Oh my GOD. Where do I start? Here is my experience NO PAIN / MINIMAL PAIN / EXCELLENT SKILL. First, I had took my mom to the first DDS ("Dr. Of Pain") and not Campbell for teeth cleaning and fillings. As a result from Dr. Of Pain my mom had suffered a pain that is 1. unberable and 2. outright screaming. I mean how could this be, she had no problem with the DDS in Los Angeles and never encountered this "painful" experience. The Dr of Pain asked, first the hygenist administered and numbed gum area and 2nd, then a different person so called Dr (so young 25 yrs old female with tatoo all over) and did the "INJECTION". Oh my God, my mom was screaming and crying and go "mmmm....haaaa...G*&&*9111...sheeejeee. .sss...uuusss heeelp" it was so painful to watch... My mom felt (I can felt it)..."S.O.S. son....H_E_L_P..." Then Dr. Of Pain the Third Person came in and did the work on cleaning. I was wondering why "Dr. Of Pain" had 3 different people doing the simple procedures for teeth cleaning. It was first numbing , injection and then clean. All three different people...What da fock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No focking way. If you don't know, "injection of the anesthetic" to numb the pain is an "artistic skill acquired thru years of experience" making the patient a painless and even a pleasant experience. Men...it was so heart broken to watch your mom going thru yet you can not do anything. It's like watching a live crucifixion. I could never forget. I got piss-off, "canceled all the treatment plan" then searched on YELP "No Pain DDS Cedar Park". I stumble upon Dr. Jarrod Campbell, DDS. I scheduled the treatment for my mom. Oh boy, Am I so relief and satisfied. My mom went in for the treatment of the fillings and she said "the pain was minimal and I kinda not really felt it and it was the best compared to the Dr Of Pain" she said. Thank God Dr. Campbell. He did everything. Numbing, injection of the anesthetic and then did the work. He is ONE person Doctor with 10-20 staffs and hygienists. This is how it suppose to be. With today's Private Equity (Leverage Buyout...buying a Dental Practice with No Money Down, that is right, people are doing it, pooling money together) buying shops everywhere making private practice with loading up with corporate bank debt and owner is out on FIJI island drinking Taquilla (sold the practice to Leverage Budd Out / PE firms and only a Doctor administering the work but not doing, and SPEED is the name of the game, here for all procedures on how fast you can do in a limited time and hour. She offered me coffee or water and also they gave me a tour of the office. Dr. Campbell was very precise going through the concerns I had. He was very good at explaining treatment. My previous dental office the staff barely talked. But the assistant at Campbell Dental was very personable. She sat and chatted with me for awhile. I love how everyone made me feel so welcome. How often does a dentist get a five star review? Pretty freaking often if you're Dr. Campbell, it seems. Let me take you on a journey to the greatest visit to the dentist you will ever have. First of all, you hate calling doctor's offices. You work in a cube environment, and everyone does not need to know your business. Never fear, Dr. Campbell's online office is HERE! I was able to set up my ENTIRE appointment over email. Do you know how glorious that is? I didn't have to find the phone number, call the number, leave a voicemail, wait on hold, call back to confirm, or any of the annoying things that go along with communicating over the phone. Nope, I sent in an email through his website and said I was interested in getting a new patient consult and a cleaning. Three emails back and forth later, I had an appointment set up and all the paperwork I was going to need for my first appointment. When the day of your appointment comes - you arrive at Dr. Campbell's conveniently located office, are greeted by the friendly receptionist, and then BAM - you remember you left all the paperwork she emailed you on your desk back at work. Well, darn. No worries though, she is happy to give you plenty of time to fill out the paperwork again while you enjoy complimentary beverages in one of the comfy leather armchairs in the waiting room. Once you've got all your paperwork ready to go, you're suddenly a little nervous. It's been awhile since you last went to the dentist. You just had a giant sandwich with pesto for lunch - what if there is stuff on your teeth? What if you have stinky breath AT THE DENTIST?! Oh, what's that you hear? You can use the restroom and they have complimentary toothbrushes for you? Oh SNAPS. You're back in the waiting room and it's time for you to go in - they are so on top of the schedule that your butt has barely even warmed the chair. You have no time to be nervous, it's game time. The technician takes you in and lets you get settled in a state-of-the-art chair - she takes some x-rays while you wear headphones and watch Matt Damon be dreamy in some movie with that British chick whose name no one remembers. When she's done Glamour-Shot-ing your mouth, Dr. Campbell arrives. Cue scary music, right? Wrong! Dr. Campbell is probably the nicest dentist you have EVER met! He doesn't judge you when you tell him that you haven't been to a dentist in an embarrassingly long time, he's actually quite understanding. He talks you through what he's going to do before he sticks any instruments in your mouth and asks if you have any questions. Why no, Dr. Campbell, you say - I think I understand exactly how this is going to go. He starts checking out your mouth and telling you stuff as he goes about any issues you might have, maybe even how impressed he is that your teeth look so good despite the fact that you haven't been to a dentist in so long. And then you're done. And you're like, wait a minute - surely, you have some treatment plan for me, right Dr. Campbell? I must have some sort of issues from avoiding that chair, right? No, he says! Your mouth looks great, I don't recommend any unnecessary services, he says! You rejoice. When it's time to pay, you happily hand over your cash since the receptionist was kind enough to find out how much your services were going to cost. You schedule your cleaning for the following week and have another amazing experience with the technician in Dr. Campbell's office! When it's all over, you hope that Dr. Campbell liked you as much as you loved his practice. You and your teeth intend to keep seeing him for a very very long time. read more

Based upon Yelp reviews - and the fact that Campbell Dental is like..literally right down the street, my husband and I have started going here. Sure enough, the Yelp reviews are spot on - Dr. Campbell and his staff are fantastic. From reception to dental assistant, to the doctor himself, to my hygienist who cleaned my teeth, everyone was smiling, very nice and incredibly helpful. Even though I hadn't been to the dentist in a while, I was actually surprised that my cleaning didn't feel like it took forever...usually it feels that way to me. Simply overwhelmed with being impressed by Dr Campbell and his staff. Recently I needed a "new" dentist because my other preferred one (near by you could say) always seemed to have MONTHS to wait for the next appointment AND they would charge me extra money for unexpected cancellations; as a dad sometimes things happen in life and you can't make an appointment. So this led me to finding Dr. Campbell via Yelp. With no delays they were able to set me up a new patient appointment for myself and my daughter BOTH at the same time. (very convenient) With all of the regular "first appointment" stuff expected, I was flattered with all of the technology and up to date processes they use here. First, the staff was able to easily locate the information from my employers Dental plan, so I had minimal effort to perform other than filling out forms and signing the usual HIPPA stuff. (thanks Kristi) Second, updated technology EVERYWHERE. I could not believe that I was paying the same (if not more) fees at a different dentist and their "modern/current" equipment was so far out of date? At Dr. Campbell's office they have the best of modern portable handheld X-Ray devices (no longer huge bulking machines), real time 3D imaging for panorex, DSLR photography to document your dental progress/work, and simple sterilization equipment that does not make it seem like a "medical" office, but just an office. I truly commented on how great they use all of these tools to give you a COMPLETE review and analysis of your issues. This information may seem huge, but it allows you to understand where they are coming from and what expectations that you can have. Plus, seeing a 3D display of my panorex like an MRI is pretty impressive for a little office. Third, professionalism is everywhere. At no point anywhere or in any stage of my visit did anyone try to confuse me with terminology, billing jargon, or process confusion. Everyone, from check in to medical procedures, was able to explain in detail what was expected and what the next steps would be. If I had a comment or question, they simply answered it no matter what it was. Fourth, medical processes and procedures are outstanding. I had to have some serious crown work performed, because of reasons unknown to me (could it have been my previous dentists work?) and Dr Campbell and his team (Michelle) were amazing when they worked on my mouth. They were able to get everything completed in about 2 hours for a crown replacement because they scan, print, create, mill, and bake it ALL ON SITE. Then they mount it with the most current procedures and it fits you as if you cannot see that it is a crown. Simply as good as the original tooth. I mean seriously, I didn't even feel him giving me a shot to numb my mouth. THAT right there takes a gentle hand and a doctor who knows what they are doing! Fifth, the office and room environment is relaxing and hospitable for everyone. At no point do you feel stressed about sitting in a sanitized office with stale air and old magazines. None of that exists here. Everything is comfortable and each room has a TV to keep you preoccupied during your procedure (they are even on the ceiling). Lastly, they are truly a caring team from first appointment to after treatment. From the dental hygienist Nicole to any work that you may need to have done by Dr Campbell, they provide TOTAL CARE. And the biggest compliment that drove me to write such a passionate review? After care home follow-up; okay, maybe not at my home, but no other dentist has EVER called me hours after a serious appointment just to check on me and see how I was feeling. NO ONE. So that was a touch of professionalism that went far beyond a "co-pay and thank you very much" attitude. Overall, I cannot attest high enough about the professional team and staff at Dr Campbell's office. It is a rare and unique time that I do not mind spending my money at a dentist office and adhering to the advice of what they recommend. The work they say that needs to be done is not only accurate, but it is shown to you and backed up by the data in front of you. A great team and all of them are great professionals. read more

Excellent staff, excellent care. Calming, relaxed atmosphere... no "chopshop" style service here. They focus on you and your dental health as soon as you set foot in the office, rather than trying to get as many patients in and out as possible. The most painless cavity filling I've ever experienced--even the numbing injection, which is normally the most painful part in my opinion, didn't hurt, not even a little (and the numbing stuff on the cotton swab before the injection actually tasted decent:). I woke up this morning in the worst pain in my life and Dr Campbell's office helped so much that I almost have my paranoia and terror of dentists alleviated. hah I picked his office because it is next door to my job and I needed help immediately, but I can't think as to what good kharma I was owed that I lucked out in finding not only a dentist with open time on such short notice, but also one with a staff of super nice, attentive people [offering me a blanket and commiserating with me on the agony I was in]. Called in medicine for me at the pharmacy in the same complex right then and got all of my referral and follow up plans worked out in superstar time. Fixed my bad tooth and I feel great! I had a tooth in need of a crown and thought possibly root canal treatment. I had been going to another dentist and was a little frustrated with the service there. Dr. Campbell diagnosed me accurately with a crown. He was able to build the crown in his office saving a lot of time. He is professional and the staff actually called two different times checking on me. Ughhh... how I hate dental work, I'm such a wuss and avoid dentists like the plague. When I shattered a crown on a business trip I was dreading getting it fixed. When I got back I searched for a dentist and Dr. Campbell came highly recommended from our children's Pediatric Dentist. I visited Dr. Campbell for the first time this week to have the crown done, I was impressed that they were able to do the whole process in house on the same day without having to send out for the crown... being able to do everything in one appointment was so easy. The staff was great from the beginning to the end. A truly great experience for me. The dental work itself was painless, his expertise shows both in how understanding/comforting he was and also in his skills to get the work done quickly and gently. This was the first time I've had a dentist use a bite rest, which was comfortable and for the first time I left the dentist office without having jaw pain for a week after. I was one of those people who refused to go to the dentist because I HATE going to the dentist. So, for 10 years, I didn't go. Then one day, I had an infection and didn't have any other choice but to face my fears. I was referred to Dr. C's practice by the oral surgeon who fixed my infection and told me I needed to get over myself and start going to the dentist. Dr. Campbell's staff is amazing. They've all taken their time to listen to my fears and anxiety over dentistry and work with me, patiently, to make my smile brighter. I went to this dentist office for the first time yesterday and I absolutely loved it! The office is comfortable and inviting and the receptionist welcomed me with a warm greeting. There was no wait and I was seen at my exact appointment time. The staff gave me a tour of the facility and did a great job at explaining to me what to expect during my visit. The environment was so relaxing that I almost fell asleep during my cleaning! We are a family of 6! All of us had the pleasure of meeting and being treated by Dr. Campbell and his staff. I had a crown replaced and was able to pick a movie on Netflix to watch during my procedure. He was finished just as the movie was ending - perfect timing! My kids all had their teeth cleaned and sealants put on, my husband and I had cleanings. The staff are all friendly and funny. I have been going to the same dentist since I was 13 (I'm 44 now) and was perfectly happy with him, but looking for someone closer to my house - I'm sold on Dr. Campbell and his staff. All six of us are now his permanent patients! Campbell Dental is a very up to date clinic with high tech equipment use. I received a porcelain filling and cleaning. Only problem is I received a payment at the end of the service which was expected but they fail to tell you they will possibly be sending another payment in the mail weeks after the visit. Due to there lack of consistency I now have another bill I have to pay which was very unexpected. When I called the clinic their phone lines were not open on time; by the time I told my issue to the receptionist she seemed very nonchalant about the whole issue & did not apologize! If you want to spend a arm & leg on dental I suggest you use this dentistry. Its truly not about the money but the principle of the whole situation & how they handled it! Let's be honest...who really likes going to the dentist...Not me! But after today's visit at Dr. Campbell's office, I smile a little brighter. A month or so there was a Groupon offer for complete xray, exam and cleaning so I took advantage of it. I hadn't been to the dentist in close to 3 years so I was afraid of what was lurking between the molars and canines. I know it's not smart to go so long without seeing a dentist, and I still have my wisdom teeth so I should know better. I was greeted immediately on arrival, did a little more paperwork and was promptly seem on time. The office equipment is state of the art and everything ran smoothly. For those with real phobias you can watch a DVD or listen to music. The exam went well, the Dr was professional and courteous and took time to answer questions. The hygienist was also very good. She didn't berate me for my lack of cleaning s for three years and she didn't take out her frustrations with the pick and my gums.... I would recommend this practice to anyone who is looking for a dentist in the 38th St area. And I will be back in 6th months this time for another cleaning. read more

I had been going to see Dr. Campbell for the past couple of years, and overall had been very satisfied. The quality of the clinic was much higher than my previous dentist (360 degree skull X rays to look for oral cancer, watching movies while getting your teeth cleaned), and for the most part the staff was friendly and competent. However, I recently had a very negative experience after calling to make an appointment for an exam and cleaning. The receptionist quoted me one price over the phone, but when I checked out after my appointment, the price was $12 more than what I was quoted. When I pointed this out to the receptionist, she apologized, said I must have made a mistake, and then told me, "It's only 12 dollars," which completely minimized my concerns. Obviously, it's possible that I misheard her quote. However, regardless of who made the mistake, the appropriate response would have been, "I"m sorry, there must have been a miscommunication. We can credit your account the $12 today, but it will be X dollars next time," which I would have completely understood. I decided to call back later to have my records transferred. When I again brought up the reason for my leaving the clinic, the receptionist apologized nicely and told me there was no way she could have credited my account. It was that type of short-sighted and non-empathetic attitude that made me feel justified in leaving as a client. After all, what is $12 to a dental clinic when someone without insurance typically spends hundreds a year on cleanings and X-rays? Overall, I feel that the quality of the practice is high, but the level of customer service needs significant improvement. If you choose this clinic, I recommend getting a quote of the expected service mailed to you when making a future appointment to avoid this type of frustration. read more

Dr Campbell and his staff are professional, relational and empathetic. Earlier this year, I had a broken/chipped tooth and my dentist (nearby) could not work me in for nearly two weeks! I was not in pain but it was something I did not feel should go on for two weeks. This dentist office worked me in to have a temporary fix and a few days later have a full crown (which was done in one day in the office!) My only problem- it took me nearly four years (& two other dentists) until I found this office! Now we are moving, I wish we had found this office sooner. The dental assistant and I were like Laverne and shirley we laughed so hard it took like a half hour to do my x rays. Everyone on staff was so sincere and real. You knew they weren't just being nice bc it was their job but because they were genuinely interested in providing great customer service. The Dr was so gentle and considerate about cleaning my teeth first time ever that cleaning didn't make my gums bleed despite being a fairly avid flosser. They also didn't feed me a lot of lines like wow you need braces or let's pull those wisdom teeth. They asked me at beginning what botthered me most about my teeth and addressed those concerns instead of pulling random procedures out of a hat or making me feel like I needed a whole mouth make over. I am disappointed to say I'm moving to San antonio and may not be able to use them as my dentist anymore but they are definitely worth the drive up from San Antonio! read more

The good citizens of Cedar Park and North Austin you have received one of the top Dentist in the Hill Country. Living in Dripping Springs I can't get to Dr. Campbell since he moved his office, still not happy with the move! You got a great Dentist who believes in doing the job right the first time. Just a little story on Dr. Campbell, I had to have a root canal and another Dentist performed the crown. Immediately I could tell the crown was off and incorrect but kept it. I visited Dr, Campbell and after he saw the crown he immediately fixed it without charge. He's a perfectionist and believes in the code of ethics. You're lucky to have him wish he was still on 38th street. Dang it Campbell! read more

Thank you to Dr. Campbell and his team. AMAZING! Ever since I was little I dreaded going to the Dentist... until now. The office is gorgeous, the staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable and I was impressed with the amount of time they take to get to know each patient. They used their state-of-the-art CEREC restoration service for two of my old cavities that had some issues and no pain at all! Soon I will be starting Invisalign with them.
