And we got the pizza 15 minutes after everyone else got their meal (they obviously forgot). But that happens when your employees are all teenagers. Great neighborhood gem! I was greeted as soon as my family and I entered. We had the half order if oatmeal which is huge! Lots of fresh fruit and really tasty! My husband and I came here several times and really enjoyed the live music. The third time we came I asked for a heater to be turned on, it was a lovely day but I had a computer and iPad I was working off of so needed to sit in the shade, and got a little chilly. I asked the bartender is she would mind turning on the heater at my table because the propane tank was empty. She asked the owner, and the owner very rudely and condescending "said are you serious! That's ridiculous it's nice outside"! He did turn it on but was not pleasant about it. Then I walked inside and there he is talking to someone about this ridiculous lady that had the heater on! I will also say that no one was sitting by us so I in no way was bothering anyone with the heater on. If it was nice out or cold no owner should make a paying customer that had been there several times feel badly!!!! read more

Food: I was surprised that the menu was pretty flexible since the online menu didn't reflect that almost everything was build-your-own which I really liked! They had customizable sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, and smoothies. I ordered a ham and egg breakfast sandwich on whole wheat toast. It was served with fresh fruit on the side. Since today is Yelp's "Find a Great sandwich" feature, I'll add to earlier posts. The roast beef sandwich on toasted bread is amazing. I have them make it with all the fixin's except cheese (food allergy) and it is sooooooo good!! Highly recommend it. Sometimes I need to take some of it home, but most of the time, I get it early enough in the day where I only eat that for the day and it's plenty. Love the ambiance, the local music that changes daily and sometimes several times in a day. When it's super hot, eat indoors, but by evening the outdoors is pleasant. You will meet wonderful people there. It's just so great to support a local business that has hung in there for all of us during the craziness of the past couple of years! SUPPORT LOCAL COMPANIES! Oh - and if you're into wine, the wine tasting each Wednesday at 6:30 is great! Good selection of wines and great camaraderie. If you are into Beer, same goes for Tap Takeover on Thursday. Love the outdoor seating and live music. 5 stars for the atmosphere. 3 stars for the food and service. Asked for decaf herbal tea options but was told they weren't sure which teas were decaf. What the heck? The manager/owner came out and gave me a decaf option after I stated I didn't want to order unless I know if the tea was decaf. My tea was weak and not steeped long enough. They used leaf leaves instead of bags. I did like that. Ordered the oatmeal with fruit and nuts. It was ok. Super hungry after hiking and waiting so long for the food. I did eat it all. The bowl they served my oatmeal in had 2 large chips in it which I found extremely disturbing. Service was ok though they weren't very friendly at all. Nobody was. My husband ordered a breakfast burrito and it took 30 minutes before it was served. Nice for atmosphere but skip the food ;-( read more

This place is a hidden gem in cave creek. It's a bit hard to see from the street but there is a sign with an arrow. Parking is on dirt road. We were there for a music venue so it was a crowded night with lots of people drinking. Although it's a coffee house, they have full bar with lots of food options. We chose to share a quesadillas which came with salsa and sour cream. The veggies weren't grilled; they were chopped raw veggies and it was very refreshing in the quesadillas. It had lots of flavor. Highly recommend. Although I didn't get to try any of their coffee or breakfast entrees, I will be back. read more

The ambiance is cool, not much in terms of food options. My wife and I went here after a hike for a quick bite and the place was pretty unorganized. Waited 40 minutes for food only to ask for a refund, which they wouldn't give us. They said the food was being plated. So we waited a little longer only for them to say the food had been ready they just forgot. We Ordered an Egg Sandwich and Avocado toast with a soup. Sandwich was ok, avocado toast had turned brownish with raw onions on top...pretty hard to mess up avocado toast but they managed to mess it up somehow. Tomato soup was pretty bland. Needless to say I'll never be returning to this place. ambiance is cool, drinks were good, just don't come here for food. read more

Janey's is nestled at the base of the desert, set back from the road, has indoor & outdoor seating where you can enjoy time with those you're with while listening to musicians. Janey's is another favorite spot in Cave Creek. I HIGHLY recommend going there especially when the temps drop. I love going there in the cooler seasons too. For my sandwich, I chose multigrain bread with horseradish cheddar cheese and ham, bacon and egg. Great sandwich. Comes with a small side of fruit. The horseradish cheddar really adds a kick. For drinks, I had a mimosa and an iced latte. Love the mimosa. Good pours. The iced latte was okay. I probably should've gotten a flavored one so it would be better. I dropped my little sister off at a birthday party in Cave Creek and needed a place to study in the meantime, and a quick Yelp search brought me here to the cutest little coffee shop! I'll admit, I had to make a few U-turns (okay more like 10) because it's slightly off the street, tucked into a parking lot behind another store, and it's kind of hard to see so I passed it multiple times. But I promise, once you figure out how to find Janey's, you'll be glad you did! AMBIANCE/DECOR: The atmosphere is very laid back and warm with a cool rustic western theme. I sat in this awesome booth (in the attached picture) which gave me plenty of room to spread out my study materials. From what I can see, there are lots of outlets all over the place if you start to run out of juice while you're working, but there wasn't one next to this booth, which was fine because I didn't need one. They have clearly gone out of their way to make this a comfortable space to work or hang out with many tables, free WiFi, and there is even a basket of blankets to use in case you get cold! There is a LOT of outdoor seating, and according to the signs posted around, it appears that live bands play every night on the weekends. DRINKS: True to form, I ordered a dirty chai with almond milk since that is always the drink I try on my first visit to any coffee shop, and the one I was served at Janey's really is one of the best I've had! Perfect foam to drink ratio, smooth espresso, not too sweet, and the chai itself is so well balanced! I always love trying chai because every spice blend is different. This one wasn't super spicy which is what I usually prefer; Its predominant flavor is more nutmeg-y, but it pleasantly surprised me, and I LOVE it. I don't live anywhere near Janey's (it was about a 35 minute drive) but if I ever have an excuse to come back to Cave Creek, I'll definitely be making a stop here for another dirty chai, and maybe some food next time! read more

We went for breakfast and lattes. I think it is better for a hangout bar than for breakfast. We had 5 different lattes and they were not good at all. None of us could drink ours. The breakfast was ok but nothing special. They have a nice back to hang out in. read more
