A few months ago, I began experiencing significant pain in a tooth that had an older root canal and a crown that had been replaced by this office. Along with the pain, I developed swelling in the area and was concerned that something was wrong. When I called the office seeking help, I was repeatedly advised to find another dentist instead of being offered an emergency evaluation or a timely appointment. As an established patient who had received treatment at this office, I found this response frustrating and disappointing. Despite explaining my symptoms, the earliest appointment offered was about a week away. Because I felt my condition needed more immediate attention, I ultimately sought treatment elsewhere. I also called the doctor's emergency number for guidance but did not receive a response until the following day. Updated review: Hello again fellow yelpers, I am updating my last review because I feel like I wasn't entirely fair. I recently left this office and had a great experience. I am, self admittedly, bad at getting dental work done. I have sensitive teeth, I need a lot of sedation, I sweat uncontrollably due to anxiety, and my tongue has a mind of its own. Dr. Ramos and her assistant made sure that I was completely fine at all times and even put the fan on me for sweating and had a sign for of the pain was too much. It is hard to find a good dentist, but I believe this will be my new one. I apologize if I was rash or pushy, that's on me. Now, I know that Upland Smile Center is the place to go if you need work done. The operation wasn't painless obviously due to my personal, let's say, eccentricities, but it was made as comfortable as possible. Dr. Ramos is awesome! I've been going to her for years and would never go anywhere else! She's super personable and has always made me feel comfortable during every visit. She knows exactly what to do to keep my pearly whites so fresh and healthy! Also, the office is super clean (which in my option is key) with a modern feel and smells great! The reason for my 1 star review is because I had called to make a 1st time appointment for my daughter to be seen about 2-3 weeks ago. The receptionist was taking my information down and as soon as she asked me what insurance my daughter had, she refused to make her an appointment. My daughter has IEHP insurance and the girl flat out said "we're not accepting new IEHP insurance patients". I was pretty much disgusted with her answer because I know how insurances work since I worked in the medical field myself. Is IEHP not good enough for the damn doctors there??? Does your doctor not get paid enough for their services if it's IEHP?? I called the benefits department and put in a complaint in regards to this facility. Horrible that you refused to see my 3 year old due to what type of insurance she had. You people are wrong for doing this. I will continue to put in complaints until something is done. read more

I have to say the reason why people have phobias of dentist is because of dentist like Dr. Ramos and their staff there very dishonest with the way they charge their patients trying to get more out of pocket and the insurance when my family member called them on it they became very upset... they tried to rip my family member off of $600 when actual treatment was only $200 and then when they proceeded to clean my family members teeth they used no Novacaine and was extra rough and he said it was very painful. I feel they were trying to retaliate because they didn't get their way!!! To top it off he had an infected tooth which was obvious he needed antibiotics s which they refused to prescribe him only mouthwash and ibuprofen and said they would not give him the pills until he came in for the treatment basically they wanted him to pay the extra $600 before they would give them the antibiotics !!! I am seriously going to call the ADA and my insurance to let them know how dishonest and crooked this dentist is!! My husband happens to also be Hispanic and the front receptionist were mimicking and mocking him speaking very broken Spanish! They were very insulting and unprofessional to do that when I'm sitting there hearing everything!! We use to go to Dr. Ramos years ago when my kids were younger. They use to like going to the dentist. My insurance changed and I had to go elsewhere. I haven't found a regular dentist since moving to socal, but I was in desperate need of a check up. Upland Smile Center is conveniently located, just a few miles off the 210 and parking is a breeze, they share a lot with the Upland Hills Country Club. The first visit was super quick and painless (paperwork, xrays, check up and cleaning). I was a little nervous in the chair, the usual dentist office butterflies, but that lasted only for a moment because Dr. Ramos and her team are such pros. All the girls in the office are so sweet and efficient. I appreciated the seamless teamwork. Bonus features! There's this nifty mouth camera the doc used to show my dental caries. It was very educational...and eye opening, I came home and brushed my teeth twice tonight. And each chair has a personal tv monitor + direct tv-- I got to catch up on shahs of sunset while my teeth were being polished :D read more

I came to Dr.Ramos with an abscess and a few other issues, without delay the staff was able to evaluate and treat me in a way that made me feel comfortable with no pressure just pure concern for my well being. Were is my review??? I am in need to post again as mine disappeared . I have an implant that is not fitting correctly and my gum has hurt From the onset dentist knowledgeable but now refuses to fix. He received 4000 dollars from myself then insurance pd him 3000 dollars so 7000 dollars plus for one tooth that should be completed corrected I had another dentist that looks at the implant stating that I should ask him to remake the crown knowing that he is not listening to my concerns how can I get this done. He the original dentist said to see another dentist I did go for that appointment and they ask why the original dentist was not taking care of the implant. But to look at my implant they wanted 250 cash I did not have so left called made appointment to original dentist recurved 3 calls to make sure I was going to come for appointment of course I was I told them the morning of 2 calls to tell me they wanted 150 additional dollars for appointment well you all must know my response! This is not only a Ripe off but unfortunately the most unprofessional dentist. I do have several opportunities to follow per attorney so if he were to want this to go away He would see me and see what he can do. It's his problem I did everything ask. I am not against anyone making money. But for that I expect the work to be correct. And believe Me It Is Not. Friday night I was eating Halloween candy and my crown came off. Wow it really hurt! I had a big Halloween party to attend the following night and was panicked. This review is long overdue. We've been coming to Dr. Ramos for 15 years. She is fantastic! Due to an insurance change, we were forced to go to another dentist in Ontario for a short time. He told us our kids had multiple cavities that needed fillings and we needed deep cleaning. We were suspicious so we went back to Dr. Ramos (out of pocket) and she said none of those procedures were necessary. At the end of the year we switched back to her and have never looked back. I have been going to this dentist for over 15 years now and they are amazing! When I was little I was so afraid to go to the dentist until my parent's found this office. Dr. Ramos is always so kind and friendly. She was always especially patient when she new I was anxious about having a cavity fixed. She has always taken such good care of me that even after I moved away for college and lived in NC where my husband was stationed I would always make an appointment to only see her when I would come home to visit my family! Now that we have moved back to town and my son is about to be two we brought him to her office with us so he could see it and get to know the doctor a little and associate going to the dentist with positive feelings.
