Another amazing experience! Wesley came out to do work today and he went above and beyond to ensure…read moreI knew everything that was going on as it went on and to ensure I knew what could happen. We had the air handler cleaned and an air scrubber installed. The price for the job went up some due to inflation, but, it won't need replacing for 3 years and will keep the air handler from getting build up! Keep up the great work, team, and thank you for everything, Wesley!

I have used Hawley Air for years, but things have severely slipped…read more In late July, I paid them to service both my cooling and heating systems. The technician signed off, stating everything was operating perfectly. At the time, I asked them to check on a UV light I'd had installed years ago to prevent mold in the system, because I'd heard nothing about it despite having Hawley inspect and work on my system regularly for years. They had failed to notice that the UV light bulb was completely burned out. When I asked for an estimate to replace it, they sent me an invoice wanting to charge an outrageous $500 just to change a lightbulb. Much worse, the moment the first cold week arrived less than 90 days later, my heat wouldn't turn on at all due to a broken draft inducer motor. This motor sits completely idle all summer. According to 2 HVAC techs I've spoken with, that means it's likely that the Hawley technician skipped the heating test entirely in July, took my money, and signed off anyway. When I contacted customer service about these issues, they said they'd escalate it to the owner, but instead ignored me for a week. When I followed up, they refused to do anything to make it right. Instead, they hid behind company policies and tried to charge me another $99 diagnostic fee just to come back out. But hey. At least they wished me a "blessed day." [insert rolled eyes emoji here] Leaving a long-term customer with no heat right before winter because your tech didn't do their job is unacceptable. Do not trust them with your home.

I was in a hot spot literally when the long time unit I had went kaput! B & H responded to my…read moreservice request immediately and replaced the old unit with a new modern one that is quiet and more efficient. The installers and inspectors were professional and courteous and they turned a heated situation into a cool experience. (Pun intended) Looking forward to saving on my energy bill for the next few years. Thanks for your hard work and service.

UPDATE: After the…read moreinitial delay with being able to get an estimate and have the work started, we were finally able to get the work completed. I am pleased with the quality of work and friendliness of the staff, and I would plan to use B & H again in the future for any further HVAC needs! Original Review: I'm currently undergoing a restoration project and needed an HVAC company to hopefully move a vent that we believe was the cause of some damage to our bathroom floor. I contacted a local contractor I used for other work who kindly recommended B&H for any HVAC needs. I first contacted B&H 21May and was able to schedule someone to come out and look at things 23May. The service tech that came out, who arrived promptly, was able to look at the project and even help identify another issue that I was experiencing with our HVAC system. They told me that the office should contact me later that day or the day following with an estimate for the work, which is required to initiate installation/repairs. I hadn't heard anything the following day (24May) and decided to call to see if there was any mix up with my email or contact info. The office staff had all of my information correct and told me that they would notify the estimator that I was still seeking an estimate for the work. The following Tuesday (28May) I still hadn't received an estimate, and called that afternoon. The office staff notified me that the estimator had an emergency and was out of office the latter end of the previous week and was out of office the remainder of the day, but that they would again notify the estimator that I was still seeking the estimate for this work. Today (31May) I still had not received an estimate. I called again, the office staff was aware of the estimate that I was still looking to receive, and forwarded me to the voicemail of the estimator, who I left a message for. I don't enjoy writing a negative review, and I'm hoping that I will have the opportunity to update this review with a better score. I'm understanding that emergencies come up and things can get delayed, but at this point I'm entirely dissatisfied that it has taken more than 6 business days to receive an estimate. This work is preventing me from completing the restoration work that is ongoing, where we have half our bathroom floor removed. I'm enthusiastic to use B&H as it's a local company and came recommended to me from a trusted source, but I have really been let down, specifically from their own claims of fast and prompt service. Please make this right B&H, I mostly would just like to get our house back in order, and this is starting to take way too long.
