    Green pizza
    Juliet H.

I enjoyed the pizza and the scene. I was bummed that the pizza I specifically stopped by to try (butter chicken pizza) was sold out, but the green(?) something pizza w/ sausage added was a nice second fiddle. The wait was about 45 minutes which I also didn't love, but I'd say that it flew by with drinks from Monroe's and football watching on the patio. The staff was friendly, and I'll definitely stop by for another shot at the butter chicken pizza.

Excited to get to try out the new pizza spot and after driving all the way across town for the experience, I'm sad to report I was under-whelmed. The positives: the staff are SUPER friendly, but this was mostly the bar staff. The atmosphere is cozy, hole in the wall vibe and dim lights which I like (again in bar adjacent). Outside is spacious with plenty of seating, it was just too hot to eat outside the evening we were there, plus they allow smoking and it's beyond gross to have smoke around food, so we found a corner table in the bar which is small but inviting. The negatives: it was my hub and me to arrive first, purposefully being ahead of our two other dining companions. He ordered eggplant dip and the cheesey bread app while we waited for them and it was well after they arrived that we got the text that our app order was up. The bread didn't seem toasted at all, just broiled with the cheese on top toasting around the edges; tasted fine but somewhat mushy. The marinara was stone cold... like the little take out cup with lid that it's served in was grabbed straight out of the frig and placed on the plate. Cold marinara is not good eats. The eggplant dip wasn't great but wasn't bad flavor-wise; there wasn't much eggplant flavor and had an acidic lemony-toward note with bits of strong raw garlic and it was served cold. The tortilla chips served with had several whole chips on top but the rest underneath were a pile mini crumbs from the bottom of the bag. The menu wasn't the same as the image posted in a previous review and I was disappointed that all of the sandwiches have been taken off, along with the noodles. Onto the main meal: After we finished our apps we ordered two pizzas, the garlic mushroom and tomato supreme. The crust was nice as far as the cook and texture, but quite bland in flavor. The oven should be imparting more flavor, but it was only the char that had any taste. Overall they were both ok, not amazing. After ordering our pizzas it took another long time to get our order.... So this place is an order-window and pick-up at same window when you get the text, and while we were there they were doing good business. I'm sure the neighborhood locals are loving it. It mostly seemed like people ordered ahead to then go in for pickup and this is really the way to do it because ordering while dining in is a pretty long wait time. Having said that we enjoyed hanging out in the bar having a couple of cocktails during the wait and I have to say the bar was BUSY. This was a Friday night.... we got there at 5:10 and left immediately after finishing our pizza at around 8. Overall experience: it's has great atmosphere but it's hard for me to differentiate the actual restaurant from the bar as they both tie together. If it weren't for the bar the dining experience would not have been ideal. Great place to meet friends and have some pizza when you're not super hungry and don't mind the wait time. I do support our local spots and hope this one succeeds but they need some work on food quality and time getting orders out. I hope this completely honest review helps other diners have a good idea of what to expect before going.

Despite the customer induced drama, it was fairly quiet. We ordered garlic bread sticks and they came out first, tasty for sure. We also ordered the medium Otis pizza with no chicken and added banana peppers with thin crust. The pizza was cooked perfectly and was tasty as always. This place is consistent. This is our place to go in Mobile for pizza. We will be back. Great Job!!

At 6:30 no pizza came, despite my receipt showing a delivery charge of $6+ plus a $5 dollar tip. When I called to ask when it would be arriving, I was told they do not deliver. To which I replied, I paid for delivery and ordered the pizza from your website. At this point my pizza was sitting there for 30 minutes. Apparently they third party their deliveries. The website should state this fact. If I pay a company, in this case godfathers pizza, they are responsible for the delivery unless otherwise stated in an obvious way. We went round and round and the only way for me to get my pizza, was to drive there myself which defeated the whole point of ordering a pizza to be delivered. The young lady on the phone grunted uhhuh instead of yes or no. I finally had to tell her to use actual words as her grunts were not coming across clearly. What a disaster. I drove over and at this point my pizza was sitting for 45 minutes. If you third party out delivery, and no one shows up to pick it up, why would you not be calling someone, anyone or the customer or anything. When I arrived, three people standing around doing absolutely nothing, I told them I was here to pick up my pizza and I want to talk to a manager. James came out and asked how he could help? I would have thought he would have already known what was going on by this point. He was calm and friendly. I told him I would like to have the delivery fees and tip removed from my check. He offered a fresh pie of I was willing to wait but, I was not as I was ready to eat at 6:00 and it was nearly 7:00. I told him it had been decades since my last visit to godfathers pizza. It will likely be decades before I return. I will not be back here. He ended up removing the entire charge from my credit card. For corporate Godfathers pizza. If you are not going to actually deliver pizza, remove it from your website or have customers order through door dash or grub hub or some other delivery website. At the very least, this is dishonest marketing. Shameful. Your marketing tactics cost this franchisee business owner a bad review and a customer forever.

Every time I pick up a pizza from here, it makes my car smell amazing! As a matter of fact, they have the hands down best smelling pizza. I may have joked on occasion about how Godfather's needs to market auto air fresheners that smell like their pizza. Maybe I'm not joking. I was looking for a dinner option and had just delivered one of their fine pies, so that scent was fresh on my mind. So I called them from the road and ordered a large pepperoni and added extra cheese, because why not? They placed the order and told me it would be ready in 15 minutes. Perfect. The staff is ALWAYS professional, courteous, and hard working, but most importantly, they always seem to be having a good time. It's easily one of my favorite pickup locations. But this was the first time I was picking up for myself. I got the pizza home and took this single photo, and it was pretty darn good! The extra cheese was the icing on the cake! The crust was perfectly browned and crispy, the pepperoni was seasoned well, but not overly spicy. I will definitely be trying other items on their menu soon!

I couldn't believe I had never heard of it before. How many times had I passed the shopping center where it is. I've driven across Navco road many times not even realizing this restaurant existed. Anyway I decided to order pizza from them. Choosing what to get your first time at a place is really difficult. I usually go for a sausage pizza instead of a plain pepperoni pizza anywhere I order pizza from. I didn't see a single topping sausage pizza I could order and I didn't want to custom order either. Finally, I decided on the Navco Special. It had everything on it from sausage, pepperoni, beef, ham, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and olives. The probability that I would enjoy at least something on the pizza was high. I ordered the pizza and drove to pick it up. When I got there I only had to wait a few minutes. The person at the counter gave me updates on the progress. While waiting I noticed one person sitting down. I grabbed a Lagniappe and started flipping through the pages. As I stated earlier the wait wasn't long at all. When I got in the car with my pizza I could smell all ingredients I named before. I was starving. When I took a bite of my first slice I realized I made a great decision. The pizza was hot and though the pizza was full of toppings they didn't immediately fall off the slice when I bit into it. They eventually do as does with all great pizza but the cheese did a great job of sticking together. I loved all the toppings but for some reason the onions tasted the best out of all the vegetable toppings. I was not sure why the onions stood out but they did. The sausage on this pizza was some of the best I tasted on a pizza. I really enjoyed this pizza. I will definitely come back.
