health history. (5) He did not even speak to me after the procedure, but rushed out to the next procedure. He was probably behind because he was doing way more than I agreed to AND had to stop halfway through to do more numbing since they hadn't done it from the start, despite me telling the dental technician that I was to have 4, not 3 fillings. So, to recap, they did not know where they putting the fillings, then proceeded to give me an undiscussed and completely unauthorized orthodontic treatment that has left me (1) unable to eat normally (2) unable to bite down and have any but 2 of my molars meet (3) ruined my first holiday with my baby (medically fragile) son and (4) unknowable repercussions to my jaw/TMJ/bite and (5) completely unresponsive on the "emergency" line, despite yesterday assuring me that he would be available once I was able to speak. I was a patient of Dr. Crawford specifically because he was conservative and did not push unnecessary treatments onto his patients. For me, this is truly a complete nightmare and the health consequences are likely to be significant. This was incompetent, negligent- and possibly illegal- care as he did a completely different procedure from the one I agreed to without any medical emergency to dictate doing so.

I agreed to schedule a separate visit for a cleaning. There was nothing comprehensive about my exam. They took X-rays, and Dr. Skinner briefly looked in my mouth. Almost immediately, the visit shifted into a sales pitch for Invisalign, a treatment I never expressed interest in. It felt very coordinated, as the assistant pulled up my insurance information, which seemed to prompt the discussion about pricing and discounts. Dr. Skinner spent over 20 minutes trying to convince me to commit to Invisalign that same day, repeatedly emphasizing discounts and even offering additional incentives if my husband and I both signed up. The entire experience felt more like a sales appointment than a medical visit, and I felt very uncomfortable with the pressure. I eventually declined and decided to seek care elsewhere. After transferring my X-rays to another dentist, I learned that one of my molars had a crack and needed a crown, something Dr. Skinner completely missed. I'm disappointed in both the lack of thoroughness and the aggressive sales tactics. I would not recommend this office to anyone looking for patient-centered, comprehensive dental care. Avoid this office unless you want your dental experience to feel like you're at a used car dealership.
