This was our first time ordering pizza from Janininos. We ordered that we ordered was the Janinino 24" meat pizza. We had 5 chow hounds and we had almost 1/2 of the pizza left. The pizza was good it had a fair amount of toppings, my only complaint was that it needed a bit more sauce for my taste. Other than that it was a good pizza and good value. Since our favorite NY pizza place is temporarily closed, the hubs and I decided to check out the new place. We were pleased to learn that the owner is the same owner of our favorite little steak and Italian restaurant, Papa's Place, on 98. The atmosphere is cute. It's not super trendy or stylish, but it's comfortable. They have tvs everywhere, so everyone at the table can watch their favorite team (or America's Got Talent) all at the same time. They have a pretty decent beer selection. It's not a huge selection, but it's good beer with the exception of a couple of cheap popular beers. They also have a draft house beer that's cheap. The service was fantastic. Our server was helpful in picking which appetizer we wanted. Actually, all of the servers were great and friendly, even the one who wasn't in our section. This place has a friendly atmosphere in general. Everyone just kinda talks and hangs out and chats with one another. Finally, the reason you're even reading this review: the food. The mozzarella sticks were homemade. The marinara sauce for dipping was good. The pizza, we had their version of the supreme, which I believe they called The Brooklyn, was good. Well, the toppings were fresh and quality and it came out piping hot. The crust wasn't as crispy as we would've liked it to be. It wouldn't stop us from ordering it or eating there again. They have tiramisu for dessert but we opted to skip dessert. The prices were average. I think our total for a large pizza, mozzarella sticks, 2 drinks and a beer was about $30. We had enough pizza left for the hubs to take for lunch and eat for dinner the next day. read more

Janinos has the best handmade pizza dough in Daphne. Their pizza, calzones and Stromboli's are made to order and will never leave you hungry. My only complaint is their lack of customer policing. The management allows a local man to bring his bills, library books, hoodies and poor manners to the bar each day. He takes up multiple seats and commandeers the TV remote, constantly selecting syndicated TV shows that are better viewed from home. After he claims three or more spots at the bar he proceeds to watch his tablet and pay bills like he is at hmeNot gonna lie, I love the food and ice cold beer. The worst customer service I have received in my life. There was a mistake with our order of: 1 pepperoni pizza and one half cheese/half sausage. We received two half pizzas. We called to get the issue fixed and went back to the restaurant to get the correct pizza. Upon coming back I was accused of already receiving 4 pizzas and lying to get a free pizza out of them. They did not fix the issue or even try to fix the issue. Absolutely horrible customer service. read more

Awful! My son got his slice of pizza first, 15 minutes goes buy then my husband got his spaghetti... 10 more minutes goes by... why not deliver all the food pet table at once? BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! I have eaten at this place more than once so this isn't a shoot from the hip review. Let me say from the top I will NEVER frequent this establishment again. They have apparently decided that the nickel and dime approach is the way to go. We ordered two Stromboli's and Diet Coke. It took forever to get the food. In fact after being seated we heard the server (Ana) telling patrons it was an hour wait for food. She wasn't kidding. After the food arrived it was tasty and hot. I asked Ana (our server) for some Garlic Powder. After a little while it was delivered to the table. Then she delivers the check. On it I notice a charge for Garlic Butter. After finishing our meal and ready to pay I asked Ana about the charge for the Garlic Powder. I explained I didn't order butter but was charged for it. All she could do was apologize. I once again explained it wasn't butter but powder. Again another apology. I politely told her that we have been in pizza joints all across the country and Garlic Powder is usually on the table in most places as a condiment. Once again another apology. On top of that they charged a fee to use a credit card. Oh they did provide eating utensils free! Just be aware if you ask for something no matter how small you'll be charged for it. Great food! The pizza is awesome, spaghetti is great and more than you can eat, and believe it or not....the best burgers around, cooked on a cast iron griddle. Cheese sticks are homemade. Very good drink prices as well! Cheyenne and Heather are great. You won't be sorry. read more

Service was the best thing about this place. Pizza was very mediocre. Pepperoni roll was so burned I could only eat half of it without breaking my teeth. Spinach calzone was good and fluffy. Came in tonight with my husband and was completely ignored. Came inside, of the 3 workers that were there no one acknowledged us coming in. We sat at a table, and waited...and waited...and waited. After making eye contact with 2 of the 3 employees we were still not greeted/offered menus/drinks NOTHING. They were not busy, and the server began putting glasses away rather than waiting on guests. I have lived all over the U.S., and Janino's has one of the best pizzas I have ever tried. The crust is thin and crunchy yet also airy. The toppings are always fresh and cooked perfectly. Janino's atmosphere has a warm, community feel. I like that they sell pizza by the slice so that I can go in and have a slice of pizza and a drink without a significant commitment. read more

I am a pizza fanatic and must have a serving at least once a week. Upon a recommendation from a friend, I along with 3 others embarked to this hopefully fine pizza establishment. Well let me tell you there is no finer pie maker within 50 miles of this place and I have tried most at one time or another. I decided to have the white pizza and was blown away with the veggies the ricotta cheese as well as the crust......My party of 3 also ordered the Bronx special loaded with fine quality meats.....the cheese at this place is quality and does not turn in to grease once cooked....the crust is thin but not too as it doesn't fall into the soggy category when you pick up your slice....the gentlemen who tossed the dough and made our pie introduced him self as Anthony from NY and yes he is a gentlemen and made sure we enjoyed our meal. I will be back again to enjoy this treasure of a Italian Eatery and as well as my guest have overwhelming have concluded and enjoyed.. update as of 6/9/2016, the pizza went down hill, drama at the restaurant, who needs that. take your chances now. we won't be back now. read more
