I wanted a facial that would work to improve my skin problems: mature skin, sun damage, fine wrinkles and lines, tired and stressed skin. Juana spent several minutes listening to what I thought were my problem areas and my expectations. She then suggested a medical facial. I immediately trusted Jauna and gave her permission to do "whatever she thought I needed". During the medical facial she asked permission to do a mini peel. I agreed. A medical facial is far more in depth and intense than a spa facial. I was never in pain but I could feel the materials she applied in a tingling sort of way. The mini peel was a little more intense, but still I never felt uncomfortable. During the procedure Juana explained to me what she was doing and why. At the end Juana wanted me to keep the product on my face with instructions not to wash me face until this morning. Leaving her office I felt uplifted and felt that this facial is the best facial I ever had. Plus I felt that I had an Esthetician that was actually addressing my skin problems. Today I washed my face. Wow! My skin looks amazing, The skin was extremely clean, fine lines and age spots were reduced, and my skin is absolutely glowing. I look several years younger with just the one visit. I keep looking in the mirror in awe of what Juana accomplished with just one visit. The medical facial and mini-peel cost $200 which I thought was quite reasonable for what I received. Juana does not accept tips Juana is knowledgeable, highly skilled, upbeat, and very friendly. She never pressured me to buy products. She also freely shared her knowledge with me. I made another appointment for the last of February. I am so excited by the results I see in my skin after just one visit that I can hardly wait for my next visit. Juana also does permanent cosmetics. I want her to dye my eye lashes so I no longer have to wear mascara. I absolutely recommend Juana Shin. The results are amazing.

The salon is very clean and relaxing. Arezoo does the threading, but call for an appointment. I have never been more satisfied at a salon and will follow her for the rest of my life! I go to her every 2-3 weeks and she always takes her time to make sure every hair has been taken care of. Additionally, she explained that she wanted certain areas to grow out slowly to give the brows a better shape! So knowledgeable and she only charges $5 which is much less than I have ever paid, and she does such a wonderful job its nice to tip well. Make sure you call for an appointment though as she lives out of town and only comes in certain days.

I've got blond brows that definitely got a wake-up call. She even helped fill them in for me. Pleasant surprise! I cleaned up in the fancy bathroom and was on my way. $10 bucks later and my eyebrows left happy. Call ahead for an appointment because the master threader is not always in. I've had some issues with previous massage therapists not really wanting to touch me after discussing some of my body issues (srsly, if scoliosis freaks you out, maybe go back to school for a bit?), so I called Olga and we spent a ton of time on the phone discussing a number of issues I wanted worked on, how to approach them, and what I could expect. I knew after that phone call I found my happy massage place :) Olga's studio is on the second floor of a building in the heart of downtown Wilmette. It's bright, open, airy, and super welcoming. Also, since Olga offers facials, I saw a ton of awesome looking skincare that I can't wait to dig into on my next visit. I got a 60 minute therapeutic massage (which was truly 60 minutes), which can include anything from cupping, to deep tissue, to swedish massage, and man, did I get my butt kicked. I had no idea how ridiculously tight I had gotten, and how difficult it was for me to just relax. Olga worked on everything we had discussed, and at the end I was so impressed I bought a 5 pack (for only $475!), and am getting my husband in to see her asap. Yup, from now on Olga's massages are gonna be #1 when it comes to making sure my old butt gets the maintenance it needs.
