I would have given 5 stars if not for one issue. Let me start by stating I had been going to this office for about 15 years if not more. The dentists and staff (especial Dr Do,Myrna and Rosa who has since left) are excellent in their knowledge, care, patience and all around customer service. So why did I leave? Since Rosa left, Darla took over accounting (Drs Shunk/Petiet daughter) she could never get my account right. I'm don't like guessing games and if you can't take my money seriously we have a problem. Estimates are fine but not if I have to pay double if not more after the initial estimate payment. Amazing office and dentists!! If you want a great family dentist, or just a great dentist, this is the place to go! They have so much patience with my kiddos, explain and answer all the questions. This dentist offiice is a FIVE STAR, love my dentist.... BUT!!! Well this is not a review I want to give to my dentist... But today, my schedule teeth cleaning was a crap! I got an hygienist that is definitely new or am just practicing to see what she can or won't do. Cleaning, subpart to say it nicely... My teeth felt just as it was after cleaning. Whatever, I love my dentist and they always been good... But this new hygienist, definitely has much much much practice to do. If I could give Dr. Shunk and his team 100 stars I would. Even that wouldn't be enough. When I first met Dr. Shunk and his team I wasn't sure I would ever have a smile that made me feel confident. As a child I had an ice skating incident that damaged my teeth, killing the nerves in the top front teeth. For the past 20 years I have lived with discolored, off center teeth that really affected my self confidence. My first appointment with Dr. Shunk was like a breath of fresh air, I could finally see a light at the end of a very long tunnel. He was kind and patient, understanding and supportive. He helped me come up with a plan to get the desired look I have been longing for. A bit nervous going to a new dentist during a pandemic but front office was nice and caring. I had my 6 month cleaning with a super gentle hygienist. (Forgot her name) After I met Dr. Do for my check up he was very gentle as well and answer all my questions I had about my cross bite. I was referred to a orthodontics to try to fix my issue. Overall very happy with my first time visit, will definitely be coming back. Office is clean and they are following all of CDC recommendations. read more

Hello, I am not a dentist enthusiast BUT this is one dentist you do not want to pass. I have extensive dental work to be done and so far I made it through my first session. The reason I am not so enthusiastic about dentists in general is I had bad experiences in the past. As a child, and including my last dentist. I can't tell you how happy and satisfied I am. I a bit anxious when it comes to dental work. Today, I had my first dental appointment and was under Doctor Shunk's care. From beginning to the end of the procedure I didn't have any scare, didn't feel the injections, explained every step of the way. IT COULDN'T BEEN BETTER. I recommend to all my followers Doctor Shunk. He is a wonderful Dentist. His staff is super nice. I really feel at ease here. No anxieties. I usually don't trust dentists. I am getting my smile back the way I always wanted. Porcelain, and will ask for implants as well. The point is we all want to have that one million dollar smile. I am so grateful for this practice! My oldest son got busy as he finished up high school and became very overdue for his hygiene appointment. When he suddenly came to me saying he was in pain I called Dr. Shunks office immediately. Myrna said they had a full schedule, but not to worry, to bring him in first thing in the morning and they would take care of him! We were there by 8:30 and she immediately got him seated and began his exam. Not only did Dr. Do examine and diagnose the area of pain, but Adriana and Myrna scrambled to work him into the hygiene schedule, to get up to date X-rays and a complete diagnosis and treatment plan for his whole mouth. With 2018 quickly coming to an end, Adriana was able to explain the best way to schedule his treatment to maximize our insurance benefits and also how to continue his treatment into 2019. It was a long morning, but the treatment was painless, the staff worked to accommodate my son and we walked out with a clear plan for his future treatment! I highly recommend this office! Myrna, Mo, and Adrianna are friendly and accommodating hosts every time I come in. Not only do they, but all of the staff always asks about my life and how I am doing every time I come in. The staff was wonderful. Dr Do was gentle and did amazing work. I had an emergency infected crown, and had to get to the airport in the afternoon. I just want to say that I was referred to this Dental Group by my family member it started off great excellent service and attention but after being a patient for two years it just started going downhill from there I have a crown with a bridge it kept falling off after they finally got it right then it started breaking don't get me wrong they replaced it every time but the hassle that I had to go through every single time by the third time it broke I told myself enough is enough I went to another doctor got a second opinion on it from another dentist and her simple answer was they didn't get the fitting right and they should have used better material by the way keep in mind I have primary buy up insurance which is top of the line insurance when it comes to expenses I don't understand why my Crown kept falling off and after they finally got it to stick it started breaking one year after another year after another year I do not recommend this dentist office I actually feel sorry for the dentist I wish you the best of luck sincerely yours X patient read more

Dr. Shunk is the gentlest dentist I have ever known. Both my kids wanted their first-ever fillings from him WITHOUT any numbing shots. No pain, and very proud of themselves. And I am a total wimp but am able to get my teeth cleaned here, no problem. Oscar does a great job with the shots and even praised me for my courage! I really enjoyed the friendliness and was impressed by the great sales ability of the front desk staff here. Just be aware that you may want to get a 2nd opinion on the recommended treatment plan here instead of being rushed into paying on the spot. I came in with a Groupon for just an exam and cleaning and had no pain. They recommended an $800 (reduced from $1,200) deep dental cleaning. While most of my gum pockets were at 2-3 (normal) they urgently recommended I get my whole mouth deep cleaned. They also recommended 4 fillings (said I had "leakage" from old fillings and two cavities) - total plan cost of $2,800. I went to another dental office that had lots of terrific reviews for honesty to get a second opinion and the dentist said I did not need whole mouth deep cleaning or any fillings. I've been using a water flosser for a month and my gums improved. Again, really nice people and probably fantastic work, and someone needs to pay for the dentist's kids' college tuition, but don't let yourself get pressured into paying on the spot for expensive treatment if you're not completely sure whether you really need it. A second opinion is worth it. The hygienist here was very nice. read more
