Came here for lunch as first timers to the area. WOW great find. Breakfast and lunch are served, with a wide variety of dishes. We both opted for burgers (key west & california). The tomatoes were fresh, the avocados were fresh (mine never come out that way), the burger was huge (1/2 pound). The meat itself did not have a lot of flavor, it was prepared how we asked, and it was juicy and messy! The server was attentive and friendly. The staff all seemed to be in good moods (and happy to clean tables). There was a small shop and pastries available. We will be back for more of their breakfast items! read more

Note to self: bigotry is alive in some places and Jan's Place is no exception. Sad that it has to come from a place we have visited before and now to experience it at reception. We walked in and gave our name as we stepped in and a guy turns around and told the reception "no, these people first," even though they had stepped into reception after us. Dog friendly. Food was great. Service was good. We stopped by with our dog and had breakfast outside. They were even able to make a plain hamburger patty for the pooch. went here a few Sundays ago for my Counsins birthday was so busy we waited in line for over 45 minutes for a table it was crazy ppl after ppl walking in to get a table we were a party of 7 and they squshed us at a small table .two youngest nieces were starving by the time we got to the table then having to wait another 25 minutes for the waitress to come back to take the order we did not get out of there till almost 1 or 2 in the afternoon cause it took so long and was so busy with customers so my wise words on a Sunday go somewhere else that is less busy where u can get a table quickly if u have a larger family read more

My fiancé had huge eyes this morning so he ordered the cinnamon bun French toast combo and a side of biscuits & gravy. I ordered the Neptune from the sea Benedict w a side of fresh fruit. The cinnamon bun was simply amazing! So fresh and delicious with a cinnamon butter on the side that tea elevated the French toast. This was out of this world good! The biscuits & gravy were also a home run...flaky fresh biscuits w very prepared country gravy...rich and creamy but not too heavy, not over seasoned, and not clumpy or gloopy whatsoever...some of the best gravy I've had. The combo comes w choice of eggs & meat, so I also tried the sausage link (recommended by the server) and they too were delicious. Plump, juicy, and a perfect snap. The Neptune Benedict I made a couple of alterations to, and I absolutely loved it! I had the sauce on the side, I added avocado, and I substituted a toasted croissant for the English muffin...the sauce was creamy, rich in flavor, and had a lobster bisque quality to it that was outstanding. The eggs were perfectly poached, the croissant was fresh, buttery, and piled high with all the tasty seafood (shrimp, scallops, and real crab meat), and the avocado added another touch to the level of flavors... Jan's Place is amazing!! A group of 8 of us visited while in Jensen Beach for an Annual Retreat. They were as accommodating as possible and the overall hospitality and service was inviting and refreshing. The food is just as amazing as the friendly atmosphere. We started with a warm cinnamon bun & cream cheese icing accompanied by a Bloody Mary. For breakfast I had the Ultimate French Toast, which could feed 2 or 3 people. Today I had prime rib Benedict with a side of potatoes and grits and a cup of coffee. The steak I asked for medium, it was medium well/well it had a creepy wetness to it and that had soaked the English muffin below and looked gross. NOTHING on my plate was hot. Not one thing. The only thing I truly enjoyed was my coffee. I ate the luke warm eggs, potatoes and grits. But the chewiness and fattiness of steak made it inedible to me. This is a small diner right off the Main Street - nothing fancy as far as the inside but wait until you see the menu. You will be escorted by THE Jan to your table where someone will promptly get your drinks handing out mismatched coffee mugs. They have several different types of eggs Benedict, omelettes and sweets. I had the bananas foster French toast. WOW. So fluffy, the bananas cooked to perfection, the sauce Devine. I didn't even use syrup. My husband ordered the breakfast chimichanga. Right up his alley. It's fine. It's totally acceptable food but it's a dirty diner that is a staple in Jensen. I do with they would step up their fake a bit and make an investment in this place and make it better. Depending on where you sit it can be very muggy in there. The pineapple muffins and spuds make it worth coming back to for those 2 things alone. read more

We came in for breakfast this morning and loved it. It was our second time here, once last year while visiting. I ordered an omelette with turkey, spinach, avocado and cheddar jack cheese. It was a variation of the California omelette. It was very good and MASSIVE. I'd estimate it's at least 6 eggs and loaded with other ingredients. It came with choice or potatoes (I got the seasoned ones) and toast, muffin or biscuit. My girlfriend got the waffle combo which is a good sized waffle and 2 eggs and meat. The first waffle was brought out and they said if it's too well done we'll make another. It was pretty well done so she asked for a new one and they brought it out in a few minutes. Seemed like they knew it was no good and should have just held back on the good one but really not a big deal. Total bill with an iced tea was $25, very affordable and people could definitely split some of these omelettes. I appreciated the hot sauce variety at the table and the friendliness of the staff.
