Pizza was an absolute winner! Walked in and was quickly greeted by the sole lady working the front. We ordered to go and while the wait was a bit longer than I expected it was a tasty pie with the perfect balance of dough thickness. The basil was not cooked onto the pizza but came separate for you to add the tomatoes had a nice flavor. Perfect for lunch or a more casual date night. Ambiance was comfortable with basketball on the tv for great entertainment for my teen especially as we were in town for a basketball tournament. read more

My husband and I and a bunch of our kids and grands are on vacation together in the area , and I had researched this restaurant ahead of time and knew they had good reviews. We went last night. Our first visit, it was ok. There is not really a dedicated hostess despite the sign that states please wait to be seated. The person who seated us, was also our waitress, she did a good job. We had the garlic butter bites with marinara dipping sauce. These were tasty, the sauce was a bit sweet but, tasty to start. We then had the CAPA 16" pizza with added banana peppers. The pizza was a bit doughy / undercooked in the middle, it was still tasty. The place was pretty full outside and inside about 50 percent of the tables taken at 6:15 on a Friday. Since we are new to the area, downtown parking so far has been challenging, mostly street parking. We will likely try a few more pizza places before returning. read more

We enjoyed this pizza. The pizzas seem to run a little small. I placed a to go order. They accidentally made a small when we ordered a large. They made a new large on the spot and gave me the mistake "small" pizza. Very surprising and sweet!! Good food, great staff and great customer service!! ! read more

I used to get the Margherita Pizza but they changed to cherry tomatoes and I don't enjoy it as much. My favorite part is their sauce. It's not a sweet sauce and it's light. They also have a light crust. Service is quick and they're always so nice. The space is family friendly and they have plenty of seating inside and out. Wintering in Alabama and drove to Fairhope to try this pizza place called Section St. Pizza. WOW! Not only were what they call Garlic Knots the best I've ever had but the pizza was outstanding. My wife and I are both very particular about pizza and we'll be going back to Section St. Pizza again to not only eat this great pizza but to enjoy walking around one of the prettiest small towns we've been while traveling this country. It's absolutely beautiful. If you haven't been to Fairhope and eaten at Section St. Pizza, you're missing something great! Oh, and they're pet friendly. Don't know why someone said "the pizza's run a little small" as they have three sizes to choose from I believe. I definitely have mixed emotions about this place. We had good friendly fast service and the drinks were cold. Pizza came out pretty quick for being wood fired. The only downside was I feel like our pizza wasn't a real pizza. We got the arugula Bianca which says garlic butter spread but it was more of a fancy breadstick or flatbread than it was a pizza since it didn't have any true sauce. We had to get a side of marinara to tie it all together. Also now looking at the other pictures of the same pizza we definitely got robbed of some ingredients lol oh well I'd still recommend it to anyone and probably will go back for another try. read more

The pizza was good. I wouldn't say it the best that I have had, but good. I loved the texture of the crust. The toppings to crust was a little on the light side, but not by much. The cheese ration was rather on the light side for my taste. Cheese bread again was good with good flavor, but the cheese topping itself was on the light side. read more

Really wanted this place to work out. It's very difficult going head to head with Ravenite in downtown Fairhope. Unfortunately, we got them on a bad night. Large pizza was delayed, over an hour. Was told there was a "dough problem." Made for a difficult Friday night with a toddler. The pizza was passable. No complaints although we had to get it to go and didn't get the experience of hot out of the oven. Maybe we'll try again someday. read more

In a years time this is the first chance we have had to try Section Street. We wanted to be able to eat while sitting outside and today didn't disappoint. Perfect weather for this. My wife and I started with a Caesar sals for each of us. The dressing was very creamy and I liked the touch of bacon on the salad. We then ordered the large supreme type pizza and the flavors exploded in our mouths. Crust was cooked to our liking and not burned, which many brick ovens have done in the past. We haven't always liked think crust pizzas but this one was awesome and the portion was great. We did bring some home which was the intent. We don't eat pizza too much but when we do we want a good one. Section didn't disappoint. The waitress we had was awesome and was attentive to our every need, checking back often. I decided to go local for pizza today, and I am glad I chose Section Street Pizza! Their menu is awesome, it has tons of options for everyone (including vegans! Yay vegan cheese!) I ordered hummus and a BYO salad. The hummus was awesome, the pita bread was fresh and warm. I like their salads too, and the "BYO" option is super convenient because I'm picky. They were very COVID safe. They offer curbside pick-up, have sanitizer available, wear masks, and have distance between tables. All of their dishes are reusable and they do a good job of not creating excessive waste with their to-go items. read more

The sauce was mild spices and just enough to taste it. If you like a lot of sauce you'll have to ask for it. I had a white pie with prosciutto which was very flavorful and having arugula balanced out the saltiness of the meat. Garlic butter brushed in pizza. I have to say the flavors are balanced, try their specialty pizzas, you won't be disappointed. The crust has a delicate char wonderful bread flavor. Outside seating and comfy too. Hands down the best pizza in Baldwin and Mobile counties! Hard to find authentic wood/coal fired ovens in the area and Section Street rises above them all. Being from the East Coast, their pizza is as close to home as it comes and even my kids, after multiple family trips to Philly and NYC, still claim Section Street as food if not better than the City greats. I wish my experience at Section Street Pizza had been a better one. I came with two other people for dinner, and the place was moderately busy. We were given a table and after we were seated, we ordered our drinks right away. It was about 15-20 minutes after that when our server came to take our order. Then we sat for over 30 minutes with no food, no check in, and no service at all. We had to try 4 times to flag down the server to get refills and ask about our appetizer. He looked confused, and went to the computer. He then pulled out his notepad, and began typing into the computer. We figured he had forgotten to put the order in. After another 10 minutes the appetizers came, and about another 15 minutes the pizza came. The pizza was not hot, and the order was wrong. But we were tired and quite hungry so we just ate it as it was. We let the server know the order was incorrect but said we did not want to send it back. Having to wait that long was a frustration. But what really made it bad was the lack of any check in, effort, or information by our server. Even if he did forget the order, if he would have come and told us we would have understood. Or if the kitchen was backed up, he just had to keep us informed. Instead we saw him standing behind the counter when we had no food and empty drink cups. I don't think I will come back, but I hope this was just a fluke and not their regular service. read more
