There was consistently a line, so I could tell it's a popular spot. Plenty of people inside sitting at tables and on their laptops too. I only saw street parking. Not sure what else is available in the area.

My colleagues and I came here post-hike, looking for a coffee and some fuel and that's exactly what we got. I went with the Ube latte, m one of the specials, and it was so good! It had the perfect balance of sweetness, creaminess, and nuttiness thanks to the Ube flavor. My friend got the honey latte, which I tried and was also very delicious. The menu has lots of creative options. Another colleague I was with got the espresso tonic with Yuzu, which was another winner. We also tried some of the protein balls which were surprisingly delicious! The menu prices are slightly high, but because they are in no tipping café it evens out pretty nicely. If I'm ever back in Boulder, I will absolutely come back here!

I was visiting from California trying to find myself in the purple mountains of majesty in Boulder Colorado to embrace the ever fleeting cold that I'm not accustomed to. I was hiking about 20 miles west of January coffee in the thick dense vegetation y'all are known for on my way to Kiowa peak when all of the sudden I lost my footing and fell down a ravine breaking my legs. I was scared and alone wondering "How am I going to get out of here!? Jesus if you're there send someone!" When all of the sudden John and Kristi popped out of the woods and found me. They were in the woods foraging for fresh herbs and spices that they use at their shop. It was by Gods grace they were put in my path. Kristi fixed my broken legs by falling an already dead tree and fashioning splints out of the tree bark, she then looked me straight in the eyes and told me that I can get through this, in a tone that only a loving soul would know. Then John threw me over his broad shoulders and carried me the 20 miles back to January coffee. John was whispering in my ear the whole way back "you're going to be ok sweetie". I believed him. Mostly because you can always trust good looking people. They got me medical help once we had cell service. The next day because of their actions they received the key to the city and the Pope actually praised them on Twitter. I actually named my child after both of them out of reverence. Great coffee shop, I wouldn't be who I am today if it weren't for January coffee. Would visit again. Also great seating options to work for a long period of time. read more

We've been regulars at Bad Ass Coffee in Boulder for a few years. Unfortunately, our last visit changed our opinion completely. I watched the barista drop the ice scoop on the floor, pick it up, and then immediately use it to scoop ice into my drink. When I politely asked her to remake it, I was met with a passive-aggressive attitude. Mistakes happen, but using a utensil off the floor in a customer's drink should never be acceptable in food service--especially right in front of the customer. It also makes me question what kind of food-safety training employees receive. And this is exactly why I dislike being asked to tip before receiving the service. It's disappointing because we really liked this place and had been coming here for years. But after seeing this, we won't be coming back.
