Dr. Vu was absolutely incredible! I can't recommend there services enough. Going in for a root canal is not my idea of something fun to do. I asked for the "laughing gas" and she said no problem. I generally am not completely averse to oral procedures, but I find myself subconsciously tightening my arms and legs without realizing it. Between the initial numbing q-tip, the following injections and the nitrous oxide, I was golden. She was very pleasant and made sure I was comfortable. Alexis and Ashley were very pleasant as well when I checked in, smiles and bright personalities! The assistant, Angela, was there to answer my questions and deal with my sort of nervous energy and failed attempts at humor, LoL! I left with no pain and drove home with no issues or concerns. As I type this, it is two hours after the procedure. I still have some numbness on the side that was worked on, but no pain. I salute Upland Endodontix for providing excellent service! My dentist referred me to Upland Endodontix, and the experience was absolutely amazing. First, they gave me lip balm before and after the procedure -- such a thoughtful touch! Second, they provided a warm facial towel to freshen up afterward, which felt so comforting. While Dr. Byon worked, he used impressive high-tech equipment and kept me informed every 5-10 minutes about what he was doing and how much longer the procedure would take. That really helped ease my nerves. Anyone who's had a root canal knows how uncomfortable it can be when debris gets in your mouth and throat, making you cough or choke while waiting for suction. Not here! They used this adorable little umbrella around my tooth that caught everything and prevented debris from going into my mouth. I've never seen that before -- genius! I was referred to this clinic by another dentist. The specific tooth requiring root canal treatment and the related X-ray images were sent to them in advance. When I arrived at the clinic, I was kept sitting in the dental chair for approximately 30 minutes. After that, the dentist reviewed my X-ray, but no treatment was started. Before beginning any procedure, I was asked to speak with the front desk regarding pricing. I was then quoted approximately $1,600 for the treatment. I found this amount unreasonably high and declined the treatment. Despite the fact that no treatment or procedure was performed, I was subsequently told that I had to pay a $130 consultation fee. I did not accept this charge and did not make any payment, because I was never informed of any fees prior to the visit or examination. Patients are legally required to be informed in advance about costs, procedures, and alternatives. This falls under the principle of informed consent, patient rights including the right to prior disclosure and consent, and the transparency and disclosure obligations required by the California Dental Board and general healthcare regulations. Even though I clearly explained my legal rights to them, I later learned that the $130 charge was sent to a collection agency for payment. I am currently filing complaints and reports with all relevant regulatory and official authorities regarding this matter. Transparency and respect for patient rights are essential in healthcare. Unfortunately, I had a negative experience here and would advise others to proceed with caution read more

I received a root canal procedure on February 23 performed by Dr. BYUN. The staff is very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. When entering the office they make you feel very welcome. My experience with the root canal with the doctor was exceptional. I felt very safe and handled with care. His assistant was very professional and nice. Also, the equipment that was used for the procedure was up-to-date and and making my experience little to no pain I would definitely recommend this for specialized dental procedures that you need since my procedure. My dentist referred me here when an old root canal started causing me pain. The office was very peaceful and clean. The staff was very nice and fun to chat with. The endodontist himself wasn't too talkative but that's OK. He was still kind, very informative, explained things clearly, and got straight to work. I was in and out in about an hour! During the procedure, they had a small blanket I could use since I get cold easily. Afterwards, they gave me a small packet of lip balm and mints that had the company logo. I liked that! I felt very taken care of and my pain hasn't returned. Great work. 10/10. read more

I was referred for a root canal evaluation. I was able to get an appointment for same day. Staff was very efficient. Dr Kory confirmed that I needed a root canal and proceeded to have me sign consents and have a scan so he could see what he had to do. He said normally molars had 2 roots, but mine had 3 and one of them divided into two towards the bottom. Good call on his part. A normal root canal is done in under an hour, mine took him an hour and a half. Every step was explained and I was constantly asked how I was doing and if I felt any discomfort he would inject me with more anesthesia as needed. He was very professional, compassionate, and kind. Thank you Dr Kory for helping me get rid of my miserable toothache. I couldn't take it anymore. I give him a 5/5 and would definitely recommend to my family and friends!!! read more

I can't believe I am saying this but I had a very good experience at Upland Endodontix when my dentist determined that I needed a root canal in my back molar. It had been about thirty years since I had my last root canal and it was a very bad experience, going in several times for more drilling before the pain finally stopped. So needless to say I was very nervous and not looking forward to having it done. However, the staff and Dr. Byun were so professional and they throughly communicated the process through the whole procedure. I never experienced any after pain and they even called me for two days after to check on me and see how I was doing. Dr. Saafa and his staff were amazing! I was told by another endodontist that I needed to have three root canals and Surgery. I went in to see Dr.Saafa for a second opinion and it turned out, I only needed one root canal and no surgery. The other teeth were perfectly fine. My experience with he and his staff were seamless. He stayed after work to do the procedure the same day and I had zero pain during or after. He is so kind, I highly recommend this office. read more

My wife had a very unpleasant experience at this office. She was told she needed a 3D xray and it would be $285 out of pocket that day for the picture before the Dr can confirm what needs to be done (understandable) but when she said our insurance does cover 3D x-rays because she had a preauthorization from the insurance plan the office manager said they all use different codes which to me makes no sense and sounds like a scam/fraud because a 3D scan should be the same code. I called my insurance when we left to verify and sure enough they said it was covered at 100% and they were incorrect, they tried to call to clear it up and the office refused to take calls from my insurance provider as well as myself saying they close at 6:00 but stop taking calls "at their discretion" had I just paid the $285 without being aware of my plan I would've been out that $$ I can't imagine the made up amounts they would have charged with their fake codes for treatment. The Dr should be ashamed to have this incompetent lady working his front desk, but I'm sure he trained her this way to take advantage of customers! BEWARE and always check your policy yourself. I learned a $60 lesson because that's what I still paid after having nothing done and still leaving with pain. The other ladies (xray tech) were very friendly. I hope future patients are treated fairly and honestly...what a shame to run your business with bad ethics and morals! read more

Let me start by saying, who really wants a root canal?No one is standing in line to rush in for that type of procedure. But when you do need one you want to go to an experienced professional that has had the extra training so the procedure goes well. My experience with Upland Endodonix has been great! From the first phone call were Alexis answered the phone, yes a real person, not a computerized voice but a very friendly young lady that was more than willing to help. The second time that I had called with a question Ashley answered the phone and was every bit as friendly and kind. When I went for my evaluation appointment I had the pleasure of meeting both Alexis and Ashley. I also met Dr. Byun who was very kind and thorough. I left with a clear understanding of what was next. When I went back for the actual root canal I was greeted by smiling Ashley and Alexis once again. Then after a short wait I was called back by Savanah who is Dr. Byuns assistant. Everything was explained to me about the procedure. It only took about 35-40 minutes. It was painless, Dr. Byun was extremely gentle. After the procedure Savanah gave me a warm wash cloth to wipe my face with, that was a nice touch to be sure that I wasn't walking out of there with anything on my face. The after care instructions were explained and I was given a hand out with everything clearly written. After the numbness wore off I had very little discomfort. The next day I received a call from Alexis to check on me and asked if I had any questions or concerns. My overall experience with Upland Endodonix has been very pleasant.
