The Jashita Hotel was by far the most impressive part of my trip. From top to bottom the hotel staff had it dialed in. I would come back to Tulum just to stay at the Jashita!!! Thank you for an awesome stay!

Free kayaks, SUPS and snorkel equipment available for guests at Adventure Shack on beach. Boat excursions and diving available for addtl fee

A few weeks back we decided we need an escape from the Midwest winter and illnesses that had been plaguing us. We wanted a place that offered a non-stop flight and because Tulum was on our radar, we choose this area. Our criteria for choosing a hotel: beachfront with swimming/snorkeling right out front, pools, A/C, and superb dining. Jashita marked all these boxes & stood out in the reviews. But the standard room we wanted was not available for online booking for our 5th and final night. I sent a quick email and was notified immediately that the room was not available, but they would upgrade for free to a superior plunge pool suite for that last night. They helped us arrange our 90min transfer with VIP Cancun Transportation (we had a hiccup when the driver locked our luggage in the running suv at the airport- they sent us ahead in another suv and brought the luggage as soon as they retrieved another set of keys). When we arrived at Jashita, we knew we made the right choice. We found they had upgraded us to the superior plunge pool suite for our entire stay. Abi, Raphael, Tommaso, and the rest of the staff made sure we wanted for nothing! I wish I could remember all of their names to give everyone accolades! The snorkeling (equipment is free for guests) in the Soliman Bay was unexpectedly good - I saw many tropical fish of all sizes. They also offer kayaks and SUPS for free, in addition to providing a beach bag and flip flops for every guest. Great touches. You can book any type of adventure excursion to the Cenotes, ruins, scuba diving, etc.. We just grabbed a taxi to the Gran Cenote on our own because we wanted a quick trip. Definitely recommend a trip to one of the many Cenotes when down here! The beach bar is great, and don't miss the free Sangria hour daily at the rooftop pool. The rest of the hotel grounds are quiet (except for the birds, roosters, and other jungle wildlife sounds). Not a place if you're looking for a party scene. It's a true international guest, boutique hotel. The restaurant Pandano was really one of our favorite parts of the resort. Tulum is known for its great restaurants, but we never felt the need to spend time in a taxi to go elsewhere for food. We did walk down the beach to Chamicos restaurant for lunch one day - definitely don't miss this! We actually watched the them make our ceviche from fish that had just been caught. You can tell this place is a local fave. Another plus, breakfast at Pandano is included for free in your room rate. And the owner, Clemente, will come around and chat with all the guests and ask if there's anything you need. Great way to start every day. A couple random ideas I had for improvement: add some type of aromatherapy scents (give another layer to the relaxation and leave your guests with a scent memory of the hotel) and get a hotel dog. Adopt one of the homeless downtown Tulum pups and make him the hotel mascot. Another hotel had one and that's all everyone talked about. It was hard leaving Jashita, but we definitely left recharged. Exactly what we we're looking for. So happy we made this decision!!

Stayed here for my first visit to Mexico! Where to begin…read more.. One ; it's far from the main city's about 45-1hr away from the main tourist towns. A taxi will cost 50-75$ depending on your driver ; rates seem to changed even when coming & going to same location. So having a rental at this location of the hotel might be better idea however please be aware this hotel is down a bumpy long dirt road! Two( Check in) went pretty while expect for the paper signing about 20 papers than I was told to make sure all my signatures matches my passport as they may have to call me back out if the owner does not agree with them ( Wierd) .Also got a free welcome drink of choice which was nice !!! Third( room) ; just as described; I booked the deluxe room which had a private shared pool with 2 others. WIFI went in and out. Pretty bad if you need to do work or school work as I did being I took a summer class.( I didn't allow housekeeping to come while there and I didn't use the safe just to keep everything safe as I read other reviews on Travelocity. Shower Water did get warm after I realized the correct way to turn it ( my fault) ! Fourth( hotel restaurant) it said free breakfast which from reviews I read was free a few months ago it's no longer free the only thing that was is a choice of ( coffee, orange or fruit) you pick 1.. disappointing since that was one of my reason of booking the hotel ! Also breakfast was not too pricey but dinner and drink are like if we're in the us ! No difference in price. I also ordered a certain breakfast plate which they did not make correctly it was missing two items .. Fifth( pool/beach) ; I use the top balcony pool once it was nice with an amazing view. Beach was rocky and had a lot of seaweed I did not even go on the beach even tho it had a lounge chairs . Best part; the view ; staff was very nice & friendly ! It's very secluded & private if that's what your looking for. Covid testing was 120 each usd Covid testing cheaper elsewhere noticed after being taxi too a bar and it's many other places just a heads up but at least they provided it . A doctor will be called to hotel and sent to your room ; get results in a few hours !

The hotel has been newly renovated with a mid century modern meets natural artisan feel, each room has an oceanfront view and floor level rooms have access to the pools right outside the slider doors on their deck. Second and third level rooms have a generous sized balconies to enjoy picturesque views of the ocean. The beach in front of the hotel is a private beach, with access to using kayaks, paddle boards and water sports for free. You can also get a beachside massage if you'd wish. Front desk staff was super helpful making reservations at restaurants in town, getting excursions arranged, and calling safe, reliable taxis. Breakfast was included in our stay and was amazing, fresh, local food that did not disappoint. Lunch and dinner was also wonderful and the wait staff are so sweet and friendly. They also make a yummy skinny margarita. Most staff are bilingual, too. Our room had a king size bed and a queen sized futon for our teen daughters. All newly renovated rooms and baths. Our rooms were extremely clean and well stocked/maintained. We would definitely return to Alea Tulum!

The hotel is on a private beach area with one road in and out. Security stops you to make sure you have a room somewhere. That road is not the greatest, several potholes so drive slow. The restaurant and bar are small but nice. Doesn't need to be huge, since there are only 18 rooms here. The food and drinks are very good too. Breakfast was included. Not some continental breakfast crap either. It's off the regular menu and delicious. Everything we we ate for breakfast and dinner was very good. Pool is small too but not alot of traffic anyway. Feels like your own private infinity pool about 30 feet from the ocean. Very refreshing after swimming in the salt water all day in the sun. There are two paddle boards and two kayaks. The front desk has the oars, paddles, and life vests if needed. No additional price. Nice private pier. They do massages out at the end if you want one. Not sure on the pricing. The beach area has about 6 sets of chairs with a table and umbrella to relax. The staff with come check on you and bring out whatever you request. The water is beautiful! Only about 2 1/2 feet deep out all the way to the end of the pier. It looks greenish blue because of all the large rocks and plants. There are thousands of fish swimming in schools right there. Snorkeling is outstanding. You can snorkel way out there. The water was only about 5 feet and beautiful blue out about quarter mile. It think that we were closer to 1/2 mile before it got too deep to touch the floor. 8 of the rooms are oceanfront with a terrace just feet from the water. Beautiful views! Room comes with a small refrigerator. The only negative about the room is the main shower. The water only comes out like rain or something, only drips on you. The bath has another shower though that works just fine. Overall, this place is highly recommended.

The concierge service was helpful they were able to call restaurant and cabs for us. The location of Mi Amor was also great, not that far from tulum ruins. We ate breakfast basically every morning at the hotel and we enjoyed everything from the pancakes, granola, oat, avocado toast, teas, and coffees. For lunch and dinner we ate at Mezzanine, casa Maria, and also went outside of the national park down by the hotel zone. There is also a beautiful beach, and the resort is a short walk to the town of Akumal. Activities were endless (in the morning). There are also some activities that have a limit on participants, so you may need to reserve early such as midnight for paddleboarding, or get to them at least an hour early to have a spot. Unfortunately pools were shutdown by 7. There were multiple restaurant/food options. Drinks were everywhere! There was also drink service at the pools. Room service was included and mini fridge restocked everyday. Tipping was not expected here, but they did accept pesos / US dollars. Overall an amazing experience. Secrets is an adults-only resort, so you wouldn't see any kids running around. We were there for a week, and it was a really nice and relaxing time. It was a really nice adult vacation where all you do is eat and drink. Also, the resort offers activities you can join, but some require advance sign-up, which you can do through the app or your building's concierge. There were a good number of restaurants that you could go to. And there was a good number of bars as well. The staff was really nice and frendly always greeting you and making sure that you are okay. One downside is that if you want to lie at the beach, you will need to get there early to get a chair. A majority of the time, we were at the quiet pool, where people would just be doing their own thing, such as reading a book, on their phone, or just taking a nap. Some people would go into the pool from time to time. But definitely more relaxing.

We stayed in a beautiful ocean front room next to the pool. It was great views, beautiful sunrises and our son loved jumping right in the pool each morning. The hotel is just finishing up an additional block of new rooms, including rooms with private hot tubs on the porch/balcony overlooking the ocean. There is also a second lap-style swimming pool located in their gardens they are just finishing installation and it's really tranquil and lush in the garden. Provided with your hotel stay is continental breakfast, kayaks and two long decks out into the ocean where you can nap in a hammock or dive off the stairs into the reef. The reef is rather close to the surface for a looooong way(s) out. Great for diving! If you plan to go out into the water, I recommend bringing water shoes- the beaches are a mix of soft sand and reef as you walk up and down the shoreline, but once in the ocean it is all rocky reef. On the second deck out over the water are 2 massage tables and throughout the day couples and singles were out over the water getting their massages- looked very heavinly. The road to get to the hotel is located behind a guard gate and the hotel can order taxis for you most times day or night to get to and from town. If you prefer to rent a car, probably best to rent a larger vehicle, as this is a real "back-road kinda road" in every sense of the potholes. For breakfast and nightcaps, walk over to Casa Cenote - where they play the best rock & blues music, have inexpensive but quality food & drinks, and the best views under a huge palapa. Next to that is a dive shop, where you can order a trip out fishing or diving in small boats and of course, THE Cenote is right behind the dive shop, and this one is less touristy than some up north. I would highly recommend Blue Sky Boutique to families, groups, couples looking to really get away. It's in the perfect location for just being in nature and finding peace and quiet.

The staff (shout out to Hector and Alexis and Fernando and Beto and Pedro and so many more!) was incredibly friendly, helpful, and down to earth. The hotel is super nice and down a dirt road with some other boutique hotels and houses 10-15min from town. We had a "partial ocean view" room which was very partial, ha, but on the upside, it was very private. If you're going for stunning views of the ocean, spring for the full ocean view rooms. Then again, those are less private and we really enjoyed how cozy and far-away-feeling our room was. Beds are great, AC works great, even the little Nespresso pods were delicious. Honestly the hotel is gorgeous. A highlight of the trip was my birthday night at the hotel restaurant, where I celebrated with two other ladies from Seattle, one from New Mexico, one from Luxembourg, and Fernando, our waiter! It was a riot. Lots of tequila and cake were consumed. I'd recommend renting a car if you stay at Blue Sky and want to do excursions (which you will, trust me! Coba and the Gran Centoe were our favs) but DON'T rent one from a second-party, like Orbitz or Kayak, or you may get screwed over (insurance is a big thing in Mexico), so do yourself a favor and rent directly from the rental's site. Parking was easy. Overall we were thrilled with our experience and had a wonderful time. I highly recommend staying at Blue Sky Tulum and I can't wait to go back!
