At first , they refused to take responsibility, and after I advocated for myself, the office manager's attitude completely changed toward me. The entire process became extremely stressful. The temporary crowns fell off the very next day, forcing me to go into my surgery without them. After tooth implant, they also forgot to send my prescription to the pharmacy. The office was closed Thursday afternoon and Friday, and I couldn't reach them until Saturday morning, leaving me without the prescribed antibiotic for two days. The permanent crowns finally came in two weeks later. To make matters worse, the manager, Mirna was consistently indifferent and dismissed towards me throughout this painful ordeal. The only positive part of my experience was Sandra , one of the assistants, who was always kind , professional and respectful. Before finishing my treatment, I saw another dentist dentist for different reason . After examining my crowns, the dentist pointed out that they were not properly reaching the gum line.. She taught me a lot about the benefits of using a soft-bristle toothbrush to help protect my enamel and gums. She also shared her personal routine of using a soft-bristle toothbrush in the morning and an electric toothbrush at night, which was completely new to me and made a lot of sense. Another cool touch is that they have TVs mounted on the ceilings above the dental chairs. I've never seen that before, but it definitely makes lying there with your mouth open for an hour a little more enjoyable. The doctor also seems genuinely invested in new technology and innovation. The office has all kinds of impressive equipment, including in-house 3-D printing machines. My first visit was very emotional and I was embarrassed and angry with myself for letting so much time go by without visiting the dentist. I am so grateful for Teresa, my dental hygienist who let me cry on her chair and reassured me I was not alone and it was going to be OK. I started periodontal treatment and saw instant results. I had routine cleanings every 3 months and after about 9 months when my gums were healthy again we had the conversation of braces. Not only are Dr. Ra and all the dental hygienist amazing but so is Dr. Dacker and the ortho team! They always worked around my periodontal cleanings to ensure my treatment was never compromised. It was not always easy to schedule cleanings on ortho days but they would move schedules around and do anything they could to make it happen and I am so thankful for everyone's efforts for the 2 1/2 years I had braces. Smile Studio gave me my confidence back and were always considerate of my time and budget. They offered payment plans for my braces, and worked with my insurance to avoid any financial burden. The ladies at the front desk are always warm and welcoming and the office is beautiful! The location is next to a liquor store and barbershop, and a man who appeared to be homeless was sitting on the curb in front of the entrance. I called the office and spoke with Ashley, who was polite and professional. She explained that they usually contact the Sheriff's Department in these situations. I asked them to do so, as this is my neighborhood and I expect to feel safe when visiting a healthcare provider. I cannot speak to the quality of the dental care, as I never made it inside. My decision to cancel was based entirely on the conditions outside. I hope the office will address this issue so other patients don't have the same experience--wasting time off work and morning preparation only to turn around at the door.

They placed a temporary crown that fell out after only two weeks. I have had temporary crowns before and have never experienced anything like this. When I called for an emergency appointment to have it fixed, they told me they had no availability and suggested I go to CVS to buy temporary tooth repair putty and fix it myself until their next available appointment. That is not the level of care I expect from a dental office. The billing issues have been even worse. After spending over a month going back and forth between the office and my insurance company, I discovered they had charged me more than $1,000 out of pocket for work my insurance had already paid for. On top of that, they billed me for two premium crowns that I never approved or received. I actually received standard porcelain crowns. Their explanation was that these were all "coding mistakes." To make matters worse, they acknowledged that they owe me a refund of over $800, but I was told I have to wait seven days because the person who processes refunds, Kristie, is on vacation. Between the poor dental work, lack of emergency care, repeated billing errors, and the inconvenience of waiting for money that should never have been charged in the first place, this has been an incredibly frustrating experience. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you want quality dental care and accurate billing.
