First, what were the immediate dental necessities, and of course the second and biggest thing, COST! Dr. Shain spent plenty of time coming up with a treatment strategy that really helped put the costs in segments that a working person with no insurance could afford. This is a great dental office and Dr. Nat Shain is a great help and does great work!

I was blown away by the amount of communication and education, but also the compassion and care of the team. I was a little nervous and afraid to be honest, but they encouraged me, allowed me to take breaks when I needed, and really looked out for my wellbeing. Dr. Akkari prioritized my tooth and preserving it longterm over a quick or pricier fix. Thankful for this place.

I just had 2 small cavities taken care of yesterday and I went in there with such ease knowing I was in good hands based on my previous experience with Dr. Akkari. Once again, the whole process was completely pain free and I was out of there in less than an hour (the procedure itself was at most 15 minutes). Also, I cant understand why there are a few negative reviews about their receptionists. Rita has always been super sweet & I can't remember the other ladies name but they have always been super polite and helpful with scheduling, rescheduling, checking in & helping me get a referral to an oral surgeon. And as always, his dental assistants are kind & gentle as well.

All these things can make it a very stressful and frustrating experience. So let me begin with my personal experience at Dr. Luu's office. The office itself is nothing special, but it has everything it needs. The office staff was very sweet and helpful. Dr. Luu was great, he took his time, and was very thorough. They went over all prices with me and didn't pressure me to get things I didn't want. (That's a first!) Dr. Luu was very honest and upfront. He was also very gentle and made sure I felt no pain during and after services. All in all a surprisingly pleasant dentist visit...finally!

(Maybe it's something common, but I freaked out) The second time was at Smile Care on Indiana and Tyler. They were the absolute worst. Everytime I went in it was a 3+ hour visit, and they also wanted to do everything at once. I allowed them to do that and regreted it. Thankfully, a good friend of mine recommended Dr. Lu. He is super sweet, patient with children, and efficient. He shows you, and explains to you exactly what work you absolutely need done. He accmomplished so much more in one visit, than what Smile Care did in 2. Yes! He began the process of fixing the work I had done 2 years ago at that other place. My appointment was at 4:30 and I was walking out at 6:30. He did my daughters cleaning, my x-rays and 4fills.... I will be coming back for the side in a couple of weeks. I am super happy and satisfied with the work he did yesterday and look forward to finally having a beautiful smile. Call to check if your isurance is accepted. You won't regret it.
