My husband hit a pole in a parking garage structure at Glendora. Triple AAA sent out Jan's towing to us. Steve O #37 and Jorge #22 were awesome. Did such a great job, especially with what they had to work with because the truck was in a tight spot, and with the drive shaft broken, rear axle out. However they got the truck out without any complications. We were very impressed. So professional and kind. It was a great pleasure working with both of them. Great experience. I gladly recommend this business to anyone. Great job read more

Recieved very rude and negative energy from the woman who answered the phone about an hour ago, when asking simple questions about the best way to get an affordable rate. She even went as far as to start even yelling at me for some reason. I understand we're all under duress in these times but I could never give my money to a service that would berate someone over the phone. read more

This is seriously THE BEST towing company I've ever dealt with. I called in that I needed a jump for my car pretty late one night....they first sent Louie who was absolutely amazing, he had the best personality with the utmost professionalism and just all around great customer service. We then figured out that it wasn't my battery and had to call in for a tow. Richard Lugo then shows up with a huuuge tow truck lol. They handled my car with utmost care and I felt totally comfortable with the way they handled...I've had previous encounters with towing companies that were just a total nightmare so I was completely shocked at their professionalism. The ride home was also a breeze because Richard definitely knew how to handle that huge tow truck...I was thoroughly impressed lol. Now listen.... I'm not one to ever leave a review, but I can honestly say both of these men floored me with their superior customer service and I genuinely felt the need to post a review regarding this company...Jan's Towing is the best towing company in town! read more

Just as it got dark on the 210 freeway on a Sunday evening I blew a rear tire on my Chevy Avalanche - I was able to pull over to the side of the freeway, not a good place to be stuck with semis and cars whizzing by. I put out flares and started to go about the spare tire routine - BUT my spare tire was stuck, I couldn't get it to lower down. So, after fighting the spare for thirty minutes, I called my emergency road serviced for a tow - but they couldn't find anyone as everything was closed. Fortunately a highway department truck stopped to help - but they had no luck with the spare either - so they called Jan's Towing. Jorge pulled up in literally ten minutes, had my truck loaded safely and securely - taking very special care to not damage the rim of the completely exploded tire, and delivered me and my truck home. Then Jorge, with the job professionally and rapidly and very safely completed, refused to leave until he had crawled under my truck, figured out that the mechanism that lowers the tire was mis-aligned, showed me in case it happened again, and fixed it. THEN he insisted on removing my blown tire and installing my spare and filling it - so I could be all set in the morning. Jorge was a genuine super hero - absolutely professional, polite, deeply skilled and incredibly kind. THANK YOU Jorge and Jan's Towing - you went truly above and beyond the call of duty read more

Hey everyone, I just want to share my experience with this towing company. I contacted AAA and this company came out to help me out. The driver, Dan M., was the one that came out and I was appreciative to have him come out and provide the service. Dan demonstrated somebody that was very easy to get along with, very personable, and customer service oriented. On top of that, his timing was accurate. There were no hassles I experienced during my encounter with him and he definitely left a good impression upon me about how he carries himself and how he represents his company. Thank you Dan M. from Jan's Towing, INC. read more

This was THE WORST towing experience I've ever had. My wife and I waited about 1 1/2 hours in 100 degree weather on the side of the road in Azusa canyon just outside of the OHV park on Labor Day weekend. The first driver passed us by about 30 minutes after we called AAA and I never saw him come back up the road. Then, about an hour later another driver, Rudy comes to our rescue. But, he didn't know who he's supposed to be picking up. There is no cell service in that area. Only walkie-talkie and CB radio would work, which I have. But apparently Jan doesn't think that is a good investment. So their drivers have no way of communicating to anyone not even their own dispatch. And Rudy didn't write anything down bc he has an excellent memory, not really. So we load up and immediately he decides to pull out from the side of the road and almost crashes into a car that was coming up. I saw the car coming so I know Rudy did too. My wife at that point was scared for her life as this guy is driving down the canyon like a maniac on the opposite side of the road. Rudy, you have passengers, one is a lady, who also just happened to give birth only a month ago with her infant son waiting at home for her. He proceeds all the way down the hill talking about how he thinks he has the wrong car, etc and making us feel very uncomfortable like he's going to dump us or something. I felt like he was trying to get me to hand him some cash so he won't. I know that tactic and it felt like that. He was a very ignorant man. Thankfully for us, my brother in law was waiting down the hill for us and my wife went with him. After some very confusing conversations with Rudy and Jans disorganized dispatch Rudy decides to take me home. Thanks. On the way he continues to drive terribly and yelling at other drivers for not going fast enough. But, he was comfortable enough to check the days MLB baseball scores and saw that the Dodgers were losing. He didn't like that either and explained loudly how much he needs a beer right now. Don't worry Rudy they won. Then I tried to stir up some conversation and Rudy confessed that they don't like picking up AAA members bc theres usually nothing in it for them. They get a flat rate from AAA every month whether they take their calls or not, so it doesn't make financial sense for them. That's exactly how an HMO medical benefit works and why it usually takes more than a month for you to see your doctor under an HMO plan bc you are not a priority and the doctor is getting a monthly check from that network already. Anyway, we finally get to my street and Rudy can barely get his truck up the hill. He constantly verbally jabs the truck for struggling up the hill. Were doing about 15mph. He said the owner is too cheap to buy better trucks and too cheap to put CB radios in them. They should absolutley invest in CB if they're working the canyons. Finally, we unload the truck and bc were on a hill, it starts to slide down his bed uncontrollably and he yells at me to hurry up and jump in. So I did and got it under control. However, if I wasn't nimble that is not something just anyone can do. Like for example Rudy likely would not have been able to quickly jump in and prevent further damage. Just saying. Nevertheless I was home. But, shortly after my wife calls me and is telling me that Rudy keeps calling and asking for $300 for the tow. WTF!!! She says he keeps calling and calling. Now I know it's a shakedown. We called AAA and are having them take care of it now. Good luck Jans and GOD help you Rudy. read more

I have mixed emotions about my experience with Jan's. I have to say that the "I've experienced better" applies because they were dispatched from AAA after I called to say that the battery on my Prius was out and an auto technician who had worked on the car before said a jump was not what I needed, that the main battery was out and the car had to be towed. The dispatcher sent a regular tow truck. After waiting a half hour in the rain, I was told by the first driver that he could not tow the car because a Prius cannot be put in neutral without power. I'd already told AAA that I had no power. He guessed that he could get the system going with a jump which I was all for trying. However, he refused to jump it from under the hood and could not access the battery in the trunk. He refused to try jumping the car even after I told him AAA had successfully jumped the car from the front battery many times. After waiting another twenty minutes for the flatbed, Lugo jumped the battery, and I simply drove to the auto shop. All in all, that probably sounds like a three, but I don't think that having an employee on staff who does not know how to deal with a Prius and cannot be coached with a call to dispatch is "A Ok." I was very happy with the way Lugo handled the situation, but if their success depends on who gets sent out first, that to me is a problem. read more
